The most famous and crowded beach of Phuket. To be honest when you will first enter this country and may visit Phuket first, there is a huge chance that you will stay here first. So in that case ot would be the first beach that you will visit in this country. And in that case you will really like this beach. Beach is very clean with slow steady waves. So if you want to bath amd enjoy to the fullest you may need to walk a bit far into the sea. You will also get many water sports activities to do here at very reasonable price. Once the sun will be down this place will come alive. A great place to roam around at night. Also the famous Bangla road of Phuket (walking street) is just opposite of this beach. There are so many restaurants and bars across this beach at all type of cost. While comparing with other beaches of Phuket it may lack in the scenic beauty department, but in terms of enjoyment and livelihood. You will mainly find foreigners here and very least amount of locals But during the covid days that situation might have changed. To be honest it's really that type of a place where you can spend hours with a bottle of beer and gazing the sea. So top place for that. The hotels nearing to this may cost a bit on the higher side but if you move a bit iside like 5-7 minutes from the beach, you will get many cheap accommodation options too. So you will definitely enjoy quite a lot here.

The beach is nice but does not compare to many other destinations in SEA. The city is smelly with no other redeeming qualities than the party scene which is mostly skuzzy. Unless you want to drink your face off or get a Thai gal this place should be skipped.

Patong beach , one of the world’s famous beaches. During the pandemic , less visitors here , you can enjoy this Stunning sandy beach with crystal clear blue water. There’s a lot of vendors but they’re not pushy or aggressive at all. Chair with umbrella rental was 200 baht for 6 hours. Jetski was 600 baht per 30 mins ( quite expensive in my opinion). Food, massages, snacks, drinks, beach toys for kids are all available. BTW , i have 1 big suggestion about the transportation. If u can drive , please rent the car from the airport or stay nearby the beach. Otherwise , u will experience the high taxi fares here and its very overpriced. $$$$$.

Above my expectation. I thought it would be too crowded, but no. The sand is white and so soft. While there is many shops for water sport and umbrella, you can certainly sun bath on your own without spending any money.

Patong Beach is placed in the heart of the nightlife district and shopping district of Phuket Thailand. You can do parasailing, JetSki, catch a long tail to freedom beach or just lays around under the umbrella while people come around serve your drinks coconut juice fresh fruit. The water is beautiful nice and warm

The beach here was probably beautiful 20 years ago but now overcrowded with jet ski and parasailing vendors. The night life is pretty amazing but definitely not of the family friendly variety. Careful of petty theft. Notwithstanding the sunsets are beautiful.

Great beach for swimming! There are many activities but they do not look safe. The beach is nice, you can find nearby many restaurants and cafes. There is also Many salons that promote Mani and pedi, massage for customers. Near The coffe club , there was many show for children to collect money to continue their education. Patong beach area is a must visit and it has sth for everyone

One of the best public beaches i enjoyed , in spite of that its not that luxurious , but the view of the sea , waves , sunset, pays off for any thing else by the way, good for both swimming and surfing and loads of water activities. Be sure to bargain the prices for any activity at the beach and check out various tours right along the beach road.

Bit overcrowded but very windy beach. The best thing is wind during evening combined with sound of gushing sea waves - really soothing end for day and a sober start for the party in the alongside Bangla market

When it comes to breathtaking natural beauty, this beach surpassed all my expectations. With its picturesque coastline adorned by lush trees, pristine soft sands, and crystal-clear waters, it was a paradise that left an indelible impression on my soul. I can confidently say that this was the most beautiful beach I have ever visited. Despite being a popular destination, the beach was thoughtfully designed to accommodate a large number of visitors without feeling overcrowded. The sitting arrangements were strategically placed to ensure everyone had their own space to relax and enjoy the panoramic views. Thrill-seekers could indulge in paragliding, soaring high above the sparkling waters and taking in awe-inspiring views of the coastline. For those seeking an aquatic adventure, jet skiing was the perfect choice that is available there.

This beach can get crowded and you will constantly have people offering to sell items and excursions while you try to relax but it’s a decent beach nonetheless. It doesn’t cost much to get a beach chair and umbrella. The beach is pretty clean with soft white sand. Sunset from this beach is perfect.

Great beach but water is not top of the line. Sand is nice and good incline when entering and stepping out of water. Cheap sunbeds 200 B and its possible to order drinks and coconuts on beach. Overall a good experience. It is crowded but not overcrowded and not the clearest water.

It’s fun to be here but also kinda trashy. The views are pretty nice. At least it’s fun walking around here but I imagine it’s more fun when you’re drinking. Wouldn’t stay here for too long.

It's probably one of the best beaches in the world for easy access to food, play, hotels, and shade. The beach is about 3km long and flat with a shaded walkway running its entirety!

1.7 Mile long beach filled with tourist and so many water activities. Water is not the clearest or cleanest here. Best sunset view. Can go to other beaches for swims etc. Just sit here around sunset, order a drink and have fun. Later on get into Patong's nightlife.

I always and always visit Phuket as a solo trip, So many time I came back to travel and enjoyed with nice place, nice culture there. I always rent a scooter and ride around visit a lots of places. Peoples there are so kindness, friendly and nice because as a solo trip, I sometimes don't know thins, so I can ask local people there about how to go, where or nice restaurants. I feel peaceful, rest there. THAT is a reason why I always choose phuket for the rest place.

This is a really fun beach to stay at! I came here just a week ago during my stay at Phuket. Near the beach, there are many food options to choose from and even some souvenir shops which I checked out. Since this is a public beach, its quality exeeded my expectations. The sand is very clean and the water is almost crystal clear which isn’t something you’d normally encounter at a public beach. They have water activites here guided by professionals, such as: Jetskis, parasailing and the banana boat. I went on the Jetski and it was super fun going around the clear, unpolluted water of the seas surrounding Thailand. If you ever decide to visit this amazing place, make sure to bargain with the salesmen as it will help you save tens or even hundreds of Baht. Just next to the beach, there are many massage places which Thailand is famous for— so I had to check those out. The only thing which bothered me a bit were the prices those make up for the amount of fun I had during my visit here. Since this beach is so clean for a public beach, if you are staying at Phuket I would definitely recommend coming here as the weather is usually quite good! This place is definitely in my favourite top 10 beaches I’ve ever visited my whole life! Overall, I would give this beach a solid 7.5/10.

One of the busiest and crowded beach of Phuket all thanks to bangla street. Beach can get crowded and you will constantly have people offering to sell activities and other items. The beach is pretty clean with soft white sand. Sunset from this beach is just amazing.

Super cozy beach. Lots of sunbeds and areas with shadow where you can lay your towel. Super safe, you can leave your stuff unattended without a problem. Blue and cristal clear water with areas for swimming or water sports. There are walking vendors from which you can buy a snack like could coconut, ice cream, boiled corn, popcorn etc- but they are not louzy and insistent - so a big big like for that. Also if you look for something more consistent to eat there are eras form place place with loca this food & fruits.

Great place, always crowded Don’t worry, it’s long .. you’ll find a place to enjoy :) It's wonderful to stay here as crowd is lovely and party place is always available here. Keep in mind this part of island is not made to relax. If you need a quiet place, STAY AWAY and still you can visit Patong during the day.

Amazing beach .clean and tidy goes on for miles...lots if people use it..the views are amazing shops and cafes and bars and tourist shops all along the way..sports and activities along the beach..random sellers go up and down trying to get you to buy souviorers and food..so just be careful..water spouts dotted along to rinse sand off..and gym equipment that's free to use dotted along beach..lots of things happening ...but the water was lovely and warm..I managed with my walking frame to get on and off the beach ok..so if you got pushchair it should be OK to..sand was quite compact in most places and just the odd bit of soft sand..

The beach itself is actually quite nice, but not a family place or place to relax. It basically a circus on the sea. Every 5 seconds someone will approach you trying to sell something, jets skis, drugs or parachute on boat. While place is very crowded and just not nice. Go to see it for sure but don't expect much. At least there was a nice sunset.

Being a must destination see destination I found the beach itself beautiful, however what surrounds it is not so great. Being a family man,I found the constant harrassment by vendors offensive, not to say I reject it, but every 2 metres that's to much. For single people who look for nightlife and buzz this is the place is for you, but for families I would suggest Kata beach or Kata Noi beach for beach going.

A very nice free beach for all, family friendly. Among so many activities you can do. As the time I visited, swimming is not recommended due to the nature of the sea in this season. The beach has red flags but of course it’s up to you to decide to swim, if you have kids PLEASE NEVER LET THEM GO TO THE WATER ALONE.

Even during the low season, the beach was very beautiful tho. Very fine sand, nice breeze, and warm seawater. Visiting in May might have a high chance of strong wind and heavy rain. However, during our trip the beach was very beautiful but the sea was with very strong waves. There were not many tourists which was good to be not too crowded. Beach chairs for rent are available. Would love to visit Patong again next time.

Not sure if it’s due to the weather or sun, the water seems so green and not as good as I expected. Plenty of umbrella seats at THB100 each , plenty of people will come around one by one offering food, drinks, snacks, souvenir as well as water activities which is ok as you don’t need to walk and just sit & relax (if not too hot). There is a place for cold water shower for THB10 each person but just like in a disable toilet with no racks or shelf.

Patong Beach is a popular tourist destination known for its lively atmosphere, stunning scenery, and wide range of activities. It is one of the most developed beaches in Phuket, with a variety of hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops to choose from. Pros: Beautiful beach: Patong Beach has a long stretch of white sand beach with clear blue waters. It is a great place to relax and soak up the sun. Wide range of activities: There is something for everyone at Patong Beach, from swimming, sunbathing, and water sports to shopping, dining, and nightlife. Convenient location: Patong Beach is located close to Phuket International Airport and other popular tourist attractions. Cons: Crowded: Patong Beach can be very crowded, especially during peak season. Noisy: Patong Beach can be quite noisy at night, especially around Bangla Road. Overall: Patong Beach is a great place to visit if you are looking for a lively and exciting beach vacation. Recommended activities: Swimming and sunbathing: Patong Beach is a great place to relax and soak up the sun. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent. Water sports: There is a wide range of water sports available at Patong Beach, including jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides. Shopping: Patong Beach has a wide range of shops, from souvenir shops to high-end boutiques. Dining: Patong Beach has a wide range of restaurants, serving everything from Thai food to international cuisine. Nightlife: Patong Beach has a vibrant nightlife scene, with bars, clubs, and discos to suit all tastes. Tips: Visit during the shoulder season: Patong Beach is less crowded during the shoulder season. Swim early in the morning: The water quality is usually better early in the morning. Be aware of the currents: There can be strong currents at Patong Beach, so it is important to be aware of your surroundings. I love the lively atmosphere, the beautiful scenery, and the wide range of activities. However, I visited during the shoulder season when it is less crowded. I also try to swim early in the morning to avoid the crowds and the potential for pollution.

The water is not clean compared to karon Beach. There are many boats and jetskis sailing near the beach. It is one of the best beaches to celebrate New Year, with many fireworks and flying lights. 😍

Good sand beach with enough space to sit in the shade of the tree, even though it can get a bit busy. There are a few people walking around to hound you with cheap necklaces, jetski trips, and beach beds.

Patong Beach is a vibrant and lively destination that offers a lot to explore. The view from the beach is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear waters and a picturesque coastline that stretches as far as the eye can see. The natural beauty of the surroundings is truly captivating. One of the highlights of Patong Beach is the wide range of activities available. From water biking to various water sports, there's something for everyone to enjoy. These activities add an extra element of excitement and adventure to your beach experience, allowing you to make the most of your time by the water. However, it's important to be mindful when walking on the beach. One thing to note is that there may be oil beneath the sand, which can potentially ruin your shoes or slippers. It's advisable to pay attention to where you step and be cautious to avoid any unfortunate mishaps. Despite this minor concern, Patong Beach remains a popular and enjoyable destination. Its natural beauty, coupled with the array of activities, makes it a great choice for beach enthusiasts. Soak in the breathtaking views, indulge in the water sports, and savor the vibrant atmosphere of Patong Beach – it's an experience you won't want to miss.

This is a beach where something is always happening, it can be jet skis darting about, people parasailing, sitting around enjoying the sun or in the water swimming. When in Patong it is a must do to enjoy a few hours on this very famous beach.

It’s a great beach if you’re looking for activities in the ocean like jet-skiing, paragliding etc. it is very touristy though so avoid this beach if you’re trying to go somewhere more quiet.

Most of Phuket’s beaches are mostly eerily quiet during monsoons but Patong, the island’s main slice of accessible paradise is still wildly busy and bustling with delights, debauchery and daily doses of drama.

I like it. Maybe not as nice as some other beaches but there are a few spots where one can sit in the shade under a tree and gaze out over the sea and it is so beautiful. And it's pretty hard to find a spot under a tree, on a beach, in a chair, in Phuket, these days.
