Begnas lake is the second largest amongst the lakes in Pokhara valley. The area around begnas lake , with a number of resorts is a popular destination for tourists visiting pokhara. We took bubble tea and enjoyed the views. 👀✌️

We left our Fishtail Lodge at 1045 and reached the third largest freshwater lake in Nepal , located in the south-eastern part of the Pokhara Valley , Begnas lake at 1130 by our vehicle . While going on the embankment we saw egrets lined on the paddy fields and students and teachers came for picnic , cooking their lunch . Begnas lake is famous for cage culture of exotic carps such as Aristichthys nobilis (Bighead carp), Hypophthalmichthys molitrix (Silver carp), Ctenopharyngodon idellus (Grass carp), Cyprinus carpio (Common carp) and Labeo rohita (Rohu) . Nylon or polyethylene net cage have been most popular among cage fish farmers of the Lake. Local fisherman could weave their own netting of mesh size more than 25 mm locally. Almost 90% of nursery cage is made by netlon cage (Kalo jal) and production cages by nylon or polyethylene threads.

The best experience.❤️ It's surreal, beautiful, calm and amazing place to be. Spare at least a day. Check the local cuisine. Take a boat and row around. Don't miss out if you are around.

One of my favorite Pokhara places. A peaceful setting where you can unwind and enjoy the boating. It's a beautiful place to be. Enjoy an hour of boating to the fullest. There are also some restaurants at the lake's end.

This lake is far beautiful than fewa and a lot quieter too . The lake is clean but I notice human encroachment , which needs to be changed. The eateries around it is also very good.

Fresh water lake in kaski district of Nepal that changes colour depending on the season. it is the second largest of the eight lakes in Pokhara valley with a maximum depth of 10 meters. Location: It takes about 40 minutes by bus from Pokhara to reach the lake. Not far from the maddening crowd but extremely clean and quiet. Since it is visited comparatively less, the original beauty is undisturbed. The lake supports irrigation and fisheries. Water level in the lake is regulated by a dam constructed in 1988 as it fluctuates with season and because of use for irrigation. Pressure of increasing human population is forcing conversion of swampy area into land for cultivation. Highlights: Boating, fishing and swimming are some of the activities you can indulge in, the bonus being surrounding green mountains.

Very calm and peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The road conition is fairly good. The availability of luxury might be insufficient for some but for average people, this place offers the calm environment much needed in this chaotic world.

Begnas Lake (बेगनास ताल) is a freshwater lake in Kaski district of Nepal about 30 mins drive from Pokhara Valley. One will have a very peaceful experience while boating around the lake and the lakeside BBQ fish are so good there.

I went there with one of my friend on 15th November 2019 during sight seeing of Pokhra. We visited this place 2 times. 15th November I visited for the first time. The view Oh My God. I wanted to spend my whole time in this place. But we have leave for another sight seeing. Then I decided to come there next personally. Next day 16th November I went there for 2nd time. But weather was cloudy. Anyway, it's a one of the must visit place in Pokhra.

The minimum boating time is estimated for 1 hour at rs. 700. Half an hour time should also be included as I found it is a bit boring for sitting in a boat for such a long time. When it comes to the place, it's a great place to explore and enjoy the natural view.

A Serene Oasis - Begnas Lake Begnas Lake is truly a hidden gem nestled in the serene hills of Nepal. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this stunning lake, and I was left awe-struck by its natural beauty and tranquility. The lake is surrounded by lush green hills that create a picturesque backdrop, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. The clear turquoise waters of the lake are mesmerizing, reflecting the stunning mountains and clouds, creating a breathtaking view. The peaceful ambiance of Begnas Lake is perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. I spent hours just sitting by the lake, listening to the gentle lapping of the water and watching the colorful boats gliding by. It was a truly meditative experience that left me feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The local community around Begnas Lake is warm and welcoming, and I was able to interact with the friendly locals, who shared stories about the lake's history and significance in their culture. The warm hospitality and genuine smiles of the people added to the charm of my visit. The lake offers various recreational activities, such as boating and fishing, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The boat ride on the calm waters of Begnas Lake was a highlight of my visit, providing me with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and an opportunity to appreciate the unspoiled natural beauty of the region. I also had the chance to taste some delicious local cuisine at the nearby restaurants, which offered a unique blend of flavors and spices. The traditional Nepali dishes were a treat to my taste buds, and I was impressed by the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Overall, my experience at Begnas Lake was nothing short of magical. It is a serene oasis that offers a respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in the lap of nature, Begnas Lake is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking serenity, natural beauty, and a cultural experience.

I went there in the morning. While on the way seeing the beautiful scenario of the mountains we reached there. There was fog all over the lake which was produced by water because of extreme cold temperature. The fisherman there were catching very big fishes. I was very shocked to see that. It is one of the most beautiful place/lake of Nepal

The third largest fresh water lake of Nepal, Begnas lake was beautiful with clear water & a dam was seen to irrigate fields. Few wooden boats were seen ferrying tourists around the lake. Part of the lake was used for fisheries. Lake was seen clearly from a view tower constructed at a hill top above the lake.

Nice place for lake view and mountains 🏔️🏔️🏔️ too. If u are in summer it's quite hot than fewa lake and winter ❄️❄️❄️ colder as well. If you are going visit majhikuna for grill fish and thakali Khana. U can go Andheri kuna which is left side of begnas lake good for steam fish .. Nice view U can spend 3 to 4 hour. There is many hotels if you want to stay.
