A peaceful and beautiful place to be with the sound of the waterfall calming our nerves. The view of the valley is beautiful and the colors of nature are so vibrant. The volume of water is obviously bigger during rainfall seasons but it is still amazing now. One has to buy a ticket to enter this place, prices depend on your nationality. It's Rs 100 per person for nepalese people.

One of the best places to go for a hike in Kathmandu Valley. This place provides ample views of the surrounding hills and has waterfalls and places to eat all around. Also it is one of the starting places to hike to other locations as well such as Chisapani and tarebhir among others. You can travel by car or bike too but if you want a day's hike its the perfect place to be. P.S. there is an entry fee of Rs.100 for Nepalese citizens to enter the Shivapuri National park which resides in this area. Lots of fauna to view as well. Also take a bottle of water and some light snacks if you fancy.

One of the best route for a short hike. Waterfalls, rivers, and the greenery during the hike takes you to a different place which is very pleasing. Sundarijal is one of my personal favorites around the Kathmandu valley.

I recently visited Sundarijal Waterfall and was absolutely mesmerized by its breathtaking beauty. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the cascading waters create a serene and tranquil atmosphere that's perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of city life. The hike to the waterfall was invigorating, offering glimpses of diverse flora and fauna along the way. Once there, the sight of the majestic waterfall was truly awe-inspiring. It's an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts, photographers, or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat. Don't forget to capture the magical moments and embrace the serenity of Sundarijal Waterfall!

Best destination for hiking from Kathmandu valley. Enjoy the uphill inside the greenery forest and water fall. You can visit mulkharkha and chisa Pani through this route. From sundarijal you have to take a ticket which will cost Rs 100 per person. I highly recommend you to visit there once. Thank you

Wonderful Place to hike anytime of the year. It is comparatively easy and short for hikers. On the way to chisapani you will find ample shops for food or drinks.

Takes about 30 mins in motorbike from Kathmandu (an hour in public bus). This is the best place nearest to Kathmandu to enjoy waterfall. For tourist, it cost Rs 500 to enter the conserved area. The buses ply till 6 PM (I think, better to make sure). There might be very limited taxis. You can hike many hours up. The settlement gets lesser as you go up, so prepare yourself well with food. There are many natural water sources alongside the pathway (drinkable). But you might want carry a bottle.ind no toilets here. At least the times, I was the dark clouds start gathering around afternoon. When it does, it's usually time to get out of water (if you are swimming/bathing). You never know if it's raining somewhere above and the current of water may change without you knowing it.
