I
stayed
in
Cape
Sienna
at
the
beginning
of
April
2022.
The
key
selling
point
of
this
hotel
is
the
Cape
Sienna
Rocks
Cafe
on
the
other
side
of
the
street
which
has
the
beautiful
infinity
pool
for
the
use
of
the
hotel
guests.
However,
the
hotel
itself,
although
well
maintained,
has
serious
issues
with
service
quality.
Most
of
the
staff
barely
notices
you.
I
arrived
at
the
reception
to
check
in
and
felt
pretty
much
ignored
for
the
first
10
minutes
or
so,
not
knowing
what
to
do
with
myself.
None
of
the
staff
says
hello
to
the
guests
during
their
stay
(which
is
very
different
from
the
previous
hotel
I
stayed
in
Phuket
where
everyone
was
super
friendly).
At
the
check
in,
I
waited
at
the
sofa
for
the
reception
staff
to
finish
up
the
formalities,
and
there
was
a
couple
sitting
next
to
me.
The
receptionist
came
over
and
decided
to
give
a
briefing
to
both
the
couple
and
myself
at
the
same
time,
to
make
things
faster.
I
felt
like
part
of
a
tour
group.
I
think
it
was
quite
unprofessional.
The
staff
at
the
hotel
restaurant
doesn't
know
they
should
clean
the
plates
from
the
main
dish
before
they
serve
the
dessert.
They
also
got
my
order
wrong.
And
they
are
not
very
attentive.
At
the
Vanilla
Sky
Bar,
I
ordered
beer
and
got
a
glass
with
a
lipstick
on
it.
Not
a
huge
deal
but
I
pointed
it
out
to
the
waitress,
only
heard:
"OK
I
change
for
you".
No
apologies.
The
worst
experience
I
had
was
on
the
first
day
at
the
infinity
pool
at
the
Rocks
Cafe.
I
arrived
at
9am
just
when
they
opened,
sat
down
by
the
pool,
put
the
sunscreen
on,
made
myself
comfortable,
only
to
be
told
5
minutes
later
by
the
staff
that
they
will
be
cutting
the
leaves
from
the
coconut
trees,
and
whether
I
would
be
able
to
move
back
to
the
main
pool
at
the
hotel
for
the
day.
This
situation
was
totally
mismanaged
by
the
staff.
If
they
know
that
a
company
is
coming
to
cut
the
coconut
trees
in
the
morning,
then
they
should
not
even
open
the
infinity
pool
and
they
should
cordon
the
area
off
to
avoid
guests
coming
in.
After
the
staff
asked
me
to
leave,
I
saw
several
other
hotel
guests
coming
in
there
for
another
half
an
hour,
even
after
they
started
cutting
the
trees.
Not
only
was
it
mismanaged,
but
also
a
safety
risk
to
the
guests.
Also,
the
infinity
pool
deck
is
swarmed
with
ants,
so
you
should
drink
your
shakes
fast.
And
the
staff
is
not
attentive.
Every
time
you
want
to
order
something,
you
need
to
go
up
the
stairs
and
into
the
restaurant
to
let
them
know,
only
then
they
will
come.
Hotel
room
design
-
overall
nice,
I
had
the
honeymoon
suite.
It
had
a
corner
sofa
and
a
table,
very
big
balcony
with
another
sofa
and
table,
plus
jacuzzi.
But
it
just
feels
like
ordinary
room
in
an
ordinary
hotel,
it
definitely
is
missing
the
resort
feel
I
was
hoping
for.
Also,
the
toilet
and
shower
chambers
feels
like
a
prison.
The
water
stays
in
the
shower
for
the
whole
day,
and
there
is
no
cold
water
in
the
sink
(only
hot
or
very
warm)
which
is
odd.
On
the
positive
note,
I
liked
the
gentleman
at
the
Vanilla
Sky
bar
-
he
was
very
friendly
and
chatting
customers
up.
Good
service
here.
The
hotel
is
5
minutes
walk
to
Kamala
beach.
The
road
itself
is
not
very
busy
so
you
can
definitely
make
your
way
down
the
hill
on
foot.
Just
watch
out
incoming
cars
from
time
to
time.
And
while
the
lunch/dinner
menu
in
the
hotel
is
not
extensive,
I
thoroughly
enjoyed
the
buffet
breakfast.
Very
good
quality
and
selection.
With
5
minutes
walk
to
Kamala
beach,
you
can
easily
reach
other
restaurants
in
the
area
fast.
There
is
also
7-11
5
minutes
walk
away
from
the
hotel
towards
the
beach,
so
you
can
buy
things
on
the
way
back
easily.
Despite
the
negatives,
I
enjoyed
my
stay
much
more
than
I
expected
after
the
experience
from
the
first
24
hours,
and
I
had
a
very
relaxing
time
for
most
of
the
4
nights
I
spent
there.
Again,
this
was
mainly
attributed
to
the
infinity
pool
at
the
Rocks
Cafe,
which
is
absolutely
beautiful,
and
not
very
crowded.
If
not
for
the
hiccup
with
cutting
the
coconut
trees,
the
time
at
that
pool
would
have
been
perfect
for
me.
Overall
the
hotel
is
nice
but
not
as
nice
as
I
expected.
