Always Happy co. is an amazing all vegetarian/vegan place (though majority of the menu is Vegan). The menu is diverse and offers super tasty and nutritious food - a rare combination. The place is run by a super friendly and passionate hard working couple. The cafe itself is very clean and loved the bright colors and ambience. I personally tried their tofu burrito, green protein smoothie, and a chocolate doughnut. I went back super happy and super satiated without having to worry about my protein needs! PS: I'll be updating the review once I try out more food items.

Wow great food, better than expected, in the heart of Kathmandu city Vegan and Vegetarian salad based cafe. Both the quality of the food and the service, very impressed. This was a fantastic find. Full vegan menu with a great range of healthy and tasty food. As a vegan, it's great to be able to go somewhere where I can order anything from the menu without worrying if there is butter or milk solids in the food. We visited multiple times including a surprisingly good breakfast before we left Kathmandu. They were one of the only places open at the times they advertised and were happy to accommodate us. 100% worth a visit.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Always Happy Food, a vegetarian and vegan cafe located in the bustling city of Katmandu. My mobile popped this food vendor when I was looking for something unrelated to food, but I was amazed at the reviews and decided to try it. I am not a vegan, but 90% of the food I eat could be considered vegan, so I know good vegan food when I see it and always try it when it looks good. And I tell you that the reviews were spot on. The food is fantastic and the place amazing. The vendor is situated inside the ONLY pedestrian road in Kathmandu and all shippers should support vendors on that road in order to show everyone that we like pedestrian roads and we want more of them in Kathmandu! Other than that, you can sit OUTSIDE and not be pestered by cars and motorbikes. The place is amazing inside also, but I took the opportunity to sit outside anyway. The service was excellent, and the food amazing! I ordered one kimchi tofu wrap because it is the first time I had the opportunity to include kimchi in my wrap. I loved it. Even though it was big enough, I had to eat another one with mushrooms because the first one was great! Well-done people! Vegan or not, you have to go there!

The best vegan restaurant in Kathmandu. Miso Tofu Salad is too die for. The concept of making your own salad is really amazing. Coffee with Cashew milk is a good healthy beverage that they serve. The staff is lovely. We came here once and since then we have one of our daily meals here everyday.

Always Happy Food is a very clean, bright, green and nice place. I never wanted to go in there coz they only served veg or vegan food and myself being a raksha, always thought that veg was for cows. But yesterday I went and got a great surprise. The lady working behind the counter and smiling and gave me a warm reception. I ordered the Creamy Potato Sandwich. It was really creamy and tasted fantastic. I wish they served soup as well coz that sandwich would have really gone well with a great tasting soup. Great service, great food.

The best vegan food in Kathmandu!!! Come and try this beautiful vegan spot! What I love and appreciate about this place is everything they serve is fully vegan! The owners are so lovely and they greeted us with warm smiles and you can feel they really enjoyed what they are doing. As vegan ourselves, we feel so happy that we can have vegan options in anywhere we go! We tried the avocado black beans salad bowl, soy paneer tikka masala sandwich, mexican burrito wrap and fruit bowl. Everything was so healthy, and tasty!!! Highly recommend this wonderful place!!!

Nice vegan place in Thamel. Loved the paneer sandwich and the smoothie. Generous portion sizes and really filling without the guilt. Also, friendly staff. Even if we had some difficulty communicating our orders, they made sure they got our orders right.

A great place to get a healthy veg snack. I really like the burritos and the tortillas. They are well made and taste delicious. I will definitely go back again.

The food is so good , I ordered Roasted Tomato Tofu avocado burrito, fresh ingredients in big portions. Although for me the salad and burritos were a bit spicy, green smoothie is really refreshing, highly recommended!

Let’s face it…salad is boring. Usually there’s no imagination to a salad. But alas we come to this place. The variety, the freshness, the depth of flavors, the texture and taste…all of it is 10 out of 10. No more boring salad here. They use different varieties of produce to help create this masterpiece of deliciousness. I had the falafel salad and it was a joy in every bite. I also had the green smoothie and oh the taste and balance of veg with fruit create a loving burst of flavor with every gulp. Always Happy, lives up to its name. The only thing I would suggest is to put the ingredients in the description of what your serving bc ppl could have allergies and specific taste preferences.

What a find! Vegan and vegetarian options right in the heart of Thamel. Wander down the wonderfully traffic free Mandala Street to find this gem. The coffee and food here is terrific. The staff are friendly and helpful too. And of course the value for money is incredible. Love it.

They were so nice, brought some fruit for the baby to eat and that really calmed him down. One of these rare places in Nepal where you don't need to ask for plates or water, they just bring them to you. And the food was great, try the sausage wrap!

A cozy, vegan gem located on the back alley of busy street in Thamel. Serving mainly healthier dishes with fresh ingredients (kale, quinoa), they have newly introduced Indian & Indian Chinese dishes too (biryani, garlic paneer KUL ha with chole, Sichuan rice with manchurian, Hakka noodles, etc). Some of the dishes can be made without allium, including the salads as well as the biryani. We ordered the “healthy broccoli salad bowl” (750 NPR) and the “tomato avocado panini” (540 NPR) for dinner. It was a good break from the readily available, rich Indian/Nepali food we’ve been having for days now. Food was delicious & the quantity was alright, a bit on the smaller end. For my broccoli salad, I wish there were more broccoli in it. Food prices in my opinion is on the pricier side (comparing it to other local veg food). Staff are kind and helpful.

Friendly staff, owner is very kind, prices are just a little bit higher, but reasonable at the same time, i tried the Hummus Falafel Salad and it was really good. Soy milk Cappuccino was great too, they always have soothing authentic music in the background, which gives a nice atmosphere.

As a vegan who regularly passes through Kathmandu 'Always Happy' is a must visit! ...wonderful food and run by a lovely couple. For me, it is probably more of a lunch place or somewhere to get a quick bite to eat in the evening. The food is very healthy, with an international flavour (burgers, wraps, sandwiches and salads) and the juices are great too. I can't recommend it enough!

Highly recommend!! I had a fresh salad for the first time in a while and the smoothie bowls are delicious as well. Heard the ice cream and brownie are amazing too, will have to come back and try. Sad I didn’t discover it before. It’s all vegan

So happy we found this place during our stay in Kathmandu. Healthy delicious food which is made by wonderful attentive staff who put a lot of care into their meals. Highly recommended if you are looking for a healthy lunch on the go in the city or a dinner to eat in the comfort of your hotel room. Their delivery service is excellent. Looking forward to our next trip to eat more of this amazing food! Do give these guys a visit if you are near Thamel.

Always Happy Food Co. is a gem of a place on the ground floor of the JP building. Easy to find because of the Buddhist Prayer Flags outside. The food was hygenically prepared, extremely tasty, and customisable. Most importantly though, it was delivered with a smile :)
