Phuket is not just about the seafood but celebrating local produce which unfortunately is hardly referenced when people think about food. Well you can find local food here like sataw (petai) and Tom som (sour soup).

We have come here many times over the years and the food is always good. The prices have risen and the atmosphere seemed a little strange this time. There is an upstairs, so if you walk in and it appears full, then just keep waking through and locate the stairs. The 2nd floor may not have anyone up there, but they have a service button next to the restroom to call a server. The view of the neighborhood is also much better on the second floor.

This has to be one of the locals' favourites! Staff are friendly and the service is spectacular. The food was immensely delicious and the prawns were fresh! The chef, Loom, even came to ask how the food was for us which we did not expect. The plating of the food was top-notch as well which makes the dining experience more enjoyable and surprising :) homely ambience, must try their signature coffee and tea. Side note, I overestimated my tolerance for spicy food and so did not finish my portion of curry. Those with great spice tolerance must try this!

While English wasn't a spoken language here, we muddled through with Google Translate and appreciated how much kindness and patience was given to us by the staff. It was clear there was a language barrier, but we worked through it and we're glad we did. The sesame chicken rice was a gentle dish on our bellies and the Pad Thai was a savory meal of warmth. The restaurant is small and quaint with cute chalk boards and lots of greenery outside. We're glad we went.
