A nice and unique experience. Shop on 1st floor for meats, seafood, vegetables and take it to restaurants 2nd floor they will cook it for you. Very fresh and well made dishes! So flavorful. I recommend the mantis shrimp.

WARNING, BE CAREFUL OF FOOD POISONING! Despite not being able to try the local foods without getting ill, it's a fascinating place to visit as a tourist. And although fermented crab will likely make you sick, I'm sure the herbs and spices are fine if you handle with care. I recommend the old town food tour which goes here.

Cheap seafood is the name of the game here. Skip the stalls outside and head in. Buy your live seafood at level 1 and get them cooked at one of the stalls upstairs (for a fee, of course). Pro tips: 1. Bargain hard when buying your live seafood, even go for a 50% cut from the initial price mentioned. 2. Watch diligently that they do not switch out the seafood you've picked for frozen or less fresh ones 3. Pick the right stall upstairs to cook your seafood - it could come in a mix of Thai, Chinese or Malay style of cooking dependent on the cook. They'll have a menu that you can refer to.

Excellent place to try local Thai food (the area outside the main complex). Main complex mainly sells Veggies, fruits and fish - mostly locals shop there. The food is great for seafood and meat lovers, very limited veg options - the coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice are particularly good.

Sadly due to Pandemic most vendors are missing. There are a few here and they need your support so u might still consider a visit. Have gone here many times in the past and a great market when things get more normal. We still found some delicious food this time but seafood vendors noticibly absent. The market is every night in case you're wondering.

Amazing experience! Fresh seafood galore, a cornucopia of fresh vegetables, meats, spices, herbs, noodles and more! Pick your ingredients and take them upstairs to be expertly prepared and cooked. Well worth a visit- don’t miss the giant live lobster and other seafood!

It’s practically a wet Market. But it has about 10-15 stalls of foodie outside the market in the evening. I love buying prawn fritters from of of the stall near the bazaar entrance. 50baht for 2 pieces. Fat mini shrimps perfectly cooked in the crispy batter. So good

It's a place purely for fresh veggies, fruits and sea food.. but mostly non functional...many shops are closed...most of the shops closes around 6PM. We reached around 6:30PM and found hardly any shop open. Experience was not that great...there are some eateries around to try some street food. If you want a good experience reach there afternoon..mostly cash only place....for that matter entire Phuket is cash only barring few exceptions. You can see how COVID has impacted local business all around.

Not the same as it once was…The prices are much higher and the price of cooking was a ripoff because only one kitchen cooks now unlike before when there was many kitchens… The prices of seafood is also not the same as before although now the place is less crowded and a bit cleaner… Update: I went to Rawai Seafood Market I got much better variety of seafood and the prices of both the seafood and the cooking was half…

Bathrooms are on the second floor and there’s a balcony with a view. If you want fresh vegetables and hungry for food this is a nice spot to go. Kinda touristy but the bathroom is free. I obviously only came here to use the bathroom. Got some spring rolls from the vendors on the outside. It’s right across the street from bangla boxing stadium. Hope this review was helpful! @ninjaxfang

Decent size night market with a variety of street food at reasonable price, e.g. blended mango B$40, coconut ice cream B$80. The outdoor seafood stalls can be rather annoying and aggressive to get you to eat at their stalls despite just passing by. Live seafood and fresh fruits are available in the market. You can buy the seafood at level 1 and go up to level 2 to get it cooked for a small fee need to buy coupons before buying from the food stalls. They will refund the extra coupons but need to do so before 9.20pm. Interesting place.

Amazing food stalls with a ton of options! Avoid the "restaurant" type where you have to sit and order and ho directly for the individual sellers on the right. Takoyaki is delicious and so are the fried eggs with sea food and the soup stand!! We loved pretty much everything we tried and everyone is so polite!

THIS IS A MUST!!! What an amazing experience! Literally from Sea to Plate and it was cooked amazing! We got tiger prawns, crab, oysters and clams. Cooked, delivered and got to beers. All for 2000Baht. That's $96 CDN.

If you want to play the game “Buy and eat you lobster” it’s for you. Be ready to bargain inside, not allow put doesn’t live seafood in you basket. After deal, up to second floor select one of yelling cook and after sometime and some money you can taste fresh fried lobster, crab or another fish. Recommended to sit with eyes on side stairs and make binds on “next lucky cook”

The market on the ground floor that sells seafood will mark up very high so you need to really bargain at least 50% off. But this place is not worth coming as there is only 1 place at level 2 which the restaurant is cooking the seafood. The cooking charges are expensive. Suggest go Rawai for seafood it is fresher and cheaper.

The nights come alive at Baan Zaan Night Market. It has a wide variety of local foods. Check out my photos! Mark the ones you like. Go, explore, and experience Patong. It’s a safe place. It’s clean. Trash cans are all around. The vendors are busy and don’t harass you. They love to serve you there masterpieces. The market is full of locals and foreigners. You’ll find many great deals! There is also a lot of clothing and accessory stalls there too. It’s a great place to eat and shop. Go and enjoy!

I visited during the rainy season. There was little foot traffic. This market has a nice selection of food. There was seafood, fruit, smoothies, and fried foods. Decent selection if you want a bite to eat but I wouldn't say it's worth coming to just for the food. However, if you just want a spot to hang out for a bit and shop for souvenirs, there's some shopping in the back. Prices were ok in the market. I didn't have to haggle and the shops still offered decent prices.

At night time people visit this market for fast local foods, refreshments and smoothies. But I am not sure what time it's closed. Usually we go there before 9 pm for food pickup.

Great place to visit. You can buy fresh produce like fruits, vegetables, meat, seafood, cooking spices, and fresh flowers. It is best to visit after 5 pm. They have different food vendors. You can take a table and have a taste of the different food they have to offer.

Nice place to buy fresh seafood or fruits. Prices are affordable if compare to in-street traders. On the second floor you can cook the seafood you bought, for money. Prices start from 30 baht per 100g of prawns ... so in total may be quite expensive if you buy&cook at one place

we grabbed a quick bite street food infront of the market. as soon as we walked in you are hit with the overpowering smell of seafood, it was quite bad. but we found some cheap fruits here mangosteen, red and yellow dragon fruit, lychee, longgan....Good fresh vegetables and seafood. 10mins wall from patong beach...can walk through bangala walking street, quite near.

Incredible fresh market on the first floor, you can shop for fruit, veg and seafood like a local. Do some bargaining but respect their work and pay a fair amount. Going up to the second floor you can get your food cooked by the many shops that will yell at you. I suggest you shop around because prices can vary a lot, but the cooking techniques are the same. Expect to pay around 1200/1500 per person if you get something like mine

Must-try while in Phuket - the fresh fish market on the first level, you can get some superb seafood (1500-2000 Thai baht range) and get it cooked on the second level!

Must see in this area. Once you are there you will get a variety of affordable and good quality food - sea food, crocodile or other meat, plenty of sweets, vegetable in many ways. Inside you can buy natural products: tropical fruit, oils, tea etc.

First floor. The salesman tried to sell us the fish for a price about 3 times more then it was in Big C. Then we bought another fish for about 350 baht for 2. Second floor. We really didn't expect that to cook our fishes on grill they would charge 600 baht. So final price was almost 1000 for 2 average-sized fishes. And they were badly cooked, not delicious at all. I think there're a lot of places where you can eat better for this money in Patong.

Local market (vegetables, fruits, seafood, fish, etc.) located in the building on the small square. At around 6pm in front of the building opens busy night market with focus on tourists. It is worth a visiting. Lots of stalls with a variety of food. There are also some seafood places with tables. I was there many times.

  • 4/5 Johnson K. 11 months ago on Google
Tl;dr: check it out, but get ready to be hard sold. It's the most well known seafood market in Phuket. The main market indoors consists of seafood sellers in the building downstairs and restaurants upstairs. What you do is buy seafood downstairs then head on upstairs and ask one of the restaurants to cook your freshly bought seafood for you. Get ready to be approached by vendors, claiming their seafood is the freshest and best. They'll tend to mark up their seafood quite a bit. Get ready to negotiate and walk away. Important: make sure you watch carefully that the vendors don't swap out your fish for others! As night falls, the night market comes alive. Have a walk through and check out the weird and wonderful street food on offer. Side of the building is less high pressure, while the front side again has people who can be quite in your face. A great experience overall, worth visiting and trying.

Here we were 2 times One time was in the morning and there was not so much to see only a small market with fresh vegetables, meat, fruit and seafood and some other stands with condiments etc And the second time we found out surprisingly that it is a night market at night outside the parking lot A part so small stands with ready food or meals. Another part more in front are a lot of seafood stand where they cook for you and you sit there to eat. But I don't like it every one is pushing you to come at theirs. It was a bit annoying At the other part we bought a lot of foods and back to hotel to eat

Good place to buy seafood here, I like to seafood stall opposite the drink kiosk. He gave a good discount for what we bought. I brought live seafood up stair at F2-8 where they cook for me (2 lobster, 2 giant prawn, 0.5 kg snail, all for 350 baht). Highly recommend this place. Durian 180-200 baht per a kg for Monthong. Accept cash only.

  • 2/5 Traveler 10 months ago on Google
It’s an ok night market. Don’t even try to order any seafood that located right on the street outside of the market. They will rip you off. Always cheat on everything I asked if the price comes with cooking they said yes but ended up charge me for the cooking fee. Local food and fruit were not bad.

If you know about seafood or want to know about it, this is a must visit place. You’ll find fresh varieties of fish, crabs, lobsters, shrimps, prawns and other seafoods. Very cheap and very fresh. You will also have a lot of street food along the market offering chicken, beef, pork, fish and other seafood at very low price.

This outdoor eating place starts after 5pm, many stalls selling seafood, food is fresh , you can get lots of seafood here especially Lobster which cost about 1000 baht plus minus Do take note that most of the stalls will switch your Lobster or Prawn to small one when they cook without you knowing, so just watch them during cooking It is quite unethical to do such a thing Personally I don’t quite like it the way these people conduct business We finally choose a stall whereby staff wear yellow shirt This stall give us actual items we bought and the food was delicious, price wise still ok being lobster at 1100 bath about 700 grams, plus 2 Prawns and 2 praying mantis - total price is 2200 Baht Basically the whole of Phuket is only for tourists and prices are quite expensive now.
