This aquarium is not very big, but still quite good. You can see many kind of fish. Kids like it. After the visit, you can even go down to have a sit on the sand and enjoy the view.

This aquairum is not too small. It is quite extensive. The going rate is 180 baht per foreign adult and 100 baht for an adult with work permit. Same for foreign children, 100 baht each. For Thais it is 50 and 20 baht accordingly. There is a big park adjusting to the premises, spacious parking lot and shore with high trees giving the shade. It looks so inviting, so I would encourage you to bring mats and spend some good time here by the aquarium. It also has the shop, coffee service and some snacks on sale. Please mark as helpful. Btw, I had no luck with finding turtle center, but they have hatching center within meters from the aquarium building.

A great spot for family travel, we went there due to the rainy day. The aquarium provides different information about sea animals. It is not too crowded and it is good for us to travel together with a 2 year old kid. The aquarium is not too big and the ticket price is considered a bit too high.

I personally prefer this to the one in Central Festival given its location to the sea rather than in a modern building. It is not as large with fewer exhibits but still sufficient. Love the Giant Garoupas. In fact the best part is to turn left after exiting to visit the hatcheries (plenty of bamboo sharks) and turtle rescue centre (a marine biology school is next to it). 2 stars for our entire experience including the lack of up keep for the wild life. It was 300.- per adult which is decently priced compared to Aquaria located in Central mall, BUT the experience is just tasteless. Most of the aquariums, in particular the salt water fish towards the back of the exhibits needed maintenance and cleaning desperately. Fish seemed healthy looking overall but is it considered humane if their habitats are in ruins and not to mention too small? The blacktip shark exhibit was way too small for the amount they had confined. Now….the “breeding” and research reservoir in the back is a complete disaster. The poor lonely sea turtle in the front of the building was floating upright and staring at the pool floor for the full 15 minutes we were there-just hopeless and waiting to die. It seemed as if there was no one to tend to them during the day and It was especially hard to see the conditions of these animals considering these animals are endangered and this is supposed to be a “sanctuary”. My suggestion for improvement is to use the $ earned from visitors and towards PROPER maintenance and providing the animals a healthy and clean environment to live in. 3/10 experience. Would not recommend even for small families, PLEASE take your children somewhere that advocates for marine life and promotes taking care of the ocean.

It's a nice little aquarium. "Little" being the underlined word. Is it worth 180 bath? Not really to be honest maybe if one has never seen aquatic life before. Would be great for kids especially as those under 108cm go in free. It is beautiful in it's own way but most enclosures look a bit sad and even though there are 2 "shows" about the environment one is mostly for kids as they have cartoon animation over the film and the other is presented from the point of view of a turtle and its filled with to many "oooh" and "ahhh" to the point of annoyance. I think the most interesting specimens I saw for a few small sharks, a few lion fish and a few giant bass that's it no squid, no turtles, no sea urchins, no sting rays and a few moreen eels who looked as depressed as anything more like on the verge of death. Cool thing was before you go in u can touch star fish and sea cucumbers.

We took the dining at the tunnel walk area and the experience was out of this world as the marine life were all around us. The food was very well presented and delicious, with attention to detail. I arrived there with my wife and we both just started at the star fish for about 5 mins. They were so divine! Second time that we dined at the Famous Andasi Underwater Restaurant here in Phuket. Welcomed by the friendly staff dining in their VIP tunnel. The food was great! Wonderful venue for a restaurant...under an aquarium, great views of sea-life anda mermaid show during the meal. The food was very good, I had the 11 course Suvannamaccha and loved virtually all the courses, my favourites were the risotto and the mango dessert. The portions were just the right size, so I was feeling nicely full by number 11 and the pace of service was just right...I definitely recommend this restaurant!

We arrived through an underwater tunnel, over which the ocean creatures swam (among them several menacing tiger sharks!), to a plush and tastefully decorated interior. The installation art on the ceiling, complemented the wall to wall aquarium, together they produced a romantic yet serene vibe. We had the chef’s tasting menu which rivaled Michelin rated establishments. Among the many courses, I simply can’t forget the taste of the hamachi rose: pieces of marbled yellow tail sashimi, rolled in delicate yellow beet pedals. I also loved the Italian cream tortellini, rich but not filling, whose fragrance tickled the nose and taste buds. I was pleasantly surprised by the black sesame ganache, with vanilla ice cream. It is hard to beat chocolate but this came very close. Between courses, our attention was drawn to the aquarium by a curtain of bubbles. Alas the show was starting. A pair of gorgeous mermaid and merman dove in the tank. Their lithe bodies traced the most beautifully choreographed loved story. I couldn’t get over the skill required to put on such a show. There was an encore performance of an under water ballet, choreographed to moving music. I didn’t mind that the service was at a slower pace. The wait staff was warm and attentive. Nothing was lacking and the bill was reasonable for an evening of entertainment. I’d love to bring my family in the future.

You may think that a restaurant located inside of an aquarium, with dining surrounded by a huge saltwater fish tank and mermaid entertainment sounds a bit kitschy, nothing more than a them restaurant with mediocre food, but you would be very, very wrong. I recently ate at Gaggan, Bangkok's most famous restaurant, considered to be Asia's finest restaurant with two Michelin stars. Andasi's chef's menu was every bit the culinary adventure - an odyssey of flavors, textures and colors - but eminently more eatable than Gaggan's (I particularly liked that unlike at Gaaggan, at Andasi I was not requested to like my plate, or eat any dishes off my bare hand). At the same time, the shimmering saltwater fish tank, teaming with 100 kilo groupers, tiger sharks and multi-colored stingrays, made for a mesmerising setting. When the the mermaid and merman appeared in the tank, their synchronised swimming was like an underwater ballet. What could easily have been corny, was absolutely stunning. The only problem I had with the food was that among the 3 choices for desert, there wasn't one chocolate option! And my only complaint was that it took a little long to get the check and pay (but the manager did say that our chef's menu was custom made due to my dietary restrictions, so the staff struggled with the POS). Even despite these small problems, I would highly recommend Andasi and would go so far as to say that it is the one absolute cannnot-miss restaurant in Phuket.

On the surface, we thought it might be a bit of a tourist trap, but it’s an experience worth your while and your bhat. Southeast Asian flavours meet nouvelle cuisine to create a remarkably inspired dining experience. I did the 5-course meal, and my partner did the 11-course, we split some of his courses between us and left full which is rare for this kind of fare. Dishes using everyday ingredients like chicken and eggplant were excellent and truly a step above the rest, while novel ingredient dishes like the crocodile and the quail biryani with yoghurt jelly were actually amazing and showcased beautifully. In the tunnel, the entertainment is endless with sea creatures passing by throughout dinner. The merpeople show was breathtaking and just the cherry on top. If you're not familiar with Phuket, it can be a little difficult to find, but locals were helpful with showing us the way. In summary: delicious dishes, amazing atmosphere, and a marvellous merpeople show -our evening went swimmingly, to say the least.
