Just spent the morning feeding and bathing the most beautiful elephants. They are all rescued from the logging or entertainment industries and you can tell how much they are loved and respected. Seeing the elephants looked after so well made for an incredible day and memories my family and I will never forget.

I Absolutely LOVED the time I spent with these gorgeous big friendly Elephants roaming free. If you just want to feed them, cuddle, have photos and watch then walk around without ANY chains on (which I personally think was the best thing). For an hour or so, will cost around 900 baht, which converts to about $30 Aus dollars. I think that is a great price. If you want more than it will cost more. It definitely was a highlight of my trip💓 I highly recommend this place

Amazing experience!! SAY NO TO RIDING! This sanctuary takes care of elephants that come from circus, entertainment events and riding “adventures”. You’ll feed, shower and observe them in a peaceful retirement life. Have in mind that domestic elephants cannot survive in the wilderness and some of them are old enough, they need care every day! So perfect ETHIC way to meet and be with the elephants! Staff is really nice and elephants are just adorable!

Absolutely amazing sanctuary! We visited here on our trip to Thailand it was one of the most amazing, memorable and breathtaking experiences ever. I love the fact the elephants are treated and cared for with the utmost love, attention and respect, that these amazing creatures deserve. Some of the traumatic stores of how these elephants ended up in the sanctuary were truly heart breaking, so this sanctuary does an amazing job! We loved mud bathing with the elephants, feeding them and kissing them on their foreheads! Look forward to visiting again. The prices were very reasonable and included pick up and drop off. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely wonderful. You can tell the staff really look after and take care of the rescued elephants. They educate and talk about elephants to you. You get to feed, scrub and bath elephants. The staff also cook nice Thai food for you as well. I highly recommend this place because the elephants here are protected, well looked after and NOT FOR RIDING!

One of the best experience ever. The elephants are so big yet such gentle animals. You could see the love around them and how happy they were! Riding the elephants was not allowed, which I think is the best thing ever. All of the elephants were rescued with such a sad history. We loved every part of it, feeding them, playing with mud, washing them, showering with them. I would highly recomment this experience to anyone that wants to see these beautiful animals. The staff were amazing people, always smiling and giving us information, and taking pictures with us. Overall it was a very positive experience and would love to come again.

Highlight of our Thailand experience! Hannah was awesome in guiding us through a ‘feed and shower’ with the elephants. Wonderful to see these majestic animals being well taken care of with such great staff. Hannah was so forthcoming with information and background on these ‘rescues’. Avoid the outfits offering rides or circuses with elephant shows. They are inhumanely treated. So grateful for these sanctuary’s that give them a new life. Great activity for kids on up ! Highly recommend.

If you’re looking for an elephant sanctuary that actually care and look after elephants, look no further. We visited this place 2 days in a row. First day we were a bit late and couldn’t wash the elephants but we fed them and it was absolutely beautiful so we booked to wash the elephants the next day. We got to feed them, had a mud bath with them and then showered with them. After that we had a cooking tutorial by Teddy, we ate beautiful Thai food and our host Uncle Chow, big shout out to Uncle Chow!!!!! He made us laugh and he is very passionate about the elephants, all the staff really care about the well-being of their beautiful elephants who were all rescued from abuse. It’s also good they don’t let you ride the elephants, emphasising that they genuinely care. Would definitely come back, Uncle Chow and Teddy are the best!!!!!!

We had an amazing experience with our family here. The elephants at the Sanctuary are rescued from the worst places & loved & cared for. Our guide was very informative, about the place, process, & the overall. Very interactive we had a good time learning about the animal & feeding them. . Recommended activity for families to do when in Phuket.

The best day of my life. A unique experience. The elephants are doing well there, you can see that straight away. It was a lot of fun bathing with the elephants.

Wow, Amazing Experience. We did the One Day Jungle Walk at the Phuket location on January 2, 2024. We feed them several times, did a jungle walk, gave them a mud bath, followed up by a cleaner bath and finally a wonderful shower; we also gave them protein rice balls and feed them again - full day of love. Our guide for the day was Smiley and she was outstanding as well as the 2 Mahouts that day. Please give a big shout out to the 3 of them, they are a huge asset to your organization. Smiley was so knowledgeable, great photographer, great sense of humor and you can tell she cares about the elephants deeply; the 2 Mahouts were so caring of the elephants and treated them with respect and the love they deserve. Our elephants appeared to be very content and happy!!! If you want to interact with elephants this is the Sanctuary you want to go to. We all loved being with the elephants and for us it was the best part of our trip and deeply spiritual and fulfilling; I cannot say enough about our visit and how well the rescued elephants appeared to be taken care of. We tipped our guide, and also tipped the 2 Mahouts (our caretakers of our 2 elephants) as they are a huge part of the elephants well being. Cheers to you all for taking caring of these gentle giants! Also, cannot forget the Thai food was amazing too - whoever prepares these meals are fantastic. In closing, there are a lot of unethical elephants tourist places where they do not treat the elephants good at all and use them just for profit - Breaks my heart. Please, Please do your research before you visit and only go to the ones where they are compassionate, take good care and love the elephants. In a world where you can be anything, Be Kind!

Everything went smoothly when picked up. When we arrived we noticed that there were a lot of people here... according to the reviews we assumed there would be around 20 people. There were at least 50 in our group. Briefly fed with bananas, then into the mud and then into a lake to wash off and take a rain shower. Unfortunately, they are always kept in their little "sheds/boxes". It has nothing to do with experiencing how they move in the jungle or in nature. Very disappointing, presented differently than it actually is. It has something to do with mass processing and making money. The elephants are exposed to stress. Simply sad and sinful...we can't understand the good reviews at all.

Wow...I think that pretty much sums the experience up. From the funny introduction and great sense of humour, to the swimming with Elephants. They are treated so well, they were beyond happy and definitely looked after like Kings. Amazing experience, Thank you for sharing these beautiful animals with the public. Would highly recommend going there.

Feeding elephants is something everyone should experience it. This is a rescue place and elephants are treated well. Next time we will do half or even a full day experience with elephants. Highly recommended for kids and adults as well.

We took the afternoon tour. A really amazing experience. The stuff is amazing, everyone is so KIND!! There is a photographer that makes photos for free and also the kindly stuff always suggest to picture you on your phone. It's really seems that they take great care of the amazing elephants. RECOMMENDED!

Such a wonderful experience. Totally worth it! Before coming I was really worried about how they treat the elephants at this type of places but since I came in I just felt totally relieved. They have so much love and respect for the elephants and it shows. Everything depends on the elephants and not at any moment they are obligated to do something, most of times we were just around them. Letting them be. What made the whole experience even better, Kevin and Thunder were such amazing hosts, they were very informative and funny as well. Last but not least, caretakers and kitchen staff also great. There’s also a photographer (handsome boy) that takes photos of everyone while doing the activities. Thank you guys very much for the very valuable work you do, you are truly making the world a better place to live in! Ariel.

Amazing day out with the family. My 2 year old loved being able to interact with the elephants and they were so gentle with him. Mud bath and swimming with them was amazing. Plus a great lunch. These rescued elephants are very loved and not a chain or hook in sight and of course there is no riding.

I'm Thai and did the half-day experience with a foreign friend. From the moment we arrived, the experience was thoroughly educational and fun. You get to meet, feed, and shower many elephants, many of which are ancient, gentle, giants! The guides Minty and K had great English and sense if humor and was able to provide an educational and fun experience. At first I thought the program was expensive compared to similar experiences but now I see why given the number of elephants they have and the quality of everything including the designated photographer and day wrap up video highlight, i think it was worth the price and more. I think our group size of about 27 was good, might be a bit different if the number gets large. The mud bath and elephant grooming was a wonderful experience. The company is a non-profit and has elephant sanctuaries in many provinces and over 100 rescue elephants on the country now.

Really nice experience and would recommend! We booked online and got confirmation about the pickup time within 15 minutes. Our guide was energetic and spoke good English. Everything went smoothly, feeding and bathing with elephants was really exciting experience. You can also shower in private after the swim. They also offered rich lunch providing Pad Thai, rice, fries and fruits.

This place is the BEST. The elephants are so cute and seem really happy. They rescue the elephants from riding camps and circuses and have one caretaker per elephant, at the elephant’s choosing. Our guide, Smiley, couldn’t have been better. She was super knowledgeable and also very funny. They also take tons of photos for you so you don’t have to worry about that and get to enjoy your experience. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!!

Amazing Sanctuary we had visited 4 since doing our 10 days in Thailand this was by far the best. We did the whole day which was truly spectacular. Mr Kangaroo was our guide and what a top guy. We did a jungle walk with the elephants in the morning, washed them and a mud bath, fed them multiple times. Unlimited supply of food for the elephants unlike other sanctuaries we have been too. The elephants appeared very much cared for and at the heart of what the sanctuary stands for. Overall an amazing place and such a truly amazing experience especially when you hear about some of the awful neglect the elephants had in the past. I would highly recommend doing the full day. You get food included and have your own hut in much smaller groups. 10/10 we hope to return in the not to distant future.

Wonderful place for a lot of rescued elephants! Everything was perfect, we had plenty of time to interact with the elephants and to take photos. We spent a lot of time bathing with them as well. They are wonderful animals and very nice with people, including small children. The staff were amazing as well. I left with a big smile on my face! Everything was perfect, there were small gifts at the end of our visit. They offer card payments and hotel transfers, which is very convenient. Recommend!

Very nice place when you want to learn something about elephants The keepers take cery good care of older elephants which they saved from circus or other attractions. We paid for the one hour of feeding and I think it was enough to enjoy some time with elephants and feed them.

Amazing ethical no ride sanctuary, our guide spoke English, had a great deal of knowledge and knew so much about the elephants. If you want to feed, wash and learn about these rescued lovely huge animals this is the best place to do it in Phuket. There is a cafe on site also.

As a large group of 26 this amazing elephant sanctuary was a highlight in our Thailand trip. The staff could not have been more helpful and professional, the food buffet was beyond what we expected and of course the elephants were adorable. Many of us fell in love and had such a connection with these gentle giants. Don’t hesitate to support this amazing place, spend your money in the gift shop and if possible to donate to a wonderful cause. Thanks to the entire team.

A wonderful experience getting to feed and know more about the elephants. Hanna our guide was so friendly and happy to answer all our questions. This is a no ride experience, the elephants are rescued from the logging and circus industry and brought to the sanctuary to be cared for. We would have loved to have stayed the full day!

Fantastic experience! Minty & Hannah were our guides, and them along with the Mahout were very knowledge about every individual Elephant. Elephants roam free and almost do as they please, there's rules to respect to keep the Elephants safe but this didn't take away from the experience.

Great experience! Definitely recommend! The staff was kind and took the time to explain what's the best way to approach the elephants without disturbing them. They also provide additional insight about elephants and how they were rescued. The elephants look relaxed and enjoy being fed by the visitors. It feels like a welcoming environment for both elephants and guests!

Incredible experience. They really care about the elephants there. We had awesome guide, Sky, who is a really great guy, genius photographer, and knows every elephant by the name. I highly recommend half day tour. You help people, you help elephants and you have lots of fun.

Was a very cool experience! We booked the Feed Me program (duration approx. 1 hour), where we were able to feed the elephants with banana leaves, pet them and take photos with them. At the beginning there was a short introduction in which it was explained how you should behave towards the animals, where you can touch them and where the animals were rescued from. Unfortunately, the introduction was a little too short for me personally; I would have liked to find out more. Other than that, it was a great experience. The animals run freely (no chains, sharp lances, etc.) alongside the keepers and listen to their every word. The keepers seem to have a good connection with their elephants and most are super helpful too. In total we were on the site with around 20 people and 5-7 elephants. The animals are changed after about an hour to go for a walk. So it doesn't seem to be just a tourist attraction where money is in the foreground and animal welfare in the background. Unfortunately, this happens far too often in Thailand. I felt comfortable here throughout - I can definitely recommend it with a clear conscience! :)

Had an excellent experience at this place! Before the visit I thought 900 Thb is too much but later I understood that these money are utterly important to maintain the sanctuary and rescue more elephants from the exploitation so the price is really reasonable. At the beginning our group was instructed with the safety rules. After that we collected the food in the buckets and fed the elephants, this experience is literally unforgettable 🥰 The elephants are beautiful and smart animals, love them! I appreciate the efforts of the team, thank you for contributing to rescuing these lovely creatures ❤️

A great sanctuary where you could really tell that the elephants were well taken care of and were happy! Feeding the elephants was a lot of fun and very relaxing. The sanctuary rescues elephants that were previously used as work (ex. Elephant rides), mistreated/injured and provides them care and enrichment that tourists/people can help with. It was well worth it and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a true sanctuary that prioritizes its elephants.

  • 5/5 Paul W. 10 months ago on Google
This is a definite bucket list experience, it's amazing the elephants are treated so well and roam the grounds when they are not meeting their guests. The people who run the place care for the animals and provide a good experience. There is a buffet at the end and drinks are available at the shop. There is also plenty of free water. This is this is an amazing experience and well worth doing more than once.

Thank you to all the staff at Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket. 🐘 🐘 🐘 On our afternoon experience we had Hannah, Mr Chow and Smiley showing us around and telling us some interesting information about the elephants they have at the sanctuary. These 3 were very passionate about their jobs and making us all feel safe and comfortable. Our experience was bathing the elephants, feeding the elephants and making their supplementary diets. Soon after they provided us all with nice shower and cleaning facilities with soap and shampoo to clean up! After showering a quick tutorial on how to make a Pad-Thai dish was explained. Thank you to all the members with the elephants for showing us the incredible animals you have. To all the staff behind the scenes cooking our delicious lunch Thank you also.

We reached at 3:30 pm, so we could buy tickets for only "feeding the elephants". We met a total of only 4 or 5 elephants. There was a facility to wash your hands before entering and exiting. We were given food baskets to feed them. It was a wonderful experience. The mahouts explained to us a little about the elephants, their age, behaviour, food patterns, etc. There was one elephant who had a skin infection and a treated tumor. She did not like to interact with any humans and so was by herself in the corner. There's an elephant Cafe within the premises where you can get a free drink after showing your tickets. You can buy some snacks, souvenirs etc. Nice experience, very good to take children. Although the other elephant jungles are also in the same vicinity.

Amazing experience. It was only me and my wife and one other couple. Pricier than some other tours I've seen but this one lets you feed and bathe with the elephants whereas some others only let you feed them. The buffet lunch was awesome. We got a free tote bag at the end. Definitely recommend the elephant jungle sanctuary.

Starts off with a brief of the events with drinks and snacks provided. First opportunity to see the elephants up close is feeding them watermelon. In an enclosure with canopies to keep the elephants out of the sun. Each elephant has a member of staff standing with them to keep everyone safe. The next opportunity is the showering of the elephants. They have 23 elephants on site the ones we saw seemed to be very well looked after and help provide awareness. Their youngest on site was 7 with the oldest being mid 70’s. A fantastic experience that anyone should consider if they are close.

A magical, wonderful, fantastic experience. The elephants are well-cared for and the staff is very friendly and fun. Nice facilities. We felt like the elephants were treated well and not made to perform or provide rides for guests. They looked happy. We fed them mini bananas provided by the park. Gift shop and cafe is very reasonably priced. Would recommend. Staff are very informative and hospitable.

That was a great experience ever! My family including two sons are very happy with that! So loved elephants as well as passionate staffs were given us all new experience that can understand them more and more. I strongly recommend this program to all who want to know elephants with the holistic perspective such as feeding, bathing and selfing with them. Plus, they offered us a great photos taken by a photographer during the activities. Last but not least, kudos to Minty, who is the best staff ever. She is very humorous as well as professional!

Such a beautiful place! The elephants seem to have a good life here. We got to feed them, give them a mud bath, brush, and shower with them. All the guides are friendly and can tell you a lot about the elephants. We also got to cook fresh pad Thai for lunch and have a nice buffet. 10/10 experience!!

Easily the best experience we've had this whole vacation. Most importantly the animals are so well cared for. The tour guides are friendly and funny and the amount of time and closeness you get with the elephants is wonderful. This all takes place in a very natural setting which is so important. Oh, and the food and parting gifts top it all off. Thanks for an amazing experience!

booked a feed me experience through klook, which allows you to feed the elephants, see them from up close, and gives you one free drink. i really liked the experience. After registration, you can chill inside the cafe before they tell you to gather to go into the elephants. the guide tells you some information about the sanctuary and the elephants, and afterwards, you can feed them bananas. they also help you take lots of photos and videos. i went there alone and wasn't feeling too well that day, but i still had a marvellous time thanks to the caregivers that work there. they helped me with taking pictures and talked to me and made sure if I was doing okay. it was great to see the elephants from up close, and you can tell that the caregivers have a strong bond with them. i definitely will come back with my family one day!

My mom and I visited the elephant feeding program and it was just unforgettable! (The program included one free drink per person) The workers of the reserve talked a little about the words and their life in the reserve, and then we started feeding. It was so great! You could see from how each elephant takes a fruit from your hand, how different temperaments they have! Someone was more tender, and someone was very, very hungry! :) At the end of the program, you could take pictures next to the elephants one by one, this is an unforgettable experience! One hour just flew by! I recommend to visit!

We booked the Feed Me program which is for one hour. After a quick introduction and some safety instructions from the friendly crew, we were able to interact with the elephants, feed them and take photos with them. We were allowed to fill our little baskets three times to feed them and learned a few things about them. Also we saw how they make paper out of the elephant's poop! Afterwards we had a free drink at the cafe. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
