Gokyo Lakes are oligotrophic lakes in Nepal's Sagarmatha National Park, located at an altitude of 4,700–5,000 m (15,400–16,400 ft) above sea level. Lakes and resort were named after Gokyo Ri peak (5484 m).These lakes are the world's highest freshwater lake system comprising six main lakes, of which Thonak Lake is the largest. The Gokyo Lake is considered sacred site by both Buddhist,Traditionals & Hindus.

We came here after 3 days of tracking from Gorak Shep. The lakes are beautiful. We stayed at the village on the 3rd lakes and part of the team hiked up to Gokyo Ri. Saw the holy ducks and sat by the lake side despite the cold weather. it was so serene and peaceful.

One of the most amazing National Parks of Nepal with clear water river, which runs through the bustling towns, lush green fields, whilst washing the faces of millions of rocks, and being the home to thousands of kinds of fish, especially Trout, and Salmon. Sitting on a rock in the middle of the river with your toes dipped in the refreshing water, whilst enjoying the surroundings, the nature, the crimson rays of amazing sunshine, talking to your beautiful girlfriend who wears a floral headband, fills your days with her sweet smile, and her beautiful big brown eyes reflect the rays which calms your heart. The moisture on her luscious lips glow like water splash. You lean on her and inhale the scent of a woman, with excitement and joy, you wrap your arms around her, and want those moments to stay together. Here, I am looking for those amazing moments to spend with someone who is equally adventurous, and outgoing as I am. Will my dreams come true? Will I be able to find my dream queen?

Trek to gokyo feels me like living different new planet of full enjoyment and have great memory here. The Gokyo Lakes are also part of an extended Everest Base Camp trek known as the EBC trek via Gokyo Lakes. This trek is commonly hiked by people with slightly more time to trek as the trail is 4 days longer than the standard EBC trek. The Gokyo Lakes trek also has the added benefit of being a circular route as opposed to the standard EBC trek which returns along the same trail.

Magnificent views of this lake, the tranquil valley glacier and the ice melting from the mountain tops results into the colossal waterfalls from the mountains and the water gets collected here in this Gokyo lake, is supposed to be very auspicious and sacred lake according to hindu and Buddhism mythology. Breathtaking views of this lake. One can enjoy the chilling weather and fantastic views and also listening to the napali folk music sitting here.

The Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Village, and Gokyo Ri are less-traveled than the main track to Everest, have better scenery, and lead to the incomparable Cho La Pass. Go Gokyo and Cho La to Everest Base Camp for the best high-altitude experience in the Everest Region!
