This place is kind of a local stbuck in Nepal. You can find this cafe in many places. Modern cafe for youth, cool, and working people. Of course i tried this place. This one is located inside One Durbar mall. I loved the atmostphere, the guests were all wore nice suits and very cool from local and also tourists. The coffee was great, the staff are nice. The price was affordable. They use Himalayan Java organic local coffee. I come from Java island. Hehe.. feel close..

This cafe gives you a very good view of the Royal Palace as you are having your meal. Their menu consists of good coffee choices, as well as meals. I had a cesar salad with lemon mint drink, and both were fine. The service could improve since there was relatively a long time between my salad and my drink.

Another chain of the brand, bang on the best locay! You can see the kings palace and sip into the nostalgic cuppa coffee. Our family came here for outing and we tried mocha madness( frankly i liked it more at the jawalakhel branch) chocolate latte with cake- brownica and grilled veg bouguette. The crowd kept pouring and for sure a visit point.

Its rooftop location at Durbar Mall mall makes it a nice venue with fascinating view of Narayanhiti palace. Also its reliable place to spend some moments with friends and family in he heart of Kathmandu. The service is well managed and seats are finely arranged. The drinks and food items they serve are tasteful and hygienic. Among the coffee items, Iced Mocha was my favorite. Price are justifiable to their service at this prime venue but may not feel cost effective for normal Nepalese citizen. One can have occasional visit. It can be a center of attraction for guests visiting Nepal. Smoking is not allowed. Pets are also not allowed.

One of the exotic cafeteria in Kathmandu, located in most probably the most expensive real state in Kathmandu, with an astonishing view overlooking the Royal Natayanhiti Palace. Definitely a high end place to have a meeting, though expensive the ambience and interior is outstanding. The exterior as seen from the all glass pane across its wall is what attracts every one here. Be here once if you want to get the best of Kathmandu.

This java is usually crowded during the day-time. But when I went there in the morning the place was almost empty with good view and calm vibes. Just as every java, the staffs were very humble, polite and professional. They made some special considerations for the breakfast set which I am thankful for. The food was good. I specially loved the sausages and the waffles there. The hygiene is on point. Also you get a very nice view of the palace from here. I would agree on the part that the place is over-priced according to the portion of the food. Rest I had a good time. In the mornings you can enjoy reading books and working with amazing view

Great atmosphere, and the interior is an industry standard for other restaurants. It's also an excellent vantage point for seeing the royal durbar palace. Ideal for dates and hangouts. While not the best place to go for a peaceful day because it’s mostly packed cause it’s so popular :v

Food is great. They have a lot of healthy choice. The taste was spot on. The ambience and the vibe is unmatchable. The view of the royal Palace along with the food is an amazing combo. The staffs are friendly and helpful with the menu. The music was a bit loud, which might not be suitable for all. For parking, 🏍️🚗 there is enough undeground space behind the mall towards the thamel road on the left. Highly recommended 🙏💯

The view from this place is amazing. The crowd and the traffic of Durbar Marg can be viewed from this place. You can also see the beautiful view of the royal palace. The food and the service is good. However, it is crowded almost everytime. The place is comfortable and you can even work here. Of all the outlets, this place is better.

Himalayan Java never disappoints with its coffee which is what it's known for but this place is special, for the spectacular view of the Narayanhiti Royal Palace and the greenery there. You find this place mostly crowded and its really difficult to get a space from where you can get the great view even if you find space. They're uniform with their service and the staffs treat you really well. Some flies around us took a star away, please take care of it Java!

This is one of the best Himalayan Java franchise I've been too. It's spacious and provides a spectacular view of the Royal Palace. However, because of the the open space, it becomes very noisy wheb there are a lot of people. The food and coffee is good. The support staff reason that they don't serve normal water because of COVID, but the drinks they served was all in open cups, which is kinda weird. You should definitely visit once.

One of the best coffee in Kathmandu with best view at Durbar Marg. Himalayan Java coffee for its distinct taste and exceptional quality.

They’ve got a decent selection of coffee and food menu, its little overpriced compared to other Nepalese coffeehouses. Good environment with the Royal palace view. However their chocolate croissant and other baked items has a biscotti texture, which I think for the price, needs to be improved.

Just looking like a wow Bird view from that place and landscape view from that place..... Cooool. Talking about ambience ,HJ never falls behind on these things. The place itself is photogenic. A wide range of Coffee drinks ,Coffee Alternatives(mojito, shakes, tea) are available. Been serving breakfast (Carbonara, Bolognese,Bread Omelette etc) Pizza, better than other pizza houses. Service, relatively slower than other HJ because of very high customer load there.

Delightful coffee shop on the top floor of a mall overlooking the former royal palace, now a museum. Service was very good, some English spoken, cash and credit card payments accepted. Menu features lots of options, both local and more Western. Lots of pizza options, burgers, pasta, breakfast items. Coffees and tea as well as juices and sodas. Very comfortable seating with large windows providing an expansive view towards the museum and the hills to the north of the city. Earl Grey Tea was nothing fancy but it hit the spot. I tried their focaccia bread and it was definitely tasty. I particularly enjoyed the garlic instead of the pesto option. Freshly crushed garlic lightly spread over the top of the bread after toasting.

This coffee was right up there with that of the west. I loved the cappucino and the carrot cake. If you miss your Starbucks come here. Nice views of the palace and very good service.

Stopped by Himalayan Java last month for coffee with a view. Stepping onto the pace, I was stunned by the sprawling city panorama. Enjoyed a perfectly pulled espresso while taking it all in. Ambiance is upbeat and staff are friendly. Coffee selection can't be beat - expertly roasted and prepared. Light snacks hit the spot too. If you're looking to elevate your caffeine fix, this rooftop spot is unbeatable. Himalayan Java delivers exceptional coffee and experiences with every sip. Definitely recommend for quality joe and picture-perfect perspectives of Durbarmarg. See you again!

Not just their roof top location but their food is also top notch. I am not a coffee person, but java is my favorite place for their food options and healthy drinks. I am a big fan of their breakfast platter. A place to enjoy the durbar feels from the top and their delicious food.

This is without a doubt the Himalayan Java I've been to. The space is just huge and very modern and the menu is nice. Love it!

Probably the best coffee shop in Nepal concerning the aesthetics, quietness and views. The food and drinks are great the only downside is the price as it’s around double for comparable cafes in the food department and 50% more for beverages. We came here multiple time for dinner and breakfast and was not disappointed as the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Great view of Narayanhiti from the top and pretty colorful ambience. Good selection of coffees. The combo of waffle chicken sandwich was below average. The food is overpriced and if you want an additional something to order later on, to get the server's attention is going to be quite a competition due to the huge space. It can get quite noisy in the closed space so not recommended if you need to get some work done quietly.

Himalayan Java is undoubtedly the best place for coffee but this outlet in 1D serves everything as it not only designed for the coffee. Location is great, you get to have panoramic view of Narayanhiti Durbar which is the main attraction of this place but parking is not available on the building and I hope Balen resolves this issue. I mostly go there for fresh filter coffee, especially V60 and Aeropress, they serve these coffee with ridiculously amazing taste. Servers and Barista in HImalayan Java at Durbar Mall are so friendly and they even demonstrated me the procedure of making fresh coffee. Interior with different designs of sofa, couches, bench and tables are really amazing, you can have cozy, comfy and elegant vibe inside one establishment. P.S. their fresh coffee is overpriced.

Slightly over-hyped because of the view (though to be fair, the view is lovely). If you don't care for the view, there are better and less busy Himalayan Java locations elsewhere.

Great place for a cup of coffee and some quick bites. The cafe also offers a beautiful view of the Royal Palace - Narayanhiti Museum. Good ambience with some great tunes being played on the background.

Nice place. Was packed on Saturday evening. The servers managed to get us seats even though it was packed. The pizza was thin and nice. (Should have ordered two!) Fresh orange juice and milk shake were also good. We were served on time too, despite the crowd. Friendly staff. Nice view of the Narayanhiti museum (palace).
