Cozy and homely. A place to spend alone time reading book or hang out in group. This cafe is a must visit if you like an homely cozy environment. The decoration of the cafe here does not only offer a warm welcome but also makes a really aesthetic place to get some good pictures. The staffs are quite helpful. They offer really good food and drinks but I must say the menu is quite on the expensive side.

A beautiful and aesthetic place in the heart of Kathmandu. Perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle and the chaos of the city. Homely and cozy ambience with good food. On the expensive side but if you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the vibe, go for it. We happened to visit as Christmas was nearing so the decor was quite merry. All in all, we enjoyed a lot :)

Beautiful atmosphere, a great place to escape the chaos of Kathmandu. And the food is amazing. The owner is very knowledgeable about vegan/veg, and it's one of the few places I've found that have non dairy milk for coffee. I can't love this place anymore.

I don't understand the negative reviews, not even the 'little bit expensive' comments considering how insanely pricy chains like Himalayan Java are but produce very generic food. Here at De Lamar you can tell that it's fresh, organic and healthy. The menu has good options but is not overwhelming, also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. On my first time here, we paid a total of 1500 for two people which I do not consider expensive for a freshly prepared breakfast at all. I love how many plants there are around. It makes this place feel like an oasis, considering it's literally right next to Ring Road. The only thing I wish (but understand why it's not possible) is that now in winter it was a bit sunnier there. It does get a bit chilly after some time.

The place was filled with plants. Cat friendly place with good food and good ambiance. I loved that their ketchup that came with my veg sandwich set was authentic unlike ketchups from other stores. Highly recommend for brunch and aesthetic pics!

It was good at the beginning..but Pachi Pachi hudae it’s getting really bad…i have come here like 15 times ahile samma …I literally have to shout several times for person to take order …and secondly why the sofas are always reserved …15 times ma 15 choti nai the sofas are reserved basna mildaena vancha ..tara 3,4 hour saman ni koi aaudaena teta basna …why there is a sofa if koi basna mildaena vane? Basyo vane ni aayera reserved ho vane janu vandincha …I have experienced that and I have seen other people experience same as well….it is so disrespectful…. Jaile Kasari reserved huncha? Reserved vaye pani koi aayera kina basdaena khai? I am so disappointed

The place is so really nice, the food, service and ambience everything is good.

Nice place to eat, has got a good vibe and music. But the food is not tasty. Too much garlic in spaghetti meatballs and the hot chocolate was not hot enough when served. The bathroom is decorated but not clean. Try to focus on what is important, not just on the looks.

It has always been my favorite place until the last time i visited. We’re just sitting at the balcony and lady just showed up saying “ don’t do stuffs that will badnaam our cafe” that was so disrespectful for us. Never ever going back again. I understand couples visit there and may do couple things that may seem vulgar. But we were literally standing at the balcony having personal conversation, we felt so bad. She could have said things in a nicer and polite way, cause people are not that stupid who won’t understand. Super disappointed. You cannot just say things that harms someone’s character, badnaam is a very big word. And we were not trying to BADNAAM your cafe. Thanks for ruining our day!

A great cafe to hangout with your friends or just sit in the corner and complete your pending works. The atmosphere is quite calming. They offer a good variety of food as well. Love to go there and escape the hustle.

The ambience was good but I dont think i have ever been so disappointed with the food. We ordered the falafel avocado wrap and chilli garlic tofu. Both the falafel and the fried tofu had a horrid smell to it. While the wrap was still edible the tofu was too salty to the extent mouth went numb after just one piece. The fries served along with the wrap were rock hard, translucent and had no taste at all.

Awesome little cafe with good drinks and food. Though not a lot of seating places inside. You can even play games like uno, ludo inside.

I went here with my boyfriend. The owner was so rude . She acted like we were doing something illegal and was watching us throughout the evening .She even followed us to the terrace when we just wanted to see the place and have some air which was very weird . She made us very uncomfortable when we were not even acting like couples . Why would you even open a place like this if you are this narrow minded. She had no right to treat us like that even if she owed the place . This review is not only based on our opinion but also our friends who have been through similar experiences.
