The ViaVia Boutique hotel really is the perfect place to stay when visiting Kathmandu/Nepal. Very centrally located in the heart of Kathmandu, it also lies in a quiet neighbourhood so you can enjoy a good night's rest. The breakfast offered is diverse, fresh and prepared with care. Drinks available at the nicely decorated Belgian bar are of a wide range and very affordable. Rooms are very clean, brand new and bigger than the average hotel room. All the services you require are present (airconditiong, rain shower, fresh towels,..). Last but not least, the hotel is run by a very friendly and multilingual family that offers a personalised service as well as advice about things to do in the area. I will certainly not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Nepal in the future!

This hotel is a peaceful, squeaky clean little slice of heaven in an otherwise very hectic and noisy city. The very friendly owners managed to build their hotel to incredibly high standards for Nepal and there is a nice and warm personal touch to it. All staff are very friendly and professional and will get out of their way to assist, e.g. advising to get the InDrive app to book taxis from my mobile phone without the hassle of constantly haggling with drivers who want to charge triple because I am a white nose 😂. It’s very conveniently located close to the airport and Bodhanath stupa, which is a very nice area, but it’s a bit of a drive to the Thamel tourist hub in the city centre (400-500 rupees each way). The bar is well stocked with a nice selection of local and Belgian beers and there is a happy hour 2 cocktails for the price of one from 5-6pm. Breakfast is both yummy and plenty. There’s also a wide variety of menu items to pick from for lunch and dinner - everything we tried was healthy, fresh and tasteful. Overall a great place - can’t recommend it more highly!

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel and had an amazing experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights was the terrace that offered a stunning view, making my stay even more enjoyable. The meals served were absolutely delicious; each dish was a culinary delight. Moreover, the rain shower in the bathroom was incredibly refreshing and added to the overall luxury of the stay. I must also commend the friendly and helpful staff, whose warmth and attentiveness enhanced my experience. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful and memorable stay.

For those who want the short version: the room and amenities were as good or better than a standard western hotel. It was well worth the price I paid and I would recommend ViaVia to anyone looking for something a little nicer and more professionally managed. Also, it's pretty close to Boudha Stupa. The details: I stayed at ViaVia for six nights. It is a pleasant little hotel that mainly hosts foreign visitors to Kathmandu. The room I stayed in was comfortable, bathroom/shower facilities were great. The property was well kept with a small courtyard, roof terrace, and an outdoor seating area near the main door. The hotel is quite well staffed with helpful people who all spoke English. The hotel has a small dining area with a bar. It is open most of the time. There you can get a few dishes and save yourself some time before/after your day. A basic breakfast was provided with the room fee, which was also very convenient. I spoke with the owners of the hotel many times while I was there, so you will be well looked-after. I noticed they arrange transportation, treks, guides, etc. for guests as well.

Excellent starting point to explore Kathmandu! The hotel is within walking distance from the Boudha Stupa and has some nice restaurants and bars in the direct area. Room and bathroom are modern and equipped with all necessities. The rooftop terrace is a nice extra! Would definitely recommend staying here.

One of the few hotels in Nepal with a great hot shower. Beautifull and bright place with a lot of light. I also really liked the breakfast and the home made dal bath. Good location, not to far from the airport and close to a supermarket and the Budnath stupa.

Great hotel!!! Had an awesome stay at this hotel. Just newly build. Rooms were very clean and the bathroom was more luxurious than you would expect from a Kathmandu hotel. Would recomend to any kind of Traveler.
