Amazing local restaurant (not so) out of the touristic route, but still a walking distance from Thamell. Service and food are high quality in a fair price. Also wide variety of choices that you don't see everywhere.

I have been in kathmandu for more than a month now, and me and my mates do eat in Himalchuli almost everyday. All the plates I tried untill this moment (almost every the chicken plates, (cheese) pakodas, khana set (warning spicy), chowmein and specially the veg. momos, the 'chicken fried boneless' and the french fries) are awesome. The price depends on the plate, but still none of them are too expensive. Oh, and make sure you ask them clearly not to put daneeya (coriander) in your plate if you dont like it, nepalese use it for a lot of plates and it might ruin yours. Enjoy.

The Lama (monks) who has been exploring the own culture,tradition,language and their own vibes around the kakani.

An organic Himalayan bhedako masu is their speciality. I went there with my family and as expected the organic meals were served. Foods were fresh and very delicious. Please do pre-order a little early for khana set as the Cooks starts to cook the foods only after the order. Their purpose is to serve fresh meals to the clients. Also this cafe is very chill and has enough space for hanging out with friends. Staffs were very helpful. They also have several varieties of momos. I will definitely go back there 💫💫💫
