Definitely worth a visit especially if you love dogs and cats. They are the people that really care about animals and do a lot of work behind the scenes, from rescuing/saving/curing animals, to great things like ended dogs trade in Thailand. They are a nonprofit organization, so please support them by volunteering, adopting, and sponsoring/donating.

What a lovely place, personally we went in a group of 4 people and out impression was the best, they have different rooms for the dogs and cats separate by age and behaive, so great! Besides all the instalations you can see the organization and the cleaning is very great. The Volunteers are highly needed to walk and give love to the dogs :)

Such a beautiful experience to get to visit this rescue. The story of Gill and John is inspiring and heartbreaking 💔 but what they have built and the work that continues to be done in their name is just priceless. If you get the chance to volunteer here you should do it. You can register on the website the day before and turn up at 9am. Also if you just want to visit you can take a tour around the park, check the website for your times and free bookings

If you are a dog lover and ever in Phuket, I highly recommend volunteering at the Soi Dog Foundation. We had an amazing time and it was so rewarding to give back. A lot of these dogs have had very hard lives and have often been victims of cruelty so it was great to spend some time with them through walking, socialising and playing and help them see not all humans are bad. We loved it and will definitely be back 🐶🐕💙

It is obvious that all the staff and volunteers care and love the animals. We arrived slightly after 10am and were brought around a tour of the premises. We went with two kids (3yo and 5yo) and were also allowed to pet the cats, with parental supervision. The kids were a little too small to play with the puppies because they were kind of big. The animals were lovely and gentle, seemingly appreciative of the wonderful care that they were given. Also met a couple of warm hearted volunteers from all over the world who stopped by to introduce the doggies they were walking. There was no hard selling or request for donations, which made us even more happy to contribute to the cause. A wonderful spirited place, thanks very much for the hospitality and positive vibes.

An absolute must - easily done when heading to the airport or driving out of Phuket. The entire set up is fantastic and the absolute care from the volunteers/staff is outstanding. All are angels. Our guide Gan (hopefully spelt right) was a pleasure and full of joy humour. Learnt so much about all the projects they do even outside the facility, the dogs and cats, the procedures they have such as keeping all cats and dogs until they’re adopted and when they’re not they set up sponsorship programs and keep them forever. Any injured, abandoned or uncared for dog will be rescued and cared for until then. Going even further than that, any soi dog that prefers to live outside as they’re cared for by the community and tourists they will still capture and neuter and vaccinate and take back to where they came from. If you’ve been in Thailand for any time you’ll see that many dogs prefer to be able to roam free, but rather than let them get sick or produce puppies that will also be strays they take care of this. That part really got me. We learnt about the founder, who sadly passed a few years ago. About all the facilities they have and how all the animals are separated into groups that make them comfortable (teenager, senior, small, shy etc) and same for cats (healthy, FEV, FELV). You’re allowed to spend as long as you like with th cats at the end (however we were early and was allowed to see them prior to the tour which was very nice of them). The puppies were only in kennels when we came because it was raining heavy, usually they would be out playing in the play area :) Could go on forever, but better to check out yourself! They’re always in need of volunteers for all sorts, even down to flying with animals to other countries where they’ve been adopted if it’s where you’re going anyway! Thanks again all 💙

Dogs and cats lovers a must go visit not just to play with but also to support. Yours can be offered but in time slots, check for updates. Though donation is welcome to support but no one will ask you for it, is entirely up to your own will. So go there with your kids and love ones.

Outstanding foundation. You can see the effects of their work in the beach dog families of Phuket. Amazing! I love that it is free to volunteer and you can donate as you are able. Will always come and devote time to this place when in Phuket!!

This is a government funded shelter. Workers are dedicated to safeguarding and dogs have more space then in shelters in my country. Still, shelter needs volunteers to feed and walk dogs. There are so many beauties just waiting for their forever homes. Please, support with food and care.

Anyone visiting Phuket should not miss the opportunity to visit the Soi Dogs (and Cats) rescue shelter. They have a free guided tour in the morning and afternoon during weekdays. Soi Dogs is doing amazing work in Thailand and they have a first class business plan to make sure any money donated goes where it's needed. They also campaign against the illegal and legal (in Vietnam) dog meat trade and many of the dogs have actually been directly rescued from the illegal trade in Thailand. Sylvia was an amazing host and showed so much compassion and knowledge about the dogs and cats on-site.

Soi dog has their heart in the right place. The kind of work they do for street animals is amazing. We went for the 45 min walking tour and are highly motivated to come back to volunteer. Sylvia explained their entire facility to us very patiently answering all our questions. The highlight was of course getting to hang out with the cats and the puppies. Wear comfortable clothing, bring a hat and sunglasses and comfortable walking shoes.

We found two kittens near our hotel, which had been thrown away to the garbage can. We brought them to the vet and she recommended us to contact Soidog shelter. They responded immediately (in English!) and were very helpful. Soidog took these kittens and didn’t even ask for donation. I am so grateful that these buddies are in a safe place now. Hope that someone will adopt them. Actually, I haven’t checked the shelter, but it seems to be a nice place because cats look good.

What amazing and inspiring place. Sad in some ways, all those lonely dogs. But they are safe and healthy, well fed and with some luck will find homes!

I have wanted to visit this foundation since I arrived in thailand. The Soi Dog Foundation is an amazing non profit charity helping all dogs and cats in need. If your in the area you should come and visit and even if you have a couple days volunteer and help!! The dogs and cats here are in amazing hands, and and are well looked after they just need your help with walking and giving them love! If you like cats more there is a cat section too full of the most loving cats I've ever seen!! Chrissy Sylvia, and the rrdt Soi staff here are doing amazing jobs looking after the doggies and cats. They are so helpful with new volunteers and its great to see they are all passionate with what they do. So volunteer if your around or go and visit spend time with them 😀

Absolutely amazing place, the most worthy of all Phuket. The people there are giving all their effort and love to the abandoned and injured animals. Entry is free. The commented tour is every hour. At the end you can pet many dogs, puppies and cats.

Please try to visit Soi Dog Foundation and learn more about the fantastic work they do helping the sick and injured stray dogs and cats of Phuket. We took the tour which was free and donations are welcome. We very much enjoyed the tour and our time in the puppy pen and cattery. There are volunteering opportunities too.

A safe haven for Thailand's stray and abandoned dogs & cats. They have wonderful facilities for the dogs and cats they've rescued, while providing them with medical care and housing them in various different categories that aid in their recovery and rehabilitation. Truly a fantastic place - a must visit for anyone visiting Phuket. Furthermore if you want to help out, they have a 2 day volunteer program to help walk the dogs and socialise with them - the 2 days don't need to be consecutive either. Couldn't praise them enough for the work they do here.

We just visited the Soi Dog Foundation a couple days ago and were blown away by how amazing this facility was. They provided a wonderfully informative tour of their facilities and even allowed us to interact with their cherished Soi puppies. The staff there is simple amazing and we could feel how committed they were to the Soi Dog mission. Please visit this awesome place, you will not regret it! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Soi Dog Foundation, for what you do every day and what you represent!

Absolutely the highlight of our visit to Phuket. This facility is efficiently run by passionate volunteers and staff. The tour was informative, and the whole experience was quite eye opening and emotional. We were welcome to sit with the rescue cats as long as we liked. We really enjoyed patting the puppies too.

Free tour of the place by a bubbly friendly guide :) We had the chance to also interact with the puppies and the cats. One lady wearing a skirt wasn't allowed into the puppy area. They are doing a great work working with the street dogs and cats. Really worth a visit :)
