Do not waste your time going here… they charge foreigners 200 baht per person while all Thai people walk through when they’re actually meant to pay 40 baht as this is a National Park… Not sure where the money is going to because the beach is full of rubbish and oil spills literally EVERYWHERE. I got my feet and my flip-flops stained in oil. I get it, they charge because it’s a conservation area… but I did not see it being conserved AT ALL.!

The park is ok if you are staying nearby and have some time before a flight. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it. Its nice to relax in the shade but there is a lot of rubbish around. The entry fee is quite expensive for a foreigner considering its just a walk along the beach, as far as I could tell there aren't any walking trails or anything.

Great park with a nice beach and shady trees. In the afternoon the beach itself has no shade however. During low tide the water level is too low for swimming and the amount of coral makes it difficult to walk too far out. Foreigners is 100 per person. They don’t accept Thai drivers licenses as proof of residence.

Nothing special, I don't really understand why you have to pay and why is a national park if here they don't care about the cleaning and to recover the nets around. If you put a tax you have to take care about your parks. On the other side the water is beautiful and could be a nice walk if you are close to the airport.

Definitely worth taking a trip to Sirinat National park if you’re in Phuket. It’s free to visit and free to park - we took our rental scooter right down to the front. There is a gorgeous sandy beach, and the park spans behind it, with acres of trees and foliage. Upon entrance to the park you’re greeted by a number of street sellers and sit down restaurants and shops. We stopped at a local food place to eat and had a very well priced meal for two, not too expensive given the area. There is plenty of choice around though, especially from the street sellers, and for people willing to be a little more adventurous than us! Don’t hesitate visiting here, try to plan it when it’s a little quieter, and less touristy. It’s beautiful.

The two stars go for the stunning beach that stretches for kilometres! However, 200B per person for a short walk through a forest full of plastic rubbish isn’t worth it at all. We got asked to pay 420B for two people and a scooter but we noticed after 4pm the pay desks are gone so you should go at that time then you can park and chill without being « ripped off » for a place where they don’t bother cleaning and caring about nature. My apologies for the strong words, though this was a huge disappointment.

I got here by getting a lift up to the top of the hill to go down 1 of the ‘free routes’. This is where the fun began. To start on the pathway that leads to the beach, I had to duck under a fence and then began the walk down on a pathway that is rather steep downwards and upwards. After around 10 minutes or so I reached near to the bottom steps that lead to the rocks but not to the beach. I could see the beach but I couldn’t see anyway to reach there, going via the rocks looked dangerous. So I started the arduous task of going back up the pathway to find an alternative route. As I got back up to the top of the hill, I bumped into someone who had been to the beach before and he advised that there is a small pathway on the left of the last steps and that leads to the beach (the 1st 2 pictures I have put up show the last steps and pathway to take to beach). So following him I finally made it to the beach. The raw natural beauty of the place hit me like nothing else. The sand was white, the water clear on the shore and light blue in the shallow. Some parts of the beach did have rubbish strewn around but the majority of the beach was clear. The beach had a few People around and was not busy. There was only snacks and drinks for sale and there was no pressure to buy unlike other beaches. Red flags were raised and speaking to the lady who sells foodstuff, advised that you shouldn’t swim in some parts and if you do, it’s at your own peril. There is no Lifeguard on duty. This really is the closest I have felt to nature on any beach. I must advise that if you have bad legs or any medical issues then maybe you should seek an alternative route. I did the trip twice down and twice up and needed a breather a few times on my last trip up after my visit ended. There usually is a taxi at the top of the hill, if not top then slight walk down towards the shops. The hard time getting there is worth it as this definitely is the best beach in Phuket I feel and I believe anyone visiting Phuket needs to come visit this beach, even though it’s probably the smallest beach.

(Translated by Google) Freedom Beach is a beach like Oh My! Before walking down to the beach Tired Must walk down the hill Going up the mountain is like going on a pilgrimage to Khao Kit Kood. What is difficult to walk up to? Walking down that difficult Ask if it is beautiful or not, is it beautiful, worth that it should go? If so, it should come once in a while, but if you have to come to swim here every day, you probably won't go up and down every day The beach is full of tourists. Russia seems to be a big crowd on this beach. Looks so famous Among Russian tourists Way to the beach outside Is quite tough, not losing the way to the beach, so I don't mind driving up Park the car downstairs and walk over. This is the worst "national park" ever. Basically they charge you 200 baht to walk on the beach (Nai Yang beach and to the north) the coast line is pretty, but so is most of the coast line un Phuket and other places in Thailand, dont visit this park (1 of the pics I uploaded explains why this área became a national park, you Will not be impress about it) And this is my first terrible review, and it is because of 2 reasons, 1. - this should be a protected área, not a national park. 2.- I dont like that much the coast line and I love national parks (forest/nature Wise) having been charge with 200 bahts to walk on the beach is just ripping people off (200 bahts is not that much money, but i would have prefered to spend that money on food) I uploaded 2 pictures of the coast line, 1 is in the "national park" and the other one is in the south edge of the national park (free to enter) guess Wich one is Wich 🤣

Beautiful wild beach during this covid time. Around 30 min for go down by a short and amazing trek. Beware of snakes and massive spider! But really beautiful. I have done with flip flop but better to take shoes. On the beach we find some step, I guess there is another entrance but maybe not free. We have take the way true to the forest and was free to get there.

Beautiful wide open beach with easy parking. The beach nature trail is also nice and easy to walk, but bring some mosquito repellent. The one drawback is the 200THB fee per foreign person, but I'm happy to make the contribution as they maintain the property well.

First something important: do not take young children to this beach - the path from the parking lot to the beach is too steep. Secondly: I don't recommend visiting the beach after rain - the stairs are mostly cut in clay. Besides, the beach is really beautiful. It is worth seeing. From parking to the beach is 0.5 km. Car park is not big and location on Google maps points to it. After you pass the cottage concrete road will end. Then turn right - before three stones. This is a more comforetable path. Part of the stairs is made of stone there - on the left is jungle only and clay. It is wild beach. U can't find there sunbeds and bar or shops. Enjoy freedom there!

SCAM, lady on the middle of the street to Sirinat beach stops foreigners only and ask to pay 200baht+parking. What you're really paying for is that pice of paper that you can throw away because noone check it. We asked for the map and it's just different beaches along north side. Very trashy, coral reef is not good for swim because of all dead reef that can hurt you if you try to enter. Turtle beach has turtle only ones a year as we got told. We went back to the lady to get our money back at 4pm and she was gone. Next time she stopped me and i told showed her my old ticket and i asked why she doesn't stop not foreigners who kept passing us non stop and she let me enter for free.... I recommend you to ignore her and just enter without stopping. Or skip Sirin beach and see other because no one is checking there. There's also hiking path in the forest which is just 500m walk between trees and trashes

Very pretty area with beautiful unspoiled beaches. The water is very warm and shallow for a long way our which makes it great for swimming. Lots of restaurants along the beach area as well. Pretty sunsets too.

This beach is worth the trek or boat ride; however you get there, just make sure you do because it is gorgeous! My favourite beach in Phuket that visited. I got there by scooter. Turning off from main road, which I probably wouldn't recommend doing lol as it is very bumpy and up hill but I made it! Then I walked down the pathway through a bit of jungle for about 15 minutes and it was gorgeous. There is a little stall before you go down that sells fresh fruit and bottled drinks which I stopped and had some delicious watermelon at after the tiring trek back up. The water was pristine and just a really nice spot on the right.

Nice little national park near Phuket airport. A couple of restaurants and a toilet block inside. Some nice trees and a very nice beach with beautiful blue water too. Was 70 baht for the car and three people for admission. Highly recommend.

Ticket for foreigners is 200 baht and for locals its 40 baht. I showed my student card of my university here and they charged me locals ticket. 20 baht extra for motorbike access. The place is beautiful and you can enjoy being here all the day. Phuket airport is nearby so flight landing over you is a common sight

Best part of Phuket, close to airport and relatively quiet and peaceful. Nice beach and not too many tourists as it's far from the crazies of Patong. Lovely forest of 40 meter tall trees, some kind of evergreen that is just lovely and shady to walk under on these hot days. This is the only part of Phuket I recommend as I just despise the trashiness of the rest of the island, as it's seedy like Pattaya.

Nice little park with a great beach. The sign says 200baht, however we never saw anyone collecting at the gates. It’s free to walk along the beach. Good snorkeling right from shore.

A very beautiful and well maintained national park with roads and walking trails. There is entrance ticket of 100baht per person but if you visit here early morning or in the evening after 5pm it’s free. Also if you come here then you can visit the Nai Yang beach which is just beside the park and by walking you will reach Mai Khao beach which is like an Airport beach where you can do plane spotting and have fun. At Mai Khao beach you will get many people there who are staying nearby in hotels or hostels and have there flights. One can have a great time here. I visited here in March 2023, if you have any questions then do ask me.

Sirinat National Park, this national park of Phuket is about 90 km2 and consists mainly of sea (75%) and a quarter of land. In 1981, during the foundation of the park, it was called Nai Yang National Park. In 1992, the name was changed to Sirinat National Park in honour of Queen Sirikit’s 60th birthday. In that year the 10 km long Mai Khao Beach was also added to Sirinat National Park. You can visit the park by car, scooter or bicycle. There is a big road through the park. With a bicycle you pay nothing, a scooter costs 20 baht and a car 30 baht. Towards the coast, on the beach, the forests consist mainly of pine trees. These provide a beautiful image when looking from the beach. Besides different kinds of trees, there are also many colourful flowers and beautiful plants in the park. There even is a small mangrove forest with a number of lakes that flow into the sea via a meandering freshwater stream. Not only in the water and on land but also in the air, the Sirinat National Park is well represented. No less than 125 different species of birds live here, a true paradise for the avid birder. Apart from birds, you are likely to come across a monitor lizard or another species here and there. Despite Mai Khao Beach being the longest beach on Phuket, Sirinat National Park is actually one of the smallest national parks in Thailand. Address: 89 Sakhu, Thalang District, Phuket 83140 Opening hours: 06:00 am – 07:00 pm

Too much trash everywhere, vehicles passing all the time, locals having picnics with open fire and camping. This is all happening simultaneously with I don’t know who trying to charge you for entrance. Where do this money go to? The park is in a very sad condition and they care only about getting money off the tourists simply trying to get to the Nai Yang beach.

The dirtiest national park I have ever seen. 3 people at the entrance were collecting 200B per person if you are a tourist for entering if, I think it will be a better use of the human resources if at least one of them will be cleaning all the trash on the beaches

It's a small but lovely national park. Since 2020, they have started charging a fee for foreigners; previously, entry was free. Nevertheless, the park boasts a beautiful, spacious beach flanked by tall trees. If you're fortunate, you might catch a glimpse of the extraordinary low tide when the sea level dramatically recedes, revealing a considerably longer stretch of beach with breathtaking coral formations and stones. Additionally, you can marvel at planes passing just overhead, as the airport is in close proximity. Enjoy your visit

Beautiful, serene, and laid-back vibes. People come here to chill in the sea, watch the airplanes land on Phuket Airport, and sleep watching the trees on top of them. There is entrance fee and you can go in and out for the whole day using that ticket. Lots of parking space, beautiful beach, and is perfect for a picnic. The huge trees provide a safe spot against the sun. There is only one toilet I know and it could be done better. Local restaurants, seafood restaurants and cafes(blended juice yum!) are all inside.

(Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful beaches in southern Thailand. Crystal clear water without a boat of any kind, sandy bottoms and immediately deep so be careful of those who do not swim very well. Absolute peace on the beach with about 8 euros you have the opportunity to take an umbrella and 2 sunbeds completely immersed in the green of the jungle. Zero children, zero noise, chaos and anything else zero. All this, however, has a price, the arrival at the beach is almost inaccessible because after having traveled a loooong steep path you have to go down with the help of a rope along a road at the limit of practicality, so do not make my mistake and bring gym shoes because you will have fun. The best beach you can find in Phuket! The clearest water I have seen around that area, beautiful corals with beautiful fishes, (you can bring your own snorkel or rent one there for 100 baths), there are not too many people and the water os so peaceful. You only can get there by boat or walking. I was staying at the Hotel Buri Resort, which is 3,4 km away from that beach and I decided to go by walking which I recommend, it was a little tiring, but everybody could make it (boats charge you 1,000 bath to bring you there, and Taxis charges 400 from patong beach until the last point you can reach with a car). Oh, bring your own food too, because there is only one restaurant there, and it was closed when I was there. I recommend to leave before 6 pm cause there ia not electricity in that beach, and mosquitos are so hungry.

Beautiful beach and not as secret as it once was. People say you have to walk through woods to get there. Lies! Truth is if you don't want to pay to enter shortcut and walk down stairs you have to walk through the freaking jungle down a steep mountain side for about 15/20 min to get there. It was not worth it! Waves were strong which created cloudy water which wasn't good for snorkeling. More people than we expected. Got beat up by the waves so It was not enjoyable.

A nice place to just sit around and hang out. Might see aeroplane fly around as its very close to the airport , not too hot due to the amount of trees. Nice to picnic and stroll around if there’s nothing much to do while waiting for your flight. On the down side the beach is slightly dirty with litters around

Amazing place. Away from the tourist crowd in phuket which spoils the fun at most places. The beach and mountains make a great backdrop for stunning photography, a quick run or just beer and chill all day. Close to the airport, this is a perfect way to end your Thailand trip as per me.

A nice beach with soft sand and clear water. Tourists need to pay 200 baht to pass the checkpoint. You may skip the entrance fee after 5pm. But the water won’t be that clear (maybe due to the tide change) and it is a bit cold.

Entrance 50 THB, then walk several minutes down the hill. The view is amazing with the rocks on both sides of the sandy beach. I didn't want to leave this spot on earth. Check the pictures.

One of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket. I recommend taking a taxi or motor bike to the hike area and also recommend wearing good shoes as the hike can be quite tricky with uneven paths and stairs. The hike area is strongly affected by tourist traffic as you will see when you go there. The beach was very relaxing and the sea water was pleasant, but it was a bit too crowded. I strongly recommend to go there first thing in the morning around 7p.m to really enjoy the beach.

Beautiful setting though the mounds of rubbish arriving at the beach and on the beach itself is a huge let down for this beautiful beach. A clean up is sorely needed. This would be 5 star if not for the rubbish.

  • 5/5 Prairie Y. 3 years ago on Google
Stunning location, quite the hike to get to (10-20mins) but 100% worth the effort. However there was a lot of plastic waste washed up from elsewhere and I'd assume since we visited in the low season there was no regular maintenance or cleanup crew that would otherwise be there during regular non covid days.

At the tip of Koh Lanta is the National Park. I expected the walk would give great views across the island but it doesn’t. The monkeys will try and steal anything especially food. Hide your belongings if you go to swim in the sea. It’s fantastic. Take lots of water

Hidden gem of Phuket. Easy access from Bang Tao Beach. You have the ocean and an estuary from the sea. Within the estuary is an island with vast amount of birds, and easily one of the best spots to capture a jaw-dropping sunset!
