Relaxing place for coffee with a complete window view of Basantpur. A bit expensive though.

Himalayan Java has been people’s favorite place for coffee and seasonal fruits juices along with different cookies and cakes. This one located at Basantapur has good ambience. One can utilize the window seats to see some parts of Durban Square. One can enjoy the internet and work in group and solely as well. There is a separate part for smokers which provides even smoking people to enjoy coffee talk and work. Friendly staff are ready to serve

I really used to like Basantapur Himalayan Java Outlet as the service, food and ambience used to be great. This time the sandwich and the matcha smoothie were so bland. Spaghetti Bolognese and blueberry smoothie were okay-ish. The service was also late. I hope they will improve their food and service.

They have the best blueberry cheesecake. Nice ambiance and great staff.

Himalayan Java Coffee is a cool coffee chain in Nepal. Great space for hanging out and drinking freshly roasted coffee and their chai isn't bad either!

I would rate this outlet of java the lowest. The coffee was good and the staffs were friendly. But I did not like the ambience there, seemed quite unsanitary and unmanaged. And yes, the blended mint lemonade was horrible. My one of the favorite drinks of java turned out to be a horror. Hope to take this review positively.

Located beside the durbar square of Kathmandu. With view looking over the beautiful architecture of old Kathmandu. U can simply glance over to look at all the people enjoying the space and taking photos.

5 star for ambience and view from there. 5 stars Spacious, quite 5 stars for Hospitality and Service 4.5 star on foods and beverages. Need some improvements. Overall I suggest 5 stars.

Very bad place to go for breakfast. So disappointed... hash brown looks like aloo patty..we didnt even get our complete order.. the staff is very friendly and kind though. The ambience is also wonderful with the cute view of the kumari house.

This is one of the busiest of Java outlets and not so much work friendly, specially in the late afternoon. Ambience is typical, could use a renovation to level up to the newer Java outlets. It features the one of a kind Basantapur view, so it is certainly a reason enough to enjoy a cup of coffee from here.

Friendly staff. Two levels with view on Durbar Square, where all the souvenirs are sold. Special part for smokers. Good caramel macchiato. Second time we had some lunch there, also very good. Would fully recommend this restaurant

Awesome customer service. Nice coffee and food were served. I pointed out some issues to staff, and they took it properly. Hope they will improve those small issues like, big brekky comes frozen and they heat it up. I wish they cooked in premises, and whoever preps, they should check menu what stuff are included, there was grilled tomatoes and baked bean missing. Chocolate brownie tasted like sponge cake. Waitstaff is doing brilliant work.

Himalayan Java Basantapur is in the list of my favourite places. Since I love the basantapur vibes, this place will serve you the cozy and quiet ambience but at the same time enjoy the surroundings, the Durbar area. And everything they serve is worth the penny.

Trusting the brand as a chain cafe, I’d expect the food to be much better. Honestly disappointing food and rather slow service. I have never had a drier, more bland tasting sandwich than this. Wouldn’t recommend.

I want there for breakfast with my family, everything was good but in the end we found a glass in our jam, my wife already had the glass in her mouth, thank God she took it out. We made a complain and they said they are sorry but still charge us for the food.

Coffee was good but the pastry was not satisfying. Location and atmosphere is perfect.

hot chocolate was good, red velvet cake had almost no taste. only fancy teas like „uplift“ or „beauty blablah“, the waiter couldn’t explain what their flavours are. quite expensive and overall not worth the money.

Asked specifically for no tomato on my sandwich, they brought me one with tomato when I expressed i'm allergic and i would like a new one, they just scrapped the tomato from the sandwich which lead me to have mild allergic reaction. Not something you want whilst on a holiday.

Good coffee! Chicken basil mozzarella and Mushroom Pizza definitely worth a try!

Coffee's fine They have this thing called opera cake, a big no no and that hefty price tag on it some kind of extra sweet dry tiramisu gone horrible.

The food and drinks were ok! It wasn't consistent with the same drinks I had in their other outlets. Overall a good place to hangout with friends.

I always have a cheesecake and walnut brownie whenever I visit Himalayan Java, whatever branch it is. Did the same here as well. And loved it, of course. I also had hot chocolate here. Liked it as well.

Disappointed with the breakfast provided, which included under cooked baked beans. Had higher expectations... however, the staff members were commendable. Would recommend Soma for breakfast...

Really an amazing place. The outlet in Basantapur is well located, very clean and tidy with comfortable chairs and tables. The menu is same in all HJ outlets. The service is really quick and staffs are very polite. I found everything fresh here. Evening vibes is really amazing, highly recommended!
