Not far from the hussel of kathmandu city, this place is very peaceful, scenic and is well equipped with the essentials. Water and electricity supply are available. Public toilets are available but the condition is not hygenic. On religious background this place is located at periphery of neel barahi temple. There is a bit of monkey problem so please do carry food for furry friends as well. All in all very good place to visit with friends and family. Definately a good place for quick picnic within the valley.

Picnic Ground on the northern side of Bode near nilbarahi temple. the temple and picnic area is very popular for family picnic and gathering. The cost for the renting space lies between Rs 2000 to Rs 5000. Has good open and clean space covered with pine trees. The only thing thats irritating is there are lots of monkeys in the area.

This place is picnic sport also we can show statue of god.. because here is temple... U can enjoy by taking pictures and show many monkeys..

Good place for refreshment and picnic, near from city.

A good picnic spot in Kathmandu. The spot is fairly peaceful and full of greenery. But, the main picnic spot is not so spacious, so can be a problem if multiple picnic groups occupy the spot on the same day. The other real problem is the place can be really dusty when the kids start playing and people start walking around or dancing. This can make your experience frustrating while eating. And, beware of the monkeys. They are expert thiefs, they will find a million ways to steal food from your dish! A short one-hour hike to the Changu Narayan Temple from here can be really exciting and adventurous.
