This hotel is beyond our expectation in term of value of the money spent. The hotel is quite old and decor is dated but it has a very nice touch to it, especially its location. We booked as we want to stay on the corner of Karon beach. The staff was very nice upgrade our room to suite with bar and full size fridge. Recommend this hotel for its location and the value.

The location is directly on the beach which is lovely. The hotel is old and needs updating. There is no elevator but was fine. The front desk is not trust worthy which is terrible. We asked them how much for a taxi to Karon Viewpoint and back they called our room and said they booked it for us 1200 bhat, it's 10 min away. I said I just wanted to know how much cancel it. I wanted to compare it to Grab. I wound up booking a Grab to take us around the island for 4 hours for 1400 bhat. You should be able to trust the front desk people to guide you, not rip you off. Would not recommend this place.

You’re paying for the view, which is simply amazing. They don’t allow outside food so you will have to sneak to order food, but after seeing the ants march into my room I understood why they don’t want you to bring in outside food. The facility is older but I see them working on it, just understand when you come here that it is an older property so be prepared the things that come along with that. The view and beach access is unmatched. I enjoyed my stay.

This resort is perfect if you're looking for a quiet adult trip. The whole vibe is great. Our entire stay was enjoyed the oceanfront view (which is viewable from some rooms & from the pool) and a bonus is that the beach that the resort is located on is quiet and not filled with tourists. Just be sure to check weather conditions and when it's too windy and unsafe to swim - don't!

Loved the location, right on the beach and walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. We got upgraded to a suite, the staff is wonderful. The hotel looks and feels old, but can’t beat the location. The breakfast is very average.

Love this resort. The staff people there are excellent. Food is great, including breakfast. It's directly on the beach. Very private beach, clean beach and clean hotel too. One thing to mention is NO ELEVATOR for elderly people. You will still have to walk up stairs. We like the swim-up bar, so cool. Very good view of the sea and beach from the room. If you are having dinner at the hotel, around 8 or 9 pm, the restaurant next to the resort has a fire show which is pretty cool and you can see it from the Beyond resort restaurant.

The room smells like people smoked inside it, the smell stayed even we opened windows and air conditioning, the toilet and the water in the bathroom was dark and unclear most of the time, the breakfast was less than basic comparing to other hotels we stayed in phuket, the price are super overrated and the value for money is very low. The hotel is on the beach with direct access to the beach and that what maybe make it somehow attractive to tourists, but this consideration for me was a mistake because there are a lot more options to choose who are also close to the beach.

Great locations. Friendly staff. A good Beach restaurant. Location is excellent. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores nearby and 10 minutes walk to Kata night market. Room is average and could be cleaner but still was an enjoyable stay

Convenient location to shops and restaurants. Great beach front resort, clean, rooms serviced daily, friendly and caring staff, yummy breakfast. The ability to organise your tours from the resort, including pick up. Highly recommend and would happily return.

Great hotel with a sublime location at the end of Karon beach, there is a snorkeling spot in the waters outside the hotel aswell. The staff was nice and friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. The rooms was cleaned everyday and there is a safe with a combination lock free of charge.

We have just finished our 8 night stay and we don’t want to go home!! Absolutely amazing Resort . The view from the rooms are fabulous. All of the staff are courteous and helpful. The street the resort is on is full of restaurants and shops so you have everything you could need in walking distance. The buffet breakfast every morning was delicious. An unforgettable holiday. We will be coming back every year from now on, just loved it ❤️

Easy journey by taxi and air from Chiang Mai. Checked in, then beach bar for a nightcap. Pricey drinks, but worth it. Looking forward to a sea view tomorrow morning 🌅

Best location on the beach. Great value for money. Breakfast spread is not huge but it is good. I am pregnant and they obliged to change our room near the staircase which is very nice on their part. No escalator in the resort but there is just one floor up or down which is easy. The view from the room is just amazing and plenty of restaurants closeby. Hoping to come back in high season time

Not sure where to start. Positives. Great location and that's about where it ends. Imagine at check in it feels like your being read the riot act. Poor maintenance. Quick paint jobs over a lot of water damage. Gradens haven't been touched in months. Just a mower would suffice. No Happy Hour! Despite our room information book inviting us to happy hour. Got to the bar and was told it had been cancelled. But you could still buy a beer at 10 times the price. No music. No vibe. Just depressing. On the other side was a massage hut that has been deserted looking ugly, dirty and rubbish. Breakfast would have to be the worst I've ever experienced. Did not change over 6 days. No chicken. No ham. No bacon. Get your own additions for a omelet. Before for you enter breakfast you are greeted with 6 signs saying. Don't bring food, Don't take food blah blah blah. Great way to be treated.. Pastries were stale. Juice was cordial. You were looked at on how much food you took. Whilst eating poorly trained staff sat on your shoulder and couldn't take your plate quick enough and eagle eyed you trying to eat and relax. I stopped going after 3 days. Dim and dark. Saving power? No lights? Coffee is slop. Staff look depressed and dis interested. I'm tipping there is a very bad middle, high management culture. Aircon was hopeless. Never below 22 despite the setting being at 18. I'm tipping the main system is set at this. Another save money initiative at a cost to guests. While at the pool try and relax to a pressure cleaner cleaning rocks. Surly all this maintenance could have been completed whilst shut down. 1 key so aircon turns off while your out. I cannot recommend this hotel. If the Kata Group need help in culture building, manners and how to put the guest first. Please reach out.

Although the resort is a bit outdated and in need of renovation, it is still a good value for money and probably the best location. The view is simply breathtaking, overlooking Karon beach and the Andaman sea. Karon beach is cleaned daily, big, cheap coconuts, and has new fancy beach club next to hotel. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, repetitive, Asian corner is not the best, pastry is dry, and there was no variety. Rooms were simple, but clean, only problem was with uncomfortable bed pillows. Staff was helpful and friendly, including cleaning and room service. Overall, a good 4-star hotel with excellent location.

We always stay at Beyond Resort Karon and have just recently come home after a 3 week stay this year. As always Ling Ling and her team look after us. All the staff are always helpful and friendly. Location on the beach is fantastic and having a No Children policy is a bonus. Room is clean and comfortable and good access to the pool from the ground floor rooms. The hotel is in a good location with access to shops and restaurants. It is a little quiet still there with lack of tourists, but slowly everything is starting to open. In the time we were there we could see businesses open from start to end. The hotel has a nice restaurant overlooking the beach or you could order room service to your room/patio. We will definately be back next year and hopefully for longer. Thank you to Ling Ling and all the staff for another great stay.

Decide for yourself - I wouldn't book this again! When showering - regardless of the temperature - every once in a while and without any warning, suddenly cookingly hot water hit me for about two seconds and burned me. The Hotel seems to know and put a sticker on the wall, instead of fixing the problem... I think this alone says a lot about how things are handled here. Besides this our stay was flawed by so many things. Just to name a few: Ants in the bed and room. Ants and little birds at the breakfast buffet, eating the stuff off the buffet that you were supposed to get.. Sliding doors to the patio wouldn't close correctly leaving space for insects to come inside. The shower head wasn't working properly. The curtains were mouldy. Open electricity at the poolside - as in the room ... things are noticed but not fixed properly... The lounge chair was partly broken, not maintained. The A/C was so loud we couldn't hear the sea anymore. One of the worst: the A/C seemed to suck air from the kitchen or so. So every once in a while, e.g. at 6am in the morning, the room start to stink like a canteen! Not a single day the wifi worked on the patio at all. In the room it only worked sometimes and within certain spots, e.g. it regularly did close to the sofa but it wouldn't near the TV. What? ... All in all... I wouldn't even stay here again for free. I am sorry to say, but that's how it is.

Hotel situated in a great place couldn't fault the room or the service. Staff were exceptionally good nothing to difficult if asked. Certainly stay again

Fabulous week here with friends. Resort was very quiet still as low season so we enjoyed a lovely break away from the chaos of Patong area. All staff are helpful and very friendly.

Hotel is great location on the beach. All staff is lovely and food is amazing. We have been here also before and that's the reason why we are here again😎. Only one negatives think was in the bar, they hadn't Bangkok vodka and I really want see it in next time.

Nice location on an amazing beach (Karon) with every room overlooking the ocean. However considering the price of this hotel it was definitely not worth it. The up-keeping of the rooms are not on par with other hotel options at the same price. Our room was filled with ants and simple requests such as water bottles were met with confusion. We stayed in 4 different hotels during our Thailand visit and this hotel was where we stayed for Phuket and it was the only one I regretted. Breakfast buffet was nice overlooking the ocean.

Beyond is a lovely resort. The location is fantastic as you are right on the beach. Our room is a good and practical size for a couple. Also, the air conditioning works a charm. The staff here at Beyond have been nothing but pleasant and extremely helpful. We have our own car and parking at beyond has been quite easy especially with the security helping us get onto the main Street, they would either stop traffic or inform us when it’s safe to pull out. Highly recommend staying here.

The rooms are rather small but the location and view is fantastic for the price. The rooms face the ocean and beach is at walking distance. They also have a pool bar which is awesome. Supermarkets and massage places nearby as well as restaurants and eateries. The biggest disappointment are the waiters serving the buffet breakfast which starts at 6.30 am and lasts till 10 am. Come 10 o clock they make you feel explicitly that you've overstayed. The cleaning starts immediately and they even take the plate from underneath, clear the salt pepper shaker, mats, table no and so on.. We stayed there for 3 days and requested for Hot tea in the morning. Day 1 milk was served cold, day 2 milk was served cold, we politely requested for hot milk which was served but the staff seemed disgruntled, day 3 milk was room temperature. They school you on where to keep the cup, how one should always wear a mask to a buffet but fail to provide one in case a patron is without one.
