The dam and surrounding reservoir is well known to local residents, offering a very picturesque spot for running, walking, and cycling. There is an exercise loop of approximately 6.4kms when one combines the dam and local road surrounding the reservoir; this local road is peaceful and offers a natural setting with very limited number of cars. It is possible to further increase the length of this exercise loop by adding a smaller section of Soi Chonlaprathan, which is directly north (or below) of the dam. In doing so, you also add elevation gain into your exercise routine. The whole area is very peaceful and is popular in the early mornings, more so in the evening. The best time would probably be in the morning where the weather is cooler and there is less people. Free parking is available on both sides of the dam, but the toilet facilities do not have running water.

Beautiful nature area for long walks (7km). Most of it in the shade, but the distance is rather great. Views are picturesque.

A beautiful water reservoir, around which a road with a cycle lane is laid. The road is located in the shade, so even in the sun it will be nice to ride. On the shore there are gazebos to sit at the table and chill with the water view.

This beautiful place consists of a water dam that forms part of a road about seven kilometers long and is dedicated to walking, running and cycling. There are also some springs around this place, which embraces a large lake that it is the water storage in this area

This is the best place for jogging in Phuket for me. The circle is about 6.2 km, and you run through the forest, the air is fresh and view is amazing! I love this place, it reminds me Siberia, little Siberia in Phuket♥️🙂

Other than trash, illegal fishing huts, and people parking wherever they stop, it's fine. The road around the lake is nice.

Amazing place for walkimg, running and cycling. My personal opinion, when u walk or run, use the right side. Dont use the bike lane. There is a different height

Quiet place for just chilaxing after the many jungle activities Phuket has to offer (near Tiger Kingdom and Elephant sanctuaries, zip lining.. etc), saw few people running that made me regret not bringing my adidas, has good parking spaces, the few steps were not wheelchair-friendly but manageable for my mother who can walk a little but it maybe challenging for people who couldn’t.. The area is well-maintained, clean with refreshing air and green scenery..

The reservoir itself is a view. It has parking spaces and other spaces for outdoor activities. There’s a loop around which is almost 6km stretch where you can walk, jog, run or even talk with a friend. It took me almost an hour to finished the loop just by walking around which means it will give me less than half an hour if I double my speed. Views surrounding the loop are good not to mention the fresh air.

A beautiful set of views along the Reservoir and excellent for anyone exercising or a nice walk. For some reason many of the sellers were gone so only a coconut available, the coffee shop was closed and it seems in rainy season there aren't many options. Nevertheless a great spot. CCTV cameras around the walk would make women feel more safe.

Beautiful and quiet area for exercise and also to get out of the city. I used a scooter to ride around the reservoir and absolutely loved it. Worth visiting.

My favorite Damm in South of phuket. Perfect for running not too many tourists. Nature its just amazing

Excellent walking, biking, running & path. Lots of parking and shade on the pathway and little vendors to buy water and coconuts.

Good place for exercise and enjoy jungle environment also they have beautiful dam here.

I wouldn't give this spot 5 stars as a tourist attraction, but it gets 5 for being a great running/walking/biking spot. Almost exactly 6km all the way around on the paved road. Vendors selling fruit in the evening (mostly in the larger parking lot area).

About a 7km walking trail around the reservoir. Parking available at the head of the trail and some sheltered pavilions with nice views.

''Bang Wat Reservoir'' is not much famous but we went on 23rd March around 1 pm and expand a wonderful time and did a round drive to the Reservoir in our Phuket trip... it will give a different experience ... it's not a crowded place, hardly find any people... but it's safe to visit, and expand some peaceful time .... I like to visit again.. and explore the morning walking experience...

Often come here to chill and have a smoke. Has good atmosphere and prices, definitely recommend you to visit. There is also a gameroom with PS4, the only place to have it on phuket i think

Great place to visits, beautiful, serene and just a nice quiet place to come and walk around .

Easy walk on sealed road around the dam. Lots of trees and shade throughout most of the road. If you bring your dog, please watch out for resident dogs as they can be bullies (bring a stick to shooo them away). A cafe is there to chill out half way through the course.

Ran over a king cobra on my bike! Wow. Quite the experience... signs say watch for bikes. I say watch the road for snakes....

Great location for a run. Loop is approximately 4 miles. Easy to add additional miles by incorporating nearby roads by golf course. Wonderful to see so many people, locals and foreign. Serious runners, casual and families all out for some exercise.

Awsum jogging and cycling track with huge lake and park area. Great for picnic and afternoon chill out.

Almost perfect running circle around the lake. The only disadvantage that it isn’t closed to vehicles and pretty annoying when diesel pick ups passing by when you are about to spit out your lungs. :) A round is 6km in length. Nice scenery. Lovely place.

Stunning and quiet location. Perfect for a daily jog or to sit and relax with the sounds of nature around the water. Even when overcast I love coming here for some peace and stunning scenery. Pictures do not do it justice 💕

Love going here for a walk around this peaceful lake!. Feels very woodsy since there is a cliff on one side and the lake on the other. You're surrounded by vegetation and nice breezes. Parking area at both ends of the dam. Mostly shady, level, paved path with lake views all the way around. Many small waterfalls, lots of butterflies, seen monitors, and a turtle at different times. Also, a couple of cafes along the route. Bathrooms at the main parking area are pitiful but useable if you gotta go. Few motorbikes and the occasional car on the road. I've clocked it at 6.4km or 4m.

Good place for a walk and a good bike track to ride around. If you ride at a decent pace it’s about 20 minutes for each lap.

So calm and chilling place, good 6.6km running flat.

A favorite cycling track. Approximately 6km around the reservoir. Mostly shaded, an excellent riding area for mid day. Expect to see joggers, rollerblading and the odd fisherman.
