Very small nice little place. Annakoot is the lady that cooks the food. She is very friendly and welcoming. Food is so tasty. I ordered several things and the prices are very budget friendly. Very happy to find a vegan local place like this.

Incredibly tasty, huge menu, very accommodating to dietary restrictions, very comfortable and clean seating and excellent presentation of food. Great Indian and Nepali items, we didn't think to take a picture until the plates were empty! Food was made fresh per order!

I love this cozy place in Thamel, away from the rush. Do try the Tandoori MoMo, Afghani Momo, the paneer parathas. The food is out of this world, make with lots of love and devotion..all without Onion Garlic, still tastes amazing!!! If you are a Vegetarian or Vegan, you don't want to miss this place.

Perfect for vegans who refrain from consuming onion and garlic, that being said perfect for anyone who enjoys the flavourful dish. Puri Bhaji was perfect, bhaji was bursting with flavor. Achieving that without the use of garlic and onion is admirable. Very soft-spoken and polite servers and cook. Price is on the higher spectrum.

Super tasty Vegan Indian food in Thamel. This is a vegetarian vegan mix restaurant with Vegan options clearly marked. I ordered Tofu chilli as a starter, and then ordered Tofu kofta curry and roti. The tofu kofta curry was out of the world tasty. The gravy was rich and creamy, and the kofta quite awesome. On the side I drank a coconut milk banana shake - which was alright. Overall a good experience, and anyone looking to eat Indian Vegan food - these folks have wide range of options.

After reading such good reviews about annakoot, I was curious if the place could live up to them. First of all, the table spaces are in a small back room, which could not fit large groups above roughly 18-20 people I would say. The restaurant is self service. When it comes to taste, the food I ordered was outstanding. Authentic and delicious. It was not very busy when I went. Despite the dishes being freshly prepared, I did not have to wait for too long for my food.

We decided to try out this place yesterday because of all the positive reviews before - and we can truly say they were all right. Despite there‘s not much space, the food is simply delicious. We have ordered several things and every single one was great. One more thing to highlight are the lovely people who run this place and put all their heart into it. Totally recommend to anybody in Kathmandu!

It is hard to find. The location o google maps is incorrect (I’ve tried to update so hopefully better now. It is down a small door on the street and up some stairs. It was okay but considering the food was similar vibe to the street food it was more expensive. The portions were very large which was a bonus though the pictures off the food were quite unclear so we over ordered. For a vegan it was great to have seitan and tofu available. Took quite a long time to receive the food.

We love everything that we ordered at Annakoot. Everything was perfectly delicious. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and great atmosphere too! The only thing is that the signage on the wall is so small that it was a bit challenging to find this restaurant.

A great pure vegetarian restaurant to go to if you are visiting Kathmandu. A few things I liked: 1. Food is clean, healthy and well served. 2. Nice hare Krishna music in background. 3. Friendly and helpful service 4. No frills restaurant with an iscon theme. Tip: the Google maps location for it is incorrect, you have to go up some stairs in a small corridor to get to the shop.

Delicious food prepared by devotees. You can taste the Love! Everything we've tried has been excellent. There's so many options for restaurants in Kathmandu, but it's hard not to just keep returning here. Can't recommend this place enough.

Best veg momo and chowmein without onion and garlic.I had ever tasted in the world. Small veg and vegan restaurant need to support everyone because being a vegetarian it's difficult to find such a heaven in earth. I am grateful to them and their team for their hard work for serving. I pray for God they serve like this forever and ever. The owner Vasudev was so friendly.

This is an amazing spot!! Went here with my parents and the food is incredible! The owner is very nice and comforting and with awesome vegetarian food it's just cherry on top. Got steamed momos and mix vegetable curry, both turned out to be awesome! So far the best place I have eaten in Kathmandu. Highly recommended!

SUCH FRIENDLY PEOPLE! Great food. You can even do a cooking class, which I loved! We came here multiple times to try many different items of the menu and absolutely nothing disappointed. They've only been open a year and are already getting quite the audience, but we never waited more than 5 minutes. I would go back in a heartbeat on my next trip to KTM!

Best food ever! This restaurant is a hidden gem, the food is very tasty and they have a lot of options, vegetarian and vegan. If you don’t find it just look up, the restaurant is at the second floor of the building and you may not see the sign. I had some veg balls with tomato and cashew nuts and they were simply amazing!

Absolutely amazing food with the loveliest people working there!! Do not miss out! It is a tad hard to find, so just use the photos I uploaded: look directly across the street from the “Air Link Freight” sign, and you will see a tiny sign for Annakoot! Highly recommend their pickled veggies and tandoori momos!

Very good food. Had less than 10 items on the buffet but all of the items were so fresh and well made. Definitely try their roti on the buffet. So far the best food in Nepal and that too without breaking your bank…

Vegan, vegetarian and Jain folks look no further. This is the place to eat when you are in Kathmandu. We walked into this nondescript restaurant (on 2nd floor with staircase entrance on street level) and were a little sceptical. Service was good, the staff spoke English and let us know that they are 100% vegetarian & do not cook with onions/garlic. That’s always a plus point for me! We ordered the chole bhatura, veg chowmein and a honey lemon drink. Food dishes were delicious. The bhatura is not the typical one, it has a little hint of sweetness but it is cooked fresh and delicious!!! The chole is good too. The veg chowmein is very flavourful and in the right quantity (not small). The drink was alright, felt like the lemon may have been a syrup. Total bill was 810 NPR. To conclude, we were happy, tummy satisfied and will be back again!

I ate here when it was at its old location in Thamel and it has since moved. Thanks to the other reviewers finding it was a breeze, so be sure to check the reviews out if you’re struggling to find it. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. The palak tofu and the tofu kofta are my favourites. Definitely worth a try even if the pricing is slightly higher than I would expect.

Amazing Vegan and gluten free place to eat!! We even did the cooking class and learned how to make the tofu masala. We met the owners and they are really exceptional. If you are in Kathmandu definitely stop buy for some tasty Indian food!
