Did not love the trek down a huge amount of stairs to get there- NOT suitable for people that cannot manage stairs. Also difficult to manage young children in the surrounding. Also be sure to ensure your return transport, we found it very difficult to negotiate our exit, with hotel staff less than helpful orwilling to assist.

1st visit. I tried the Abundant Life burger and it was just awesome! Nicely cooked, double juicy Australian patty, bacon and a fried egg. Ordered and served very quickly. I really enjoyed it. Service is good and the place has character. The only thing I would change is the ridiculously small portion of fries. Fries are inexpensive and it makes a difference when they are generously served. I will come back.

We really enjoyed our time at La Gritta. It was a birthday celebration and they made an effort to acknowledge and offer a very tasty, rich, chocolate slice of heaven. The view of Patong bay is untouchable. As it is an Italian restaurant, I would suggest sticking with the “Italian” items on the menu. The chef touched our table....which is a good sign. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. A few trainees on the floor, which is always forward thinking evidence of preparation. The hotel and restaurant really have a challenging time right now. I am sure their primary customers have always been Westerners, but are now mostly domestic tourists...Thai. I can imagine preparing all staff for the disparity in customer demands. The F&B Manager is on point. He is professional, patient, and prepared. My hat goes off to him. I was once in his shoes....they hired the right man for this position. He performed an excellent service recovery and made it look easy. Good luck in the coming year and hope you much success!!

The view and location is excellent and the food was also excellent. The service level was just brilliant. There was a kids menu and the staff were very accommodating to help out with food for the kids and making sure they were entertained and fed. A great lunch out for the family.

Personally, I'd be mindful of the high prices when visiting this place, but all would have been perfect if the quality of the food could be a little more fine-tuned to match their said premium prices. Unlike the other salmon this one was actually seasoned to a flavor as it should be. My carbonara was 5 star google rating one, but because the rest was not, I rated all as 4. The wrap was good, but again not something you want to come back for. Service very polite and helpful. Keeps the standard a place at such hotel should provide. Definitely better option for lunch. Price wise, pretty much the same, but once you consider the service and quality of food, there is clear recommendation falling here if you staying at Amari. Would I come here from the outside? I don’t know. For pasta yes…

We did not stay at the resort - and the restaurant was a little difficult to find but that did not affect the overall experience. You don't. Not convinced with the burger sauce that's added for you, sauces are the customers perogative. Bun wasn't quite up to the job. The fries seemed like a bit of an afterthought, why so few? The competition for gourmet burgers is intense in Phuket, hence the 3 stars.

We are an interracial couple in our early twenties and visited this restaurant purely because it was in close proximity to our hotel and open late. The service was okay we found every-time we interacted with staff they were very stand offish and never smiled back .In the middle of our meal the bill was given to us when we hadn’t requested it , on another table were a group of French ladies who didn’t get their bill given to them whilst still eating so we purposely ate slower. The food was nice , we weren’t thanked for our custom - we paid the bill , we left and we will not be returning .

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR BETTER EXPERIENCE!! First & last time here, because the food & services are just too lousy. Besides taking order & taking money, all went wrong. Even a small food street stall is 100 times better. We went with a table reservation at 7:30pm. The food didn't start coming in at around 9:30pm. 2 hours waiting with no explanation until we have to chase them. And in-between they only served food to the ones who came late & ordered last. They cleared do not have a system on how to service customers. Food orders are all wrong. Cold steaks & stinky seafood. Even a simple top-up of plain water needs 45mins-1hr. It's very very disappointing. Not sure how much money the company spent to get such high rating because we're definitely not the only ones unhappy that night.

We enjoyed our dinner at La Gritta. Good location. Best service ever!!! Very nice, kind, polite, lovely staff. Romantic atmosphere. Food=Big portion. Pizza was a bit dry, I wish there was more cheese on the pizza. Spaghetti Vongole was yummy. Tiramisu was very very delicious. Overall I would love to come back again.

Very attentive service! Food was excellent. You do get what you paid for here. My fist visit to the restaurant and was impressed. Expect to pay over $100 for dinner and wine for 2. Will be back!

My first experience to an authentic Italian restaurant, and it was beautiful. Firstly the ambience was like out of a movie.. the sound of the waves, starry night, candle lit table and my dear husband. It was a perfect date night for us. Now the food and the drinks- everything starting from the complimentary breads with olive oil, Ricotta pasta (veg) and Pizza were very delicious. They also have very elaborate options for cocktails which are also a must try. And to top it all, their waiters were really polite and humble, as they explained the concept of olive oil and breads in the begging and throughout. Overall it was an evening to remember for the two of us.

Food was delicious. We had starters and mains and cocktails. All so delicious. The view was amazing and setting was lovely. Very posh restaurant. Staff were so friendly and attentive and always looked after us.

Our dinner at La Gritta was amazing. Our servers, Nut and Minimum, were absolutely attentive to our needs and requests. The food was great. We had the four course set meal, which was filling and satisfying. I thought that the steak would be more marbled but nevertheless, the flavor was great for that kind of cut. Wine list was adequate and the desserts were not too sweet for me. All in all, a great experience. The price tag is kinda steep so it might not be a casual dinner kinda place.

Located within the Amari Resort Phuket, La Gritta has perhaps one of the best spot on Patong beach to have a fabulous dinner while watching the sunset. An upscale authentic Italian restaurant, La Gritta really delivers - quality of food, wine, ambience and service. Everything is just perfect! And surprisingly, their prices are really reasonable! I really enjoyed the "Trattoria Lombardia" menu,which for me, is something out of the ordinary italian dishes I would usually get at any Italian restaurant =) If you are looking for a good romantic dinner and not really burn a big hole in you pocket, La Gritta is the place for you =) Both indoor (aircon) and outdoor seatings are avaliable.

We came out here from patong for the view and the vibes. The restaurant itself is great, excellent service, great quiet and romantic vibes. The bar upstairs is fantastic for private romantic moments. Italian music and quiet (for the time we were there, late evening). We had the bruschetta to share, which was small but good. We also had the ravioli and the chicken dish (I forget the name). Ravioli looked small but I was sated and both dishes were good and balanced. We also ordered the tiramisu. I don’t have a sweet tooth but I thought it was nice. Overall I thought it was on the pricier side considering it was Thailand but the food was decent (for Italian food in Phuket) and we had a good time.

You’re paying for the view, not for the food. Food was definitely not of equivalent value of its price. Sauce is overly salty and not impressive. Pasta on the other hand was not al Dante. Had to pay for water, very expensive.

Bread was not so good here (some could break teeth), and it took a long time to be served (mains had already arrived by the time the bread came). The pizza was ok and the food was nice overall. Not bad for Italian food in Thailand but not the best Italian food you will ever have.
