Lovely temple top of the hill just going out of Patong. Usually big temple is closed, but climb the dragon's stairs to visit the one in the top. Very inspiringm

Much of it was closed (2 PM). A monk happened to walk by as I was thinking of leaving and he gave me a tour of what was open. Bring a coin as an offering.

Maybe this is the closest to Patong Beach amongst all Buddhist Temple at Phuket, but definitely not main tourist destination. Therefore we can feel the serenity as there is not so many people visiting... If you stay around Patong and need to walk around out of beach a d shop houses, Wat Suwan can be considered... esp for the one never sees Buddhist Temple before.

Impressive architectures and sculptures, bright coloured and very detailed. We took a walk from the beach for about 30-40 minutes. Recommend this temple for all Patongโ€™s vacationers. Note: one side of the temple is undergoing cosmetic repair, we couldnโ€™t get inside.

What a beautiful temple also known as Patong Temple. I have been told it is one of the oldest here in Phuket and I loved it. Surreal architecture and beautiful inside the various temples as there are a few within the very large Wat. Highly recommend and make sure you are appropriately dresses out of respect.

The architecture of the Wat are amazing. The colours and the upkeep of the building is to be admired. Free to go in and walk around, on a very busy junction.

My partner likes to visit temples and give offerings often. Being foreign national I enjoy the culture and embrace the experiences as partner is of thai nationality.

We loved the temple up the hill with the there golden Buddahs but the temple up front is a little shabby and needs cleaning and new paint. I have seen nicer once in Thailand. Worth visiting anyway since it is free!
