Genuinely not a tourist trap. Not only do you get a really close experience with the elephants, you also learn about their stories. The elephants seem to be well taken care of. Definitely worth the visit! Everything is part of the package, even photos taken by their photographers. They have great changing rooms, lockers, toilets, and shower facilities. Lunch was good and the holding area was well managed and clean. Unlike other tourist areas, they didn't have souvenir shops and sellers that get in your face to try to sell you something. Recommend folks to go and support them to help them fund for more elephant rescues!

Oh my good. What a fun day. Saw the great reviews on google and went for it. The staff was so kind (you could tell they are genuinely good people). And I just couldn’t stop laughing hanging out with the elephants. We started with the feeding. Once that was done, I thought maybe bathing with an elephant would be too much but that turned out to be so amazing. What a wonderful experience to be in the water and see they lying down and let you brush them and put mud on them. I even bought one of their shirts. And you can tell the animals are well cared for (they have a strict no chain, no riding policy). Definitely recommend this. If you are staying at patong beach, get a scooter for the e day and ride up here.

Amazing place! Highly recommend this if you visit Thailand. Staff are amazing, friendly and you can tell they love their job. Fascinating to learn about the elephants and their relationship with their lifelong Mahout (carer) and the life they live. How refreshing to visit a tourist destination with no souvenir shop, no extra cost for professional photos and a beautiful Thai meal included at the end as part of your tour. Plenty of opportunity to feed, bath and pat this beautiful creature on your experience. Best experience in Thailand.

Why i like this place, the elephants 🐘 are not for show, you don't get to ride them or be picked up by their trunk. These are rescues and the folks here take amazing care of them. Each elephant got her own caretaker, they are not in chains or shackles and is free to walk around. We got to care for them and I love how they care for the elephants 🐘 ❤. At the end of it all, they feed you, not a snack but a meal. Definitely recommend this place 👌

This experience was absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend a visit and will return the next time I'm in Phuket. It is very obvious that this is a true conservation facility. The guide was very good at explaining everything and she spoke very good English. There were a few photographers walking around taking pictures, but we took plenty ourselves. You start off with a brief, educational chat with the guide, then feed the elephants. You can, and will, take tons of pictures at this point. Next, we went to see the elephant enclosures that they stay in at night and when in need of medical care, along with the mahouts' (elephant caretakers) humble accommodations. After that, there's the mud bath with the elephants, the a wash in a pond, before finally heading to what could be best described as a car wash for elephants. Finally, you shower up and sit down for a great Thai lunch. To top it all off, the staff overheard that it was my daughter's birthday and they made her a birthday cake. I was honestly blown away by Green Elephant Sanctuary Park!

What a great experience. I love animals, especially elephants and it was so cool to come here and interact one on one with these beautiful creatures. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and for those of you that have a hard time with non English speaking accents that was not a problem at all. Very nice facility, the animals aren’t made to work or do anything they don’t want to do, it’s the reason I chose to come here, it’s an ethical animal sanctuary. I saw many people come in a taxi style van that picked them up from their hotel so I believe transportation is included in the price of entry. I personally drove myself to the location so I cannot speak any more about transportation provided. There are lockers available for storage of belongings, individual shower stalls available for changing clothes and for rinsing off once you are finished interacting with the elephants. A meal is included and provided to guests once the tour is complete. The food is prepared by the on site staff/family of staff and is very good. Though some may say being there once is enough, I would go again. Sure the dialogue may be the same, but how often does one get to enjoy an afternoon with these beautiful creatures? Definitely worth while to come here.

What a fantastic experience. The whole tour and the tour guides were very informative. So happy that many elephants get rescued at this sanctuary. Therefore I'm happy to pay the fees to help those animals. Well done Green Elephants Sanctuary 👍❤

Amazing experience at Green Elephant Sanctuary Park! Cannot recommend more. From the activities with the elephants to the knowledge and generosity of the staff, every penny was well worth it! They also provide a buffet dinner for us at the end of the tour. They also took photos of us with the elephants, they are all free of charge too. Aside from this, I have also experienced and encountered the nicest people here. I booked a place online a day before the experience, the platform was really easy to use and very convenient. I was travelling alone so I decided to scooter there, but unfortunately my scooter ran out of fuel just 1min before the park, I called them and they immediately picked me up to the park. The staff was so kind and considerate, not only did they offered to fuel up my scooter and help bring my scooter to the park, they didn't even charge me anything for that. I am so grateful, thankful and so amazed by everything here 🐘 💕

I totally recommend visiting this place, they need every support to rescue more elephants and give them a happy life 🙂 They are well taken care of here and also our experience was fantastic. We had several activities with the elephants and the fact that they are taking so many photos of us and uploading them for free is so amazing! They are so authentic and not asking for any donations at any point. Also offering a great buffet with delicious food and fruits. Thank you very much 🥰

Amazing experience! They take incredible care of the elephants and there is no barrier between you and these beautiful animals as you feed them and bathe with them. Lunch was delicious and they made us a lovely cake for our honeymoon. Everything was meticulously kept, clean and modern. Please support Green Elephant Sanctuary Park and the important work they are doing, as they go to great effort and expense to rescue these gentle creatures.

Wow! What an amazing experience. We loved every moment of it. This beautiful sanctuary is so well run, the elephants are extremely well looked after and extra time and attention is taken to ensure all visitors understand the hard work this sanctuary are doing to rescue, protect and care for these beautiful animals. They are also doing everything possible to educate the local community. The team are amazing, we felt very looked after - they even went out of their way to help my husband who wasn't well - even paying for a taxi to take us directly to see a doctor. A huge thank you to the office and management team (especially the lady with the blonde hair). Please let us know when we can send a donation to thank you. Excellent facilities, very clean and well run - showers, toilets etc. The lunch was great. Very tasty. And lots of cold soft drinks available. Very well organised. All in all the most wonderful day spent feeding, washing and bathing with the elephants. We absolutely loved it! Thank you. Highly recommended.

We booked our excursion to Green Elephant Park before arriving in Thailand. We were considering several different locations, but I'm so glad we settled on Green Elephant. They will pick you up at your hotel and transport you to and from the park, which is pretty common. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. The staff all speak great English, and are very accommodating. They explain everything in great detail, and you don't ever feel rushed like there are too many people. They give you an explanation of what they do there and how the park runs, how the rescue their elephants, etc. The time you get to spend with the elephants is amazing. Feeding them, taking pictures, playing in mud, and washing them is all such a wonderful experience. The elephants are well taken care of by the staff and their “mahouts”. I love that they provide professional pictures at no additional cost. The Thai buffet provided was also surprisingly good. Water is available throughout your excursion, as well. If you are looking in to an elephant experience in Phuket, I would strongly consider Green Elephant Sanctuary.

I can't even fully explain what an AMAZING experience this was! I was guarded at first, wondering if the elephants were treated humanely. But once you get there, you KNOW that these animals are very well cared for and loved! The Thai lunch buffet was delicious! The shower and changing rooms are spacious and modern. The lockers were very nice to have! Imagine getting into a watering hole and swimming with and bathing elephants! Definitely an experience of a life time!!! They also have photographers on site that get tons of pictures that are downloaded to their site and FREE for everyone. Our guide was so very knowledgeable and friendly! It was worth every penny! I just wish they accepted donations. I would gladly give them more!

The experience was absolutely phenomenal. The love, care and consideration for the elephants above all else is to be commended. The handlers are at all times mindful of their elephants and remove them from the situation if they are showing signs of being uncomfortable. The visit was highly informative and a genuinely amazing experience. Cannot recommend highly enough as an ethical elephant experience. On top of that, the Thai buffet was delicious!

This was incredible! The food, the staff and the way they take care of the elephants is so amazing. If you are looking for an Elephant full experience, this is the right place and your money will be worth it. You will feed them, learn about their history and get to interact with them without riding them. The place was so clean, showers with warm water and they even provided shampoo and body wash. Highly recommend!

From all the elephant sanctuary’s that I look this one was the only one that don’t let you ride the elephants and they had baby elephants and those where the main reasons I choose this place, they pick you up from your hotel and drop you off too, it is pricey but I think is worth the visit, is a really nice and clean place, they include the food on the price and the food was very good, the experience is just amazing if I go back to Thailand I wanna visit this place again!!! My kids loved it and more that they could wash the baby elephants is the best experience they had!!!! Love it!!!

I would give this sanctuary 10 stars if I could. Their mission and passion for the ethical treatment of elephants is so admirable. We were provided with a clean and convenient hotel pickup and drop off. The facility itself is beautiful, clean, and utterly calming. The entire staff is warm and helpful. They explained the history of the sanctuary, and told us the various personality quirks of each of the elephants. They know these creatures inside and out. The experience of feeding, bathing, and scrubbing the elephants is one I won’t soon forget. Definitely don’t be afraid to get dirty; you wouldn’t want to miss out on the mud bath, trust me. They have beautiful shower facilities waiting for you when you’re finished! After you’re finished and showered, they provide a delicious Thai buffet for lunch. All in all, my experience with Green Elephant Sanctuary Phuket was extremely positive. I feel lucky to have interacted with the elephants and staff.

What a fantastic tour. The ticket price at the time of visit is was 5,000THB. This includes everything, even the taxi transfer from and to the hotel. You start off with a brief chat about the place, you can have a cold drink, then you put your stuff in a locker (you can keep your phone to take pics, but they also have professional photographers, no extra cost for this). You feed the elephants and then you visit their overnight enclosure where you can learn more about them and ask questions. After this it’s time to get dirty - mud pond with the elephants where you cover them in soft mud and give them a good rub. After than, it’s down to the lake to wash the mud off. Finally you have the “car wash” where you get to brush the elephants under a huge shower. You then have the opportunity to shower yourself, they provide shower gel and towels. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes. You finish your trip with a super tasty buffet. The elephants are so well looked looked after. The tour is short but super rewarding. The guides are amazing and the elephants are sooo cute! No pressure selling, no tacky gift shops, just a genuinely beautiful experience. Loved it so so so much. Thank you

An ethical way to protect and conserve elephants. 15 elephants each with a mahout and a lovely enclosure for each animal. Fun fact : it costs 60 K USD to redeem an elephant from shows and logging activities. It’s hefty. Strictly no chains and no elephant riding. Transfer was fuss free and the tour ended off with a lovely nice Thai meal - the chicken nuggets and spring rolls are so good. A lovely afternoon spent with the elephants and definitely highly recommended !

I agonized over choosing a place to visit the elephants in Thailand. I did NOT want to accidentally support a place that was not genuinely helping rescue and improve the lives of these beautiful creatures. Green Elephant exceeded all hopes and expectations! Their handlers were respectful and gentle. They rarely even touched them. The elephants they rescued seemed happy and content, with clean spaces and lots of surrounding jungle. They had a large group of tourists the day we went, but kept it to about 4 humans per elephant, so it never felt like we were crowding them or stressing them out. The staff was lovely and helpful. The park being set inside a nature preserve made it gorgeous and as close to a natural habitat for elephants who have been rescued. We could see that the elephants, handlers AND handlers families were being cared for at this sanctuary. THIS is how responsible tourism connects both tourists and funding in the right way. A beautiful bonus was the hundreds of photos taken by the staff (and shared free of charge) so we could just enjoy the morning. Worth every penny! My kids ages 8-16 came away with a new appreciation and love for the elephants. Hoping places like this prosper so they can continue to rescue aging and abused elephants. A happy surprise was the quality of DELICIOUS lunch we had after our morning. So fresh and wonderful. Thank you Green Elephant!

What a great place to spend a morning in Phuket. They will pick you up early and drive you to the sanctuary. Its about 45 minutes from Karon Beach. When you arrive there is a covered table area with cold drinks. You are assigned to groups to limit the number of people interacting with the elephants at one time. They have change rooms, toilets, private hot showers, and free lockers. You get to feed the elephants first, then see where they and their handlers live. Then comes the mud bathing, swimming with, and washing of the elephants. Once you are finished, you can shower off and then get ready for the lunch. It is a freshly cooked Thai buffet. You get lots of time then make your way back to your van for the ride back to your hotel. Best family time that we spent on our trip.

Awesome experience. Do not go to the elephant riding businesses. Please visit this place and the experience is amazing. If you want to support anti animal cruelty and also have a once in a lifetime experience HIGHLY recommend this place! Note: As a personal touch they even found out we were on our honeymoon and poured us 2 glasses of champagne especially for us.

Excellent half day experience being so close to these big gentle giants. There are 15 elephants of varying ages all female. First you are told a bit about each one there characteristics and how fast they eat, what they like etc. Then its How to feed them and don't try to pick up food that they've dropped. There eye sight is not great and they will find it. No running or sudden movements. How to approach them and if you can touch them and if so where. You are then shown there enclosure were they are kept over night. They don't need a lot of sleep. Not like us. After feeding them it's on to the mud bath were you cover them in mud Then you get a little sand castle size bucket to wash them off. After getting soaked along with the elephants it in to the shower were you get brush and scrub them down. All the time your can/are having your photos taken if you don't won't to take your mobile with you. After this it's your shower time Big enough for two and excellent set up, with shower gel and shampoo provided. Then it's your turn to be fed, very good buffet type set up and you help yourself, soft drinks provided again. Only set up and opened just before the covid 19 pandemic. It is well worth it and I think we will be going again. Photos they take are uploaded to the cloud and its your date and time visited AM or PM to access them and down load as many times as you want. Normally uploaded 2 to 3 say after your visit.

My friends and I absolutely LOVED our visit to Green Elephant! Most importantly, I only wanted to support a sanctuary. I refuse to ride or watch elephants do unnatural things for entertainment. This place is perfect because the elephants aren't forced to do unnatural elephant tings. Please come here and support these elephants and not the attractions that allow you to ride or watch them perform. I would highly recommend this place and I would love to come back here before I leave Thailand!

this place is brilliant i really enjoyed it and it was worth the money. the elephants are very beautifully taken care of and they are breathtaking that they allow us to be in close proximity for a while, I have tears in my eyes when I write this, because I felt a lot of love from them, maybe even more than from people. Thank you to all the people who help these majestic animals to have a better life. I hope that we will live to see that there will be no more elephants living in captivity in Thailand!!! And thank you to the cooks for a great lunch, you are all amazing. I'll be back, I love you 💚🐘

Amazing interaction with these beautiful creatures. Keep in mind there are places where animals are abused to satisfy tourists with riding and lifting tourists on their trunk. It hurts the elephant and they are forced to do this. This place is not offering any of this so if you wanna choose a place which is actually supporting the elephants and not let social media impression be more important, choose this place. Lovely and helpful staff. Recommended to anyone with love for animals.

Very good experience here. It seems to me that the workers actually care about the elephants well being are not afraid to tell visitors to stop doing something if they don’t think the elephant will like it. The food at the end was better than expected and all of the staff were very pleasant. I would recommend anyone come here if they are looking for elephants that are treated with love and respect.

A very enjoyable afternoon interacting with the elephants. Comforting to see how well they are looked after and treated with great respect. After rubbing them with mud, feeding and washing them down, we were treated to a delicious meal. The elephants are in no way harmed and seem to enjoy the interaction. Pick up and drop off was very easy. I would highly recommend this place on your visit to Phuket.

If you are looking for an ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket then you have got to go here! The whole day was amazing, from picking you up to dropping you home, the food provided and the experience and interaction with the elephants. They educated you on the background of the elephants and how they buy they elephants to rescue them but also educate the families that own them to help prevent cruelty and mistreatment of these animals in the future. Each elephant had 1 owner which it interacted with and knew well and the carers knew when the elephant had had enough or if it wasn’t feeling like interacting that day they wouldn’t make it and would leave it to roam free in the jungle which I loved! All round a fantastic day and loved all the amazing work this sanctuary are doing

What a fantastic place, it was always my dream to meet elephants and this place made them come true. Had a great morning getting to know them, feeding them, covering them in mud and swimming with them in the fresh water, then giving them a shower in a massive car wash. The place is clean and well kept, the staff are lovely and they love there elephants. The food you get before you leave is awesome. They don’t try and sell you anything and there is no gift shop, all they ask is you give them a Good review, well that’s easy as the place is great. I went back the next week again just because I loved how happy the elephants where. My dream is now to open a place like this where elephants can live happy ever after.

(Translated by Google) Magical place..Welcome and very friendly staff. French speaking guide. Very good lunch. Here no climb on the back of the elephants which are not made for that. Feeding, mud bath and shower with the elephants who love it !!. I highly recommend. Ethical park to choose absolutely. (Original) Lieu magique..Accueil et personnel tres sympa. Guide parlant Français. Dejeuner tres bon. Ici pas de grimpette sur le dos des elephants qui ne sont pas fait pour ca. Nourrissage, bain de boue et douche avec les elephants qui adorent ça !!. I can say, with 100% honesty, a visit here changed my life. The care and love these elephants are shown reminded me that there are still good people in the world, despite the horrible conditions that some elephants must endure in Thailand. The staff here gives their all (and more) to these elephants. I am so thankful places like this and people like the staff here exist. On top of their deep love for the elephants, they are all so kind and compassionate to the guests. I felt like family from the moment we were picked up (which is included in the price of the experience). The entire day was straight out of a dream. The sanctuary is large, clean and well maintained. The experience includes a facility tour, meeting and feeding the elephants, massaging them with mud, bathing them and then rinsing them off. in a giant shower After the elephant encounter, you are treated to a lovely lunch. It was worth way more than the price paid. We made a donation to the elephants at the end and the staff was so gracious and thankful. The showers you can use were clean and spacious - and I was very thankful for them after all the mud. You will get dirty, but it's so worth it. There are not enough words to properly describe how amazing this day was. If you are in Thailand, PLEASE do your research and support sanctuaries like this. As visitors to this magnificent country, it is our duty to help put an end to the horrific animal practices still happening there. Thank you to everyone who works at Green Elephant, for the care you give to these animals, and to hosting such an amazing experience!

If only more places could be like this. The facilities were a very pleasant surprise, so clean and first rate. The food which is served is just superb. Absolutely fantastic place!! The Elephants are really well looked after and cared for. This is a real ethical sanctuary for the Elephants and each individual elephant has a permanent carer. Our guide was so knowledgeable and passionate about the project. Feeding, cleaning and showering the Elephants is the most unbelievable experience…. and they love it!! I didn’t get many photos as they have photographers there the whole time taking shots(which are free). The showers and toilet areas are really clean and to top it off you receive a fantastic Thai buffet cooked fresh on the day of visit. This trip is an absolute must, what an experience!!!

We had the most incredible time. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. It was fascinating to learn all about the elephants and their carers. Throughout the experience, I had plenty of opportunities to interact with the elephants, from feeding bathing and patting them. Unforgettable! The sanctuary also provides their own photographers, pictures will be available a few days after your visit at no extra charge. The tour includes a delicious Thai meal and drinks. (Vegan option available) They provide lockers and they have spotless showers and toilets. Without a doubt, this was the best experience we have ever had.

So much hands-on time with the elephants! This is a smooth and tight running facility. My favorite part was getting to interact with the elephants in many ways. Getting under the showers at the end was a perfect way to get soaked and cool off. The showers and bathrooms were clean and beautiful. They brought us a surprise cake for our honeymoon, so incredibly sweet of the staff.

Amazing morning at the elephant sanctuary. Was so cool to be able to interact with the elephants the way we did. Feeding them some bananas, giving them a mud massage, splashing them with water and giving them a shower. Also a great educational tour, they show you where the elephants sleep, and teach you about where the elephants came from, and how the sanctuary are giving them a better life. A yummy lunch was also included. Bathroom facilities were very nice and clean. Very worthwhile experience.

Could not recommend more if I tried. Not knowing much about the elephant industry here in Thailand (Bliss in ignorance hey?) and in general having no care for this sort of activities with animals, this experience was eye opening and incredibly wholesome. Being close to the elephants, learning about their needs and way of life in the sanctuary is a truly valuable lesson. Do yourself (and some elephants) a favour a pay this great people a visit. You will enjoy every second of it.

What a wonderful experience to take part in today. My partner and I was blown away with the whole adventure we had with all the elephants and having the privilege to be part of their safe home they live in. This is an experience you must do. From the point of arrival to the end you will not be disappointed. Don’t waste your time or give money to the poor elephants you see chained on the side of the road. These poor elephants need to be saved. And by not participating you are actually helping them. This is one experience in Phuket not to be missed. Add this to your must dos 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘

This was such an amazing experience and I am glad we chose this sanctuary. they provided transfer from and to our hotel and very good dinner after the activities, plus water and soft drinks were available during the whole tour. The staff was nice, spoke very well English and really took care of us . They explained how the sanctuary works - basically all elephants here are saved either from riding tourist stations or from hard labor in woods. You can see that elephants are really taken care of and are happy. All the activities were amazing, we got to feed them snacks, play in mud and water and it was a lot of fun. Cherry on top was that stuff was taking professional pictures for free! I would definitely recommend this sanctuary as they are really kind to the elephants and taking care of them

Had the best experience this morning! Feeding, bathing and washing with the elephants 🐘 adults and little baby ones too! It was amazing! Couldn’t recommend visiting here enough the work they do is outstanding and you can see how happy these elephants are now they’ve been rescued from such awful backgrounds and people! Not only do you get to spend hands on one on one time with the elephants you’re educated about what they do and don’t like, they’re previous lives and the horrible opposite side to the use of elephants within tourist attractions on the island. The facilities are great! Clean toilets, showers food area, tasty and fresh food served afterwards and the guides are very friendly and informative and really do care about the welfare of these beautiful animals! If you’re wanting to see the elephants please please come here don’t ride them or give money to people who are going to exploit them for amusement!!

We thought this park was great!! We were sensitive to any elephant abuse or mistreatment. We had heard this was a good park to visit. You get a very intimate encounter with the elephants. You can feed them and touch them, and get in the water with them. We didn’t see any chains or indication of mistreatment. Highly recommend this park!

Absolutely amazing experience. Well worth the money paid. Elephants are well looked after and well fed. Never chained up or rode on. As part of the experience you get feed them, take a mud bath and give them a scrub in the fresh water showers. A true elephant sanctuary for rescued elephants

The animals here are treated ethically and with so much compassion which means of course no riding. The mahouts and their families are provided for by the sanctuary. All the staff are so kind and professional - just all in all a great place interact with and learn about elephants in Thailand and some of the difficulties they are currently facing. You can book a tour online or even from your hotel concierge in Phuket.

(Translated by Google) It was so so beautiful !!! My husband and I had informed ourselves beforehand and were looking for something where we could be sure that the elephants were fine. Because unfortunately there are so many facilities where the elephants are simply tied to the leg and then have to wait for a tourist to come and ride them (which is really cruelty to animals). We quickly came across this elephant park. You feel comfortable with the login, you can see that. You could get very close to the animals. The elephants were absolutely relaxed. We received a lot of information and took unique photos. So everyone who is close to the heart of the elephant can only recommend this tour. In February 2020 she also had a very small baby (6 weeks old and sweet as sugar). Insanely great, absolutely recommendable. A perfect morning !! Wahnsinnig toll, absolut empfehlenswert. Ein perfekter Vormittag!!

(Translated by Google) The price is very good for what you get. You will be picked up from your hotel and driven there. Easy and uncomplicated. It is clean and convenient. The program is a lot of fun and is a must on every visit to Thailand. The elephants are doing very well, they feel good and are not kept as farm animals. After the program there is a very good buffet with something for everyone. You can then take a shower. Sanitary facilities are very clean. Kudos to all the park staff. Wow, wow, and WOW!! What a phenomenal experience. The highest of praise to all the workers and mahoots that make this sanctuary for rescue elephants such a safe and happy environment. I felt very privileged to spend time with these beautiful creatures. It really upsets me to think human beings can exploit them and treat them so cruelly. Please go and visit this sanctuary as your money helps the sanctuary to thrive and survive.

This was by far the best part of my 16 day trip to Phuket! The elephants are well taken care of and the interaction with them was amazing. I learned quite a bit from my guide, forgive me as I cannot remember her name but she was European and great! I was in awe to see them in their natural state! The shuttle was on time to pick me up and they also provided lunch after the tour which was phenomenal! So much so that I didn't bother eating dinner! If you are looking to interact and be educated this is the place!

Visiting here was the highlight of our 2018 Thailand trip. Close, personal interaction with the elephants is an incredible experience. The caretakers love these animals and treat them like family, it’s wonderful to see. We were able to feed the elephants, play with them in the mud bath and give them a little hose off with a little back scratching! Both adult and baby elephants came out to play! The tour was finished off with some yummy food, which was a nice surprise. Very clean facility and friendly staff. Worth every bit of money and more. The group sizes were small enough that we felt like we had a good amount of time with the animals. Do not visit an elephant park that allows you to ride the animals, they do not treat them well. The Green Elephant Sanctuary is the only place to go!

This was a truly magical experience, something I'm sure I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. Granted, I love animals and elephants have a special place in my heart, and I always wanted to be in close contact with them... but this is much, much more I ever hoped it would be. Here's a summary of the event: you'll be picked up at your hotel by a very professional and timely driver; you're greeted by knowledgeable and extremely polite guides and offered a refreshment while the elephants are readied for the event; after a short wait you'll have your interaction with the elephants (more on this later); in the middle of your elephant interaction, you will be shown the enclosures where the elephants live, as well as an explanation of the mission of the sanctuary (btw, the tour guide is fantastic -- so informative and funny!); finally, you'll be offered a very a-roi lunch to end the tour while you still wonder if the things you just experienced are real. :) As for the interaction with the elephants... Right now they have 12 elephants of different ages, including a 5 y/o and a super-adorable 2 y/o. You will first have a chance to feed them their favorite candies (sugar cane and bananas). You can feed as many elephants as you want, but beware because you can end up falling in love with one of them (just like I did)! Then it's bath time for them, and you're invited to give them a mud treatment, followed by a bath to clean off their mud (my favorite elephant loved laying sideways and splashing... she's a character). Finally, you will shower with them while you scrub them with a broom. In total, the experience lasts about 4 hours (including the drive back and forth). That's it, that's my summary... or, at least, the part I can describe in words, because the emotions I experienced can't be easily described, they have to be felt. If you come to Phuket (you should!), please visit the Green Elephant Sanctuary Park. You won't regret it.

We chose this place after my wife did some research into elephant sanctuaries in Phuket area. We are so glad we picked this one. First, the staff are very passionate about rehabilitating these previously abused animals. They are knowledgeable and treat the animals with respect. Second, the experience itself is unforgettable. You feed them bananas and sugar cane and interact with them. Next, you give them a mud bath and then you take a shower and scrub them down. Finally the food was awesome.

What an experience!! The staff is so sweet and you can definitely see how much love and care they have for the elephants there. We learned about every elephant individually and then got to do a mud bath and 2 separate washes with them. The facility is super nice and everything was so put together and clean! And the buffet at the end of the tour was amazing. Thanks so much for such a unique experience☺️

This place was just fabulous. The staff are amazing, funny and you could tell how much they loved the animals and what they do. There was no scrambling to get time with the elephants, staff made sure everyone had time with them. Although we did not have children with us the staff were very attentive to the children on the experience. The facilities were pristine and super, super clean. There were complimentary drinks along the way and there were staff photographers taking photos (not in an annoying way) to capture things for you so you could keep you phone safe and dry and the best part all photos they take are FREE! You just download them! I thought overall this was a fantastic experience that was excellent value...and I cannot rate it highly enough!!!!!

Hands down the most amazing experience of our lives. This sanctuary stands for protecting and rescuing elephants from being ridden and used for personal entertainment. They explain how they save the elephants, how much it's costs to rescue and so so much more. We got to feed the elephants and scrub them with mud, wash them and meet them, all with no chains, no ropes and respect for the animals and their Mahouts.

There's nothing not to love about this place. You can tell they really do care for the elephants, the facilities are impeccable and the staff are lovely. Even the food was great! We had visited some other elephant parks in the past and after reading about the treatment that goes on behind the scenes thought we'd never go again. However Green Sanctuary is definitely the exception to this rule, there's no chaining of the animals, no rides and the elephants have great living conditions. Visitors are only permitted to feed and bathe the elephants in supervised conditions. We took our six year old son who is usually far more interested in YouTube or screen time and he absolutely loved it. Highly recommended for everyone including families with young children.

Really nice elephant sanctuary. Nice to see the elephant walking around and been taking care off. Mud pool and Elephant shower are really cool! Nice and clean facilities and also food is good. Two little negative points are: A small tour of their jungle would be really nice to see. I would have expected real Thai food but was more like European Thai with no chili :-( Everything else is really good!

What an experience! We were a little sceptical at first as there were so many people in our group, about 35 people, and it all seemed very commercial. However it was anything but, there were 13 elephants to go around, including a baby and it's mother. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the elephants seemed very happy, it felt like a round the clock day spa for the elephants. The food wasn't anything special but good enough to eat. Highly recommend, it was so special, and felt almost intimate experience with the elephants. The feeding, the mud rubbing, the bathing, and the showering was so cool!

The Green Elephant Sanctuary was a wonderful experience. The elephants are treated extremely well. The shuttle pickup was extremely comfortable. The food was fantastic. On site, there is one of the best outdoor bathroom setups I have seen. They clean the toilets after every single use, and the showers have soap and shampoo. The encounter was short (~2 hours), but it didn't feel rushed or that it needed to be longer.

I've been visiting Thailand for 25 years, often passing through Phuket. I've always avoided the elephant tourist spots, the stories I had heard always turned me off. The team at Green Elephant Sanctuary can tell you more about it all more elegantly than I. They are passionate about their role in saving Thailand's treasures, they show that passion in how they treat their elephants, those that care for them 24/7 and us who visit. They are knowledgeable, true conservationists who are also striving to protect a significant part of Thai culture. Excellent organisation, amazing facilities, food was yummy, they even catered to a last minute gluten free request. And....Elephants!! Also really cheap, given transfers to and from, drinks, a huge lunch and.... Elephants!

We feed them, gave them a mud bath then a shower. Elephants seemed really happy and well looked after. Great photos taken by staff free of charge and uploaded to file on FB to access. We ended the tour with a beautiful buffet lunch provided by the staff. Very clean bathroom facilities including hot showers free of charge. AMAZING!!! A+

It was a wonderful experience. The elephants are treated well and not pressured into anything. Everything is well documented by the photographers so you can really enjoy the experience. The food was delicious and there was plenty of drink.

If you want to be close to elephants, this is the place! You get to pet them, feed them and bathe with them. After you are being served delicious food and through it all they take your pictures which you get to download for FREE! The facilities are SUPER nice and the people working there are simply amazing!!!!! Five stars and a heart from me, definitely recommend and would do it again!!!!!

(Translated by Google) Too many visitors at a time, there must be less to enjoy talking with elephants (Original) Слишком много посетителей за один раз, должно быть поменьше, чтобы насладиться общением со слонами

Wow! Just wow! Truly one of the most amazing experiences my sister and I have ever had! I could go on and on about what a special day this was for the both of us and how amazing the employees and guide were but that would take about 2 days to write. A synopsis is, this is an absolute MUST! For starters, we were greeted and accompanied the whole time by the most amazing woman, Montara, who is so knowledgeable and kind. She was able to share each elephant's story, answer all of my questions about the park, backgrounds, history, etc. Such a treat to have met her! From there we were able to feed the elephants, give them mud baths, and a final shower while interacting with the amazing Mahuts (the caretakers for the elephants). In the end, we were graced with a delicious Thai meal cooked by the staff and displayed so beautifully! Thank you Green Elephant Sanctuary for one of the most memorable experiences - I will say this forever, it is a special space where everyone should visit once in their lives. Thank you!

Such a great experience. The elephants were looked after very well and there was plenty there to interact with and the staff were lovely. The food provided was delicious with plenty to go around! It was all organised so well

The park is very nice and the staff is even nicer! Everyone gets broken up into 2 groups to allow fewer people per elephant, so more feeding and more fun for everyone! They are very informative on history and care, all while being able to feed, splash water, rub mud, and bathe the elephants! The photographers are very attentive as well, making sure to get a wide variety of photos as well!

Transport to and from your hotel included in the ticket price. Elephants are clearly very well looked after and they plan the morning or afternoon session brilliantly so you're never sitting waiting (apart from at the beginning to start). This was one of my favourite parts of the trip. Just prepare to get messy and very wet!

You can tell that the elephants are well looked after here. Well fed, they can roam the place. They do not rush you either and you have an hour with the elephants. Came here after the other place was full. Didn’t need a booking.

👍 There were no guards in the temple, so I went in and looked around. Three dogs barked and pulled out their teeth and suddenly ran towards them. The dogs seemed to weigh 30 kg. I defended it with an umbrella and the dogs went back, but it was really dangerous. There was no one around, so I couldn't e...
