it's not a five star hotel but I love the big room and swimming pool. Lots of plants in the garden. Big C and local restaurants are nearby, only 10 minutes walk to the beach.

Rooms were cheap but not fantastic. For the price I think it's fine. Located in the quieter side of Phuket, I think this area has quite a bit of beauty to it.

Friendly staff and good location even if the traffic can be quite annoying. 5 min from beach 3 min to a good local restaurant (Nikoy BoatNoodles Kamala) 5 min to a big supermarket (Big C) The room and interior is not the most modern but the value is great.

Great hotel, kind and warm staff and at a great location ! Close to everything you need : a Big C, 7-11’s, a great deal of restaurants for all tastes, self-serving washing machines and even a gym at a 15 min walk from there. The beach is also approximately 10 minutes away by foot. The room was big and clean. I read comments about loud noises at night. We had a room beside the road and I gotta say it wasn’t a big deal for us. I slept like a baby. A little con is that the sheets were somehow a little damp. There is also a pool if you need it. On the last day, we needed a ride to Phuket and no Grab wanted our ride. The staff kindly called a taxi for us so we wouldn’t miss our bus at the Phuket station, 40 minutes away from Kamala. Kop kun krap to Sungthong and all the kind staff, I absolutely recommend this hotel !

The hotel has seen better days but the rooms are clean & comfortable. Larger than most. Location less than 10 minutes walk from beach, Big C , restaurants etc. 7/11 3 minutes away. Sadly, the hotel restaurant has not been open since Covid. And there is no elevator to higher floors. However, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. I would stay here again.

The best hotel in Phuket! So glad that I found this. The hosts are very friendly and the service is perfect. Came home to a clean room every night. Comfortable bed, tv, fridge, cute balcony and clean bathroom. Everything is a short walk away: beach, food, bars etc. Would 100% recommend

Nice pool, clean rooms, aircon good and nice staff. However a few issues let it down. Wifi in my room was unusable, tv had no reception, no table on balcony and hot water kept going cool for 20 secs then back to hot. Not far from beach. For some reason the room safe key was attached to the hotel key and couldn't be removed.

Friendly staff reasonable room overlooking the garden and pool. Location is towards the end of town easy walk to bigC, great local bakery for breakfast, 5 minutes walk to South end of the quiet Kamala beach.

5 stars for everything about Sungthong. Absolutely wonderful staff, friendly and outgoing. After a week there it felt like a second home to me. Rooms are spotless, cleaning staff do an amazing job. Lovely relaxing pool area, Beds are not your usual Thailand rock hard lol Internet good, great desk area for digital nomads etc. Small balcony but big enough to enjoy an outdoor cup of coffee etc Location is great, short walk to Kamala Beach, big C is virtually next door, 7/11 not far away either. 100m to road to Patong

The hotel looks older than the photos and looks empty Furthermore, They only accept cash.

If you want to relax and sleep till you wake up don't go there. Between 2 main roads you're lucky if you catch some sleep between 0-6 because of the traffic in front of the hotel. The furniture is extremely old.. the bathroom not to mention.. dirty.... the sink is not properly working. The building is not worth a star.... my recommendation is spend a few more $ you won't regret it

Great place to stay, good location, reasonable price, friendly personal, clean and new. We booked via booking app, they gave us a room in a new building, which was clean, big, AC, TV works perfectly, theres nothing i could complain on. I’m not sure why there’re bad reviews bc for this price one usually will get old smelly place with rude personal and this place is clearly worth the money and beyond the expectations. The hotel is a 5 min walk away from the beach. There is an amazing bakery nearby, perfect for breakfast. There is a car rental nearby as well. They have a parking area too. The room is standard, room was clean. Washroom was okay, there was curtain to separate the shower area, hot water available. They have a good pool and garden area. Its a good budget friendly hotel, nothing luxurious but cozy and comfortable.

Positives: Cost, 5 minute walk to beach and the Supermarket, good wi-fi, clean, comfortable beds. Not-so-good: Rooms on the west side are right on a busy road so there's traffic noise and limited views, there are 2 inch "step transitions" in the bathroom that might be a problem for some until you become used to them. Some amenities missing in the room such as a hair dryer, robes, umbrellas.

It is a pretty good hotel. Rooms are big and clean. There is nice swimming pool and big garden around hotel. Staff is very friendly. It is not in city center so you can sleep well without loud music.

Good quality accommodation at a decent price, staff is very courteous and professional, there is a 7/11 round the corner and public transport is available nearby. Kamala market is just couple of mins walk away with everything that one would need on a holiday, beach is also a 5 mins walk away.

Excellent for price. No food served when we stayed but there is massive strip of restaurants just around corner. Also around the corner from kamala beech

Simple accommodation really, nothing to complain about. It's a small hotel, which I prefer over the large multi-appartment ones. Rooms are quaint, you get to cool down in the pool. Beaches, shops are accessible on foot. The hosts are really warm and friendly.
