We had the Mexican pizza and it was very good. The toppings and especially the crust were great. The mojito was good with a lot of mint - a little too sweet though. Loved the ambience. Btw, the name changed to Vinoliva Restaurant & Bar.

I ordered the vegetable curry and garlic naan. The naan was good but not remarkable, and the vegetable curry was outstanding. The flavors were intense and deliciously hot. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and multi-leveled. My meal and my wife's together cost about $25 US, which is probably considered expensive in the area but obviously a very good deal for such a nice restaurant given Western city standards. Two suggested improvements for the owners: work on the men's restroom. Just a little bit, in terms of cleanliness and amenities. Also, the music that was playing in the dining area was a good selection, but too loud for a dining experience. The volume was more suitable for a raucous bar. The staff were all very friendly and the meal was served quickly. I highly recommend this place.

A very nice quiet place in the outskirts of Kathmandu. My girlfriend and I used this place as a stay before we had to go to the airport. We thought it would take long to get to the airport but the home stay is close to the main road, so it only took about 30/40 minutes by taxi outside rush hour. The home is really peaceful and you really get a taste of the local live when having a cup of tea with the family and eating home made dinner. There are a few temples to visit in the neighborhood but it is at a bit of a distance of all touristic stuff. Best of all: it's outside of the pollution area so the air is clean.

There are over 1000 cafe and restaurant in kathmandu but among them Fresh Elements Restaurant is perfect venue for dinning and drinking. It has large food selection options including Continental, Indian, Chinese and Nepali. I have tried almost all dishes there but Pork Chop, Pizza and pasta are superbly served. Classic cocktails, Draught beer and wines available in its bar commonly known as The Biggest Bar.

Stayed here with a friend for two weeks - it was wonderful. Friendly and attentive hosts, delicious homemade food, quiet area. There are places to walk. Clean air compared to the rest of Kathmandu. Excellent wifi, also works even if there is no electricity. I recommend if you want to live in Kathmandu in silence, beauty and comfort. But be prepared to wait for a taxi for 20 minutes if you are going to Thamel;) P.S. I don't know why but photos here appears to be misleading - there are no pool or bar. It's cozy and friendly homestay.

Refused service to local Nepali people. Thanks for the discrimination. Edit reply: Atleast have some decency to say you don't want to offer services to local citizens. You downright ignored all messages sent to you after you found out I was Nepali. Bravo ๐Ÿ‘.

Tried it out cause I really liked the Pokhara branch. The pesto chicken sandwich was really good but the chicken salad was disappointing. Very dry and very few strips of chicken.they really skimped on the dressing. And 150 (120++) for a bottle of water that we didn't even ask for was a bit too much. The space is nice though.

Mums homestay is situated well away from the bustle of Thamel, and thus the air is a bit cleaner out this way. It's still only a 15 minute bike ride into the centre, costing $1.50 maximum. Locally there are lots of cheap bakeries and eateries and feels very safe. I've returned here twice, I love it so much, and expect to be back again after a visit to Pokhara. The food is excellent, and Mira will go out of her way to look after you (I got a lovely birthday cake on my birthday!) Excellent shower and wi-fi too. They've looked after my bag after I've gone trekking no problem too. Thank you Mira and Sudarshan!!! Note some of the photos on Google don't relate to this homestay at all - there's definitely no swimming pool!

Very good food. Sometimes it is a little less than other places (for ex: like the humus and the pitta bread) but, in general the food is very well cooked and served and harmonious in palate ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™. They have an excellent apple tart ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ‘Œ

We loved our stay at Mums Homestay! It felt like a home away from home. Mira is an amazing chef and she even showed us how to make our favorite nepali dishes. Sudarshan organized the perfect trekking and a private transport for us. Thank you for the great time ๐Ÿ™

Similar to the Fresh elements restaurant in pokhara, the restaurant in Kathmandu is absolutely amazing. We have visited on several occasions and found the service to be very good. They have excellent food options on menu, the pork chops are the best. They do have very good pizzas and salads too. There are plenty of vegetarian options to choose from aswell, in a variety of styles from continental to Nepali and from middle Eastern to Chinese. They have a large bar and serve cocktails here. Overall a very good experience.

Nice, calm place. The host are amazing and helpful. Itโ€™s in outer area in a residential colony, but worth it for relaxing and spending time in peace like environment of home. Sunrise from rooftop is mesmerising. Temperature is around 2 degrees less compared to the city.

Mums home is beautiful. She offers great food, masala tea refills, and a clean room. It is, however, pretty far from the city. Taxi drivers charge 400-600 one way to the city. It is best to trek to Ringu road and get one from there. Also, donโ€™t book busses through them and Baba Adventures. They charged us double the rate for a bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Just go to the bus station directly. Should be 700rupees

STAY HERE!!! The place is spotless clean, quiet and surrounded by green mountains ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ but on top of that this family will make you feel you are 100% super welcome and part of their family. Mira cooks amazing meals with loads of love and care, you probably will not want to go to restaurants!! It's a 10 minute taxi ride to Thamel and you get the benefit of cleanliness and quietness and see local life ๐Ÿ‘โ›ฐ๏ธ

We stayed for 7 days.. Everything exceptionally perfect. Mira & Sudarshan are the best proprietors I have ever met in my Travel History. They were so welcoming, friendly, adorable couple. We guaranteed that Mira is the best cook in Nepal ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ. Sudarshan's special rum is the best remedy for a tired day. You guys definietly try those. Lucky... OMG such a cute and adorable dog.. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Rooms, washrooms everything so tidy. Worth more than the value u pay. And also Krithika cute little girl and her younger brother Chopsticks boy we will miss u all... ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜” Those children made our stay during Nepal. This is the best place u must stay if u visit Nepal. They arranged everything. We have travelled so many countries and I recommend Nepal is the second best hospitality country after Sri Lanka. We love Mira & Sudarshan a lot... Thank u so much guys... We can't thank u enough for all ur gracious effort...! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Great place to spend time with your friends! I did not like the chicken sekuwa pizza though. I think it is not a good idea of fusing Nepali and Italian dish with that taste. Other than that great drinks and food, kinda expensive but gives you great feeling of the portion and taste.

I often go to Fresh Elements Restaurant in Pokhara my home town. This time during my travel in Kathmandu i found same brand in Lazimpat and entered there . The ambiance itself is so inviting and cozy. I had chicken kebap as starter and seafood spaghetti as main course and double chocolate with ice cream as desert! Their spaghetti is the best dish i ever had.

Fresh elements at Kathmandu, Uttardhoka serves best salad with varieties of options, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Cappuccino also tastes better. Prawn Tomyum tastes good but that much authentic as it have to be. I think herb part is missing over there otherwise no complain on taste. The platter was also good with hummus, cheese, bread, and salad combo. Talking about ambience, you have plenty of option to seat wherever you want; indoor or outdoor. I would prefer outdoor at rooftop with lots of scenery and greens. Pricewise it is little expensive but the food deserves that price. Can stay with the peaceful indoor and outdoor area with good ambiance and doctoratives. They also serve Chinese. I will definitely visit Chinese on my second visit. Thank you, Fresh Elements Kathmandu for making my day.
