During your holiday if you do not want to be scammed for little things & want peace of mind, would recommend NOT to book with them Very rude, corrupt and arrogant Staff. We were asked to pay for a damaged umbrella which we never used. Tourists come on holiday & do not necessarily check if everything in the room is fully functional while entering the room. We never realized there was minor damage in the cap of one of the umbrellas provided in the room. While we were checking out we were asked to pay for the same. We even asked them to check the CCTV that the same was never used yet they ended up telling us your check-out will not be complete if the same is not paid. For other guests in front of us they asked them to pay for the slippers while the lady kept stating she never used it & never knew that slippers were provided. I see many have shared similar experiences. Meaning they keep scamming & are aware that tourists won’t bang their heads on the wall for such issues. Such people ruin the whole mood of vacation, highly disappointed.

Overall a good hotel near the beach. Slides are the main attraction. Kids loved the pool with slides. One pool is with Slides and the other one is for relaxing.. However, It's not a place if you want an open wide resort with trees and gardens etc. But it's an average hotel with good rooms. Food is good. The pool n bar is available till 730 PM. Overall a decent Hotel.

The hotel itself looks much better than in pictures. Lobby entrance is located in a small Street off the main road. The hotel is huge, it's obvious that the ground level rooms with pool access is the best selling rooms. The pool is huge, very nicely maintained and is the highlight of the place. The hotel decor is modern and clean. Location is great, a decent distance from all the party street noises. It's in front of the public beach but the water is brownish and not pleasant to swim in at all. The breakfast is totally not worth it, neither in quality nor quality which is strange for the large number of guests they have. Save the breakfast money and go to their restaurant in the main street would be a much better experience!

The worst experience ever My reservation was deluxe room with beach front and when we entered the room there was a very bad smell, it was unbearable. So we asked to change to another room. all what they did at the end was to downgrade us to a room with lesser rate with no re-embracement of any kind. Surprisedly, two managers were involved and they were worthless! The reception in this hotel couldn’t be worst, literally. It’s location to be honest was great. However the rooms needed tones of maintenance. Would never recommend it to anyone! Would never be back to it.

The best thing about Baan Lai Mai is the location; it's right on the beach. The rooms were huge and we did enjoyed our stay. I booked the rooms through the Thai program and we got the rooms at a very good deal. Through the Thai program, we also got coupons to use at the hotel's restaurant, and the receptionist did emphasize that we can use the coupons there. However, when we went to the restaurant, one waiter there said they don't accept these coupons. And he gave me an attitude and got annoyed when I asked him again if he was sure (because we stayed at the hotel, why can't we use the coupon here). I was upset (because the only reason we ate at the hotel's restaurant was to use the coupons) and contacted the hotel. The hotel said there was a misunderstanding between the staffs, and yes, they do indeed accept coupons. The hotel offer 20% off for our next meal, but of course, we will not be there again because of such bad experience we had with this staff (and the food wasn't great..and super pricey) We did enjoy our stay, but for such price, I think the hotel could do better; especially with their services and food (their breakfast especially, need a huge improvement).

Loved the place for its vicinity to Bangla road and being on the main road facing the ocean! The city's vibe and energy is pumping just outside the hotel. Such open space, doesn't feel claustrophobic like other hotels. Loved the breakfast. Can sit and enjoy facing the ocean. Cons- lift looked really shabby. Needs work to give a 4 star feel. They don't provide iron in the room, so they asked us to go down somewhere and iron the clothes.

Don’t go past this beautiful resort. Absolutely the BEST. The gorgeous hard working ladies and gentlemen here will certainly attend to your requests. The Band really do need a pay rise…..they not only can sing/play most requests but they will not forget you either. Our experience was 110%. Pool & rooms are lovely. It’s a great location. Breakfast is ok however very basic selection. Sorry but that’s where the positive review finishes. Cleaning staff can turn up to clean room any time for 9am to 7 pm if they even turn up at all. 3 days we went without them turn up to clean, change toilets even replace bins or toilet paper. Reception staff are rude and dismissive. If the don’t want to deal with issues they will just walk away and do something else. The reception staff completely ruined the holiday experience. The place is nice the reception staff are not. They will lie to your face, there English in most cases is very poor which when a front line service in an international hotel is a problem. Sorry can’t say a pleasant thing about our dealings with them.

Great vibe at this hotel and the location is central to everything. Very clean rooms and grounds and friendly staff. I found communication with staff at reception could be challenging, quite often daily housekeeping was not completed leaving us with no bottled water and wet towels. After coming back from big days out our request for some dry towels and water could not be carried out by reception. The pool bar staff are more than accommodating, especially Phad. The buffet breakfast has lots to choose from. I'd stay here again.

Best hotel I have ever been too. Clean, great location. Big, beautiful rooms, huge pool. Staff are friendly, prices are fair, hotel restaurant is the best. My only minor compliant is how many light switches are spread through the room (around 9 switches) with no master switch for them. Also the expensive laundry costs.

Nice hotel if u have kids with u, they have a playroom and a few different pools that suit all age range n parents. Beach just across the side.. I have the pool view suite, the sound proof is quite good, can't hear the music. The front desk very friendly and helpful. We were there 4 hrs earlier, they will try their best to let us check in earlier if not u can wait at their nice lobby or kids room.. Will definitely come back again

This is the most elegant and beautiful place in Paton Beach. It is very clean, the food is very good and they have excellent live music. If you come here you must eat rice with chicken in pineapple. At the same time, if you meet Param, it will make your day better, he is a very nice and hospitable man. He deserves a good tip :)

Some years before they have had a wonderful Restaurant but now max. average. My daughter doesn't like her Spaghetti... cant remember that this happened before. But also the food for us are disappointing ... prices very high for that.

The staff here are extremely rude, but I can’t blame them it’s more the management’s strict policies. I felt like I was being watched the whole time to make sure I did nothing wrong. Rooms are big but empty and boring. The pool bar is nice but very expensive. I would strongly suggest looking at other hotels/resorts for the same price. TV is bad, gym is bad, not guest friendly. And as per the review below, rooms are dirty and are not cleaned each day. Thumbs down.

The experience was out of this world and very hassle-free. The rooms were huge and spacious. We were given connecting rooms as we were with children. The breakfast buffet is superb. Big spread with lots of choices. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Had an awesome time. Recommended 👍👌👌👌

Nice little resort. Although pool bar isn’t open. This is one of the main reasons I booked. Great location though and staff are friendly. Breakfast is actually pretty good, not sure what all the whining is about.

Honestly I was amazed how nice the hotel is - both hotel itself and the room unit are new with modern design. In Canada for hotel like this, we probably have to pay double or triple the price. Originally I was a little bit worried about the hotel before we arrived as I saw a couple of ppl complaining about the receptionists and the room unit, but we didn’t have any problems. Maybe because the receptionists were not extra warming/gentle like many other Thai staff? but the level of welcoming they do is very common in the west, so we don’t find problem with them at all. It’s the first day though we are here, will update if anything goes wrong.. but so far, we have been very happy about everything here. The music of the restaurant is quite loud though, choose the room at the end if it bothers you.

We a big group - 120 pax stayed for 3 nights. Everything from booking to check out went very well. Location, cleanliness, layout of property, staff, food and above all good value for money made all the difference. This was my first stay and would like to visit again and so I would recommend to everyone.

Great if you want to be in the hustle and bustle. Live music plays until 11.00pm every night and fireworks going off at many times throughout the evenings. If you want to relax, not the place for you. We kindly asked reception to move to a quieter room as we couldn’t sleep with loud music & they were so kind to move us :) The staff at restaurant are great and very welcoming. Overall great stay for the price. I wouldn’t recommend for a honeymoon!

We have stayed at the Baan Laimai twice now and we love it here! Best location and super modern. All the staff are so friendly and we especially love the live entertainment in the restaurant at night. A special shout out to New at the pool bar! He is so kind and accommodating - our first trip was planned around three birthdays in our family and on each one he organized cake for us. On the second trip he made us a celebratory drink as it was our honeymoon, what a legend!

We only stopped in for drinks and to listen to the band. It was great for that. The band was very entertaining and interactive. . They invited people to sing along for their requests.

1. The rudest reception team I've ever seen at night, except some friendly ones in the morning. 2. Knowing that I've booked a deluxe room for two, but they will keep charge 1000bht for any guest. (They said it's a part of the hotel policy and for our safety which is not mentioned in their site but still they will let anyone come inside for 1000bht) 3. You'll never be able to sleep well, first because of the kids playing in the swimming pool, second, due to the bad ventilation since they are using a split AC unit directed on the bed. 4. Rooms are full of ants, noting that the cleaners are doing their job properly. I think it requires proper pest control. 5. The location is good. 6. There's no privacy for rooms, and the acoustic insulation is terrible. 7. The breakfast is fine.

Looks like the hotel only caters and treats the people well who come to their restaurant to dine and drink and not the residents staying in their rooms .My booking was cancelled without informing me .I got to know about my cancelled booking when I tried to check the same just before my departure for Phuket. Each and every employee at their front desk/lobby , check-in should be replaced starting from their reservation manager Ms. Nuh Who is way arrogant and in polite and thinks she owns the place .Someone should teach her some manners in the first place on how to speak and deal with the guests .Anyways thank God for holiday inn just next door a place where you have an excellent and peaceful stay at a better rate.

Saif is a very nice waiter with beautiful manners. The food was amazing steak was cooked perfectly, pasta was delicious and the ice was light and creaming . Overall atmosphere was nice good music and loved that we could sit at the front and watch the street.

Had greats drinks. The cocktails were excellent. Food was good. Service was outstanding from their staff. Chit our waiter was simply superb and very customer oriented. Attended to all our orders and recommended good drink selections for the night. Band was also equally superb. Highly recommended if you are in Patong.

Great hotel in a great location. Enjoyed the room, the pool was great, service was excellent especially at breakfast and dinner. The buffet breakfast has room for improvement but still reasonable. Just booked the hotel for next year so I am staying there again. I had a pool access room which was great but there are still plenty of chairs around the pool to enjoy a day relaxing and if you prefer the beach it's across the road

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The brake fast is good, the view is amazing, the rooms are very big and the staff is great especially ZAW he is very kind and helpful. The main thing is that it's very close to everything, restaurants, shopping centers and night life.

We went up and down the street and finally decided to eat here - so glad we did- the seafood platter was so tasty and well-presented. The service was excellent with the two most efficient and pleasant waiters- Akash and Ahmed - what an amazing meal! The price was reasonable considering the high quality of the food- we were both pleasantly stuffed, but couldn’t leave such good food behind! Kudos to the restaurant for the high quality of the food and service, considering the huge amount of restaurants in the area.

Outstanding staff who always remember the guest face and what they love to eat and drinks, Mind blowing hospitality from Mr,Mukii . That hotel have beautiful view from room big swimming pools and lot’s of aminities. Highly recommend place .

I am on holidays in Patong and if you stay in Patong you will be aware that the hospitality options are endless. However the Baan Laimai courtyard experience is wonderful. The lounge seating at the front overlooking the bay is great where you can catch the sea breeze and enjoy viewing the sunset and activities along beach road. Happy hours from 11am to 7pm with lovely strong cocktails. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menu here is excellent and so are the staff who treat you with attentive care and courtesy. Special mention to some of the staff I have had the pleasure of meeting are Param, Uishal, Saif, Ahmad, Akash and my special breakfast person Wun Dee who organises my iced double shot coffee just as I like it. I have been here every day. Well done.

Very nice hotel! The room was very clean and the staff were friendly. I honestly don’t have any complaints about the hotel. Amazing location; you can walk to the beach. Prior to booking, I read reviews of some people complaining about the sewage smell but for me, it wasn’t something I could notice. One thing that people should keep in mind though is that they play live music in the evening at the restaurant until 11:30 PM. For me, I didn’t mind, but if you plan on going to bed early, then this could be bothersome. (This also could be just my room because my room was right next to the restaurant). I liked the vibe, loved the music, everything was awesome.

1st visiting from Chicago. Came to the restaurant at their courtyard, we had multiple dishes and they were all good. Happy hour is fantastic, excellent vibe in front of the beach. Customer service is excellent!!!! All the employees were great especially Phuphan who took care of us all time!!! Very attentive! Try their pizza.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but the outdoor bar/restaurant was really great. Good value for drinks. Nice live music. And great location. Muki and the rest of the service team were fantastic.

We stayed four nights, at the deluxe pool access room. Swimming pool was clean, super spacious and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to live music band playing at night until around 12am. If you are lucky there might also be 2-3 min long fireworks lit by other restaurants nearby. I would rate the breakfast 8/10, because we simply love egg Benedicts, the access to the gym is excellent as it has most of the operators that are pretty new.

Loved the outdoor breakfast area. Restaurant staff very friendly. Rooms are great size. House keeping needs attention. I found it difficult to go over the bridges to go swimming. They need a hand rail for people with limited mobility. I also couldn't get into pool . Didn't feel safe going down or getting out of the pool ladders. So was disappointed that I couldn't swim . I went in 1 day and found it very awkward. This is our 2nd visit here this year .

We ran into this place walking by and we're so glad we stopped for dinner here. The service was spectacular. They really love giving great service. Everyone was walking around smiling as they helped us. Ahmed and Kate helped us have an amazing dinner. And Phuphan kept checking with us if everything was perfect. Pineapple Fried Rice was great, so was the Pad See Ew. Tom Ka Ga soup is the best you have to try it. The band was also great with live music. Great place!!

Nicely renovated room, great air conditioning, decent breakfast. But somewhat inattentive service, highly priced pool bar menu, inconsistent room cleaning/towel replacement experience. Live band played at restaurant at front of hotel nightly until late which could be heard clearly in rooms. If you have young kids or prefer early nights, this might not be what you want.

We only ate here and I must admit it was the best steak I've ever had. Go for the prime Australian beef (wow). The vibe is spectacular and the restaurant is very picturesque. The location is right between the beach and Bangla Road for those of you who want the crazy party holiday.

The SPA at the resort is a must try. Among the best ever visited. Ambience is really nice and also reasonably priced. Did not stay at this hotel but have been to the restaurant many times a good place to have some food and drinks.

Nice location close to the beach. Modern feel and well decorated rooms. Quiet. On the down side, for me, the beds are not confortables (too hard) so won't come back.

Totally beyond expectations. F&B was amazing especially Muki who is looking after us when we had our dinner. Food was very delicious and worth it. Thai cuisine was superb. Highly recommended!

What a fabulous resort the location is walking distance around Patong. The staff are absolutely fantastic they are so helpful and are always smiling. The pool is a great size and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. If you want the Patong experience this is the place to stay. Lastly the price is right.

The location of the hotel is perfect- right on the beach. The staff is not very helpful though. Cleaning of rooms had to be requested 2/3 times. Dust bins were not cleared. Wake up call was not given. Lot of attitude among staff.

Visited this place with my girls, and it was an absolute delight. We were served by NEW who was extremely sweet and accommodating. The Mussamam curry was something we enjoyed the most. Ask for NEW when you visit here for the best smile and friendly service :)

We visit for dinner only. The staff are always very friendly and go out of their way to look after the kids. The food is lovely prices as expected for this style of restaurant. Great to hear a live band.

The hotel is near Bangla street and facing the Patong beach. It’s huge however very badly maintained. At night it’s pretty loud because of fire works and noise from other rooms. In the mornings it’s loud because of the pool. Rooms are not sound proof. Bathrooms are terrible and old. Our bathroom had leak and whenever we went for shower the whole bathroom would be wet. No iron in the room and you have to go to laundry room to iron. The iron itself is not working as well. There is a kids play area with all broken toys. Breakfast was average

Hotel is nice with big pool and opposite to the beach. Near by many markets. Room is corner room so bigger than others, while restroom is small. Good service and friendly staff. Breakfast was good, serving verity of food.

Nice rooms, we had pool access. Checking in was a bit of a headache being told check in at 3pm and room wasn't ready till 4:30pm. Food was amazing, great entertainment. Amil works down by the bar, very polite and helpful and great English 👌

Nice place. Great location directly across from the beach, nice rooms, friendly staff, breakfast buffet is great. Negatives: nightly DJ/band is really loud and plays until late at night, ask for a room away that if you want quiet. Had an issue with my booking between the hotel and Agoda. Recommend not booking here through Agoda, use some other site or book direct.

Beautiful resort! Great location. The outdoor restaurant was amazing. They can be a bit at checkout so please make sure everything is in clear site when you leave. Their spoons etc. definitely worth going back to.

Currently still staying in this resort and was happy with the place the past 3 days although music is so loud and was annoying to stay in my room nearby the restaurant but again to smell barbecue in my own room without even opening my balcony was so annoying to me and the only solution from the reception is to freshen up the room with a spray that did not have any smell! I was told there was a group gathering and that it’s only for this night and had to wait till it’s finished and maybe smell will go away! I’m so disappointed with this approach I came on a vacation to enjoy my time and sleep comfortably but this is going to the other direction of comfortable..

Overview... the rooms where spacious, bed hard, breakfast good value, excellent location and restaurants and Happy Hour great. Reception staff not helpful and dismissive. We had a group booking with confirmation when fully booked and paid that rooms where next to each other but we were all spread out despite even showing reception staff the emails and confirmation but still wouldn't acknowledgment or honour. Room cleaning was hit and miss everyday. We would put our make up room sign at 8am every morning before breakfast and could still be waiting until 5.30pm everyday and that is when we followed up and asked for the room to be cleaned but other could wait until 7pm. Customer service really isn't their priority. Luckily there are so many other resorts that pride themselves on Customer service that would love our future business. Pool rules disregarded, pool closes at 8pm and pool noise still at 2am with no intervention and yelling so loud and when you have pool room very loud. Music and singing every night until midnight so request room away from beach front. Wild cats everywhere and flee bits after sitting on fabric chairs in restaurant as cats often seen sitting on them. Marijuana is now legal sale in Thailand but is to be smoked in private premises so the smell on the balconies is very unpleasant so will now be a deterrent for travelling back to Thailand in the future. This is our first negative experience with accommodation and customer service since being regular travellers to Phuket since 2006.

This was an excellent hotel with friendly staff and nice, big rooms! It's been a wonderful stay here and we have been enjoying every minute! The breakfast spread is lovely, and the location is great as it is just opposite the beach. The pool bar was amazing, and special mention to Naw the bartender who provided excellent service and delicious cocktails! We are very thankful for the wonderful experience at this hotel 😍

I recently visited this resort and had an amazing spa experience there. This resort provides the best spa therapy that I have ever experienced. The staff was very professional and friendly. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session. The ambiance of the spa was very soothing and calming. I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone looking for a rejuvenating and relaxing experience.

Firstly I booked a deluxe pool view for 12 nights THIS IS NOT A TRUE 4 STARS HOTEL. Overpriced, Rooms needs a good decorations (almost empty) The lights..it’s terrible, too many switches Really bad engineering At night it’s not quite you will hear the fireworks in patong beach All night There’s no Soundproof at all! Inside the room no ironing machine You have to come to reception and they guide you to laundry room Only one machine for a big resort like this!! 4 stars hotel right?? Okay The bath tub not clean, you will see dust and yellow liquid very weird Breakfast..what to say, limited options it’s like cheap hotel buffet, really I'm saying it! I have been to many luxury to mid hotels in phuket And this one not even close to 2000baht a night. The good things is:- Location -The pool…clean and well maintained. -reception staff so friendly and also the security guys. And remember! this hotel is not guest friendly, so if you want to take someone inside They will charge you 1000baht a night Be advised and don’t waste your money You can go somewhere. Don’t pay and be an idiot.

Wonderful place with hospitable staff. Can improve on bathroom amenities. The construction going on in the side was quite disturbing but overall a wonderful experience. Especially the resturant which is facing the beach is an icing on the cake
