Beautiful cafe/restaurant nestled in the jungle of Rang Hill. We arrived early to watch the monkeys feeding and then headed over to Tunk-ka Cafe for a light lunch. With sweeping views of Phuket Town, Chalong Bay and the Panwa Peninsula a visit to Tunk-ka is an experience not to be missed. We enjoyed a lunch of Tom Yum Goong and a spicy seafood salad, both excellent. Prices are very reasonable considering the environment. The staff are attentive, but not overbearing and speak reasonably good English. We plan to return at a later date for sunset dinner. Ten out of ten from us!

Food Ordered: Pineapple fried rice and coconut soup with prawns and they are alright. Pros: Stunning view. Cons: Limited English for waiters. Suggest only speak keywords and not complete sentences or they will misunderstand. Also best to double check the order with them before they go back to the kitchen. As I tried to remind the waitress to make the meat “cooked”and she thought that I wanted a bottle of coke! I did mention that I only wanted food and no drink but they still returned with a bottle of coke. The waitress said something in Thai that sounded like a complain after I told them to return the coke… Overall it wasn’t a bad experience. I have learnt how to communicate with the waiters and hopefully nothing will go wrong next time.
