I booked a Suite for Friday night. I show up and the hotel had been turned into a quarantine facility. Was I ever informed? Of course not. This is how businesses fail. They then rushed around and put new at their other, much lower grade hotel around the corner in a room that was certainly not a suite. No I wouldn't recommend staying here unless of course you are in quarantine and dont have a choice.

Nice Restaurant Area, Great food, Comfortable rooms, i loved the fact that hotel is thoughtful of guests with amenities like Hot Water boiler, Teabags, Toothbrush and Toothpaste. And great Room Service for foods. Friendly staffs, Roju was especially helpful helpful. I will stay there each time i go to Nepal

It's a decent budget hotel. We did a family trip; booked 3 rooms. Every one of the rooms was musky/dusty. Sheets/towels were stained, and the bathrooms were pretty abysmal. It felt like the rooms hadn't been turned down/aired out in sometime. Water heater barely gave out luke warm water for showers. In general the place is a bit run down and needs a thorough cleaning. On the bright side the coffee/service/food were relatively good and reasonably priced. Apparently, on the weekends the basement of the hotel turns into a rave den. The stairwell to said basement looked terrifyingly dingy...like bad things lurked there in the dark. If you are a stickler for cleanliness...don't stay here.

Loved this hotel. It is at the prime location of lazimpat. Parking can be confusing though. Decor is good. Also there is a dhaba right under the hotel building. Try the food there.

Room was decent, service was good, however I requested extra towels but they never showed up. Rooms were very quiet and the location is good has good bars and restaurants nearby.

Excellent hotel, clean room

I am staying here for a week on business travel. The rooms are cozy, classic and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are only 2 set backs, which are they don't have a proper lounger for guests to receive recover visitors for a short meeting meet and the signboard is very small and hidden for taxi drivers to identify the location.

The location is good. The owner here is really nice and humble. I think its a beautiful place to be at for what you are paying for. Breakfast is good, food is good guys please take Breakfast if u. R staying there. They even have a place to part underground.

I found this little gem in the Lazimpat area during this June, 2022 trip of mine to Kathmandu. This is a small boutique hotel, right on the busy Lazimpat road, opposite to Shangri-La-Hotel. It is hard to identify the hotel from outside - only part of the entrance is on the mainroad. But that means that you are away from the car honks and traffic sound. The hotel is well maintained by the staff and management. The value for money is excellent! They offer free breakfast, which is adequate. The food, in general, similar to the standard of Kathmandu, very good. The staff, although not very well conversant in English, are super friendly and helpful. Definitely will take Sunshine Boutique Hotel in my next trip to Kathmandu valley!
