If you look closely enough through some of the previous reviews the clues are there to this underwhelming resort (“overrated”, “hyped” etc). We stayed in a Bird’s Nest Villa and of course it’s beautiful because that’s the way the resort sells itself and tries to justify the price tag. But a resort needs more than to look good in its publicity photos. We had justifiably low expectations for the view given previous reviews but we did expect privacy. However, the constant stream of buggies up and down the path (un-screened) to the side of the villa, most of which were transporting staff rather than guests, totally compromised this. Breakfast was good, dinner average for a resort of this supposed level. It just doesn’t have anything going for it in comparison to many other five star resorts in the area, whose location, food and service are much better.

Just finished a three night stay here. This is my second visit. I stayed in 2019 too. The overall maintenance was very poor. The pool in my room was in very poor condition with missing and cracked tile pieces. The floor in the entry way of the room was cracked and missing a huge gap from the corner of the stair. There were huge ants and cockroaches crawling around the room. My fiancé accidentally stepped on one with his bare foot. The AC in the first room we were assigned was moldy. I had a severe reaction from the mold. Staff was nice and moved us to a different room a hour later. Second room was better but could still smell the stench. The shower was the best part. We had an outdoor and indoor shower. The pressure was amazing! I do recommend you bring your own soaps as the soaps they provide aren’t quality soaps. Housekeeping only comes once a day, and there’s only one restaurant on site. This should not fall under a 5 star hotel. Price doesn’t justify the quality of the rooms either.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels but the Keemala wins it by far. I've read a few negative reviews some mention the staff attitude, not being catered for. Genuinely think they must have stayed somewhere else. The staff were polite, kind, respectful and genuinely a pleasure to be around. They make this special resort so much more of a positive experience. As for the resort itself. We stayed in the duplex tree top villa. We had out own pool, an amazing view and the most beautiful room. There's a reason you will see the Keemala in the top ten global tree house stays and that's because you really do have to go to appreciate it. Finally just want to say thank you to Suji - you made our stay beyond perfect - thank you ❤️

STAY AWAY!! This was by far our worst hotel experience in Thailand. Wayyy overpriced and is basically a badly executed gimmick. It took more than half an hour for our luggage to get to the room. There are cicadas there that make an alarm like noise (watch a YouTube video to get how annoying this is). There is no privacy, two or three other rooms have a view to one another. The water in the pool are freezing and there's only one sunbed in the balcony, that almost burned us because the fabric overheats. No living room (clay villa) and no doors in the toilet or shower. The main pool floor is made of marble so you can't walk barefoot there. We had two salads from the restaurant and they were pretty tasteless. Before we checked out someone came to our room to make sure we left the room in good shape... while we were there. Total checkout time was 45 minutes.

Beautiful resort in the middle of the nature. We stayed in Tree house which is very spacious and well designed. The service was excellent. The breakfast choices were limited but delicious. Shout out to Suji who was very kind to us and our little daughter. She's was very helpful and really dealt with us like guests in her home. The general swimming pool is great. You are in the middle of the nature so mosquitoes, insects and lizards are expected to be around your villa but nothing bothered us inside our villa which was very clean.

Stayed here 2 weeks ago in a 2 bedroom villa. Room - Was spacious & had a beautiful layout. Loved the high ceilings. Bathroom was massive and had everything included. Robes / hair dryer / toiletries / bath tub / shower and an outdoor shower too. Each room had a good sized pool with a jacuzzi. Water and drinks were included and every evening we had a treat delivered to our room. Beds were massive too. Could easily fit in 4 people. Breakfast was included & was a limited spread with an extensive menu to order from. I thought it was a great idea to prevent wastage of food. The food quality and presentation was immaculate. Their croissants were so fresh and tasty. Everything from the menu too was delish and beautifully presented. The Thai desert was always a new thing. The servers were very friendly and made sure we got everything we wanted with a smile. The resort was lush green on a hill with beautiful views. Very peaceful. The buggy driver happily showed us the entire resort. They use environmentally friendly products and packaging, of which I am a great fan. Taxi from the resort to Patong costs 500Thai Baht. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa and the main pool as we were out most of the time. Overall, I think Keemala resort is a fab place to stay if you want luxury and comfort.

We stayed in the Birds Nest Villa, it was absolutely perfect. From the design, service, staff, restaurant, and room everything was 10/10. Bim, our villa host made sure we were in a golden condition 24/7. Daniel gave us a wonderful Yoga class. All the rest of the team are amazing people who made our stay one of a kind. This is a must-see hotel and we will Definitely come back here.

Wonderful sanctuary in the jungle. Stayed in both the tree house and bird nest villas. Deep tissue massage at the spa was first class. Yoga class with Daniel was quite nice as well. Food options were a bit limited as Indian menu was not available yet. If I was being super picky the showers weren't great but that's easily fixable. Overall excellent 5/5

Day 1: Excellent Location, Ambience, and Design. The staff are very supportive and provided some very well needed recommendations. However, the breakfast buffet can be improved. In general, the interior designs would put a smile on any guests face. We took taxis to the city which is wiithin a 15 to 20 min drive, so it is also at a good spot on those terms. Highly recommended.

The photos online don’t make a justice to the gorgeous architecture and landscaping of this hotel. We came here for our honeymoon and were welcomed to the hotel with a beautifully woven flower detail and some refreshing drinks and towels. Our room was decorated and the room had a bowl of delicious fruits, a coffee dripping glass, a fully stocked mini refrigerator with free drinks, a coffee grinder, some snacks, and even ear plugs! Every detail was extremely well thought out. The villas have spaced out so we really felt a lot of privacy while at the pool and even the terrace, the views were amazing and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast was included and the restaurant Mala had a variety of delicious meals you must try! Cocktails were also delicious and the views from the restaurant were spectacular.

An amazing place for a natural retreat. This is definitely a worth mentioned place for a paradise luxury experience with heartwarming staff. The ambient is very welcoming. The resort is simply beautiful with great landscaping and nature-inspired villas surrounded by lush green forest. You'll get to wake up to fresh mountain air and the sounds of birds chirping right outside your room. There's lots to explore in the surroundings of the retreat, from a canopy walk, swimming pool and few picture perfect spots.

Do not listen to what any negative reviews here say. This hotel is 100% perfection in every single way. I stayed for 6 nights here half the time in a tree house room and the other 3 nights in a birds nest room. Go for the birds nest room! Tree house rooms are also pretty but not great if you're scared of wildlife/insects as they are all garden facing. The birds nest rooms have the best view (sea view) and mostly clear of insects. It is a beautiful, discreet hotel and the staff are all so helpful 24/7. The rooms are so stunning plus perfectly air conditioned and full of amazing goodies. Daily Yoga, Pilates and Meditation sessions with Daniel are lovely and not to be missed. I cannot thank the staff at Keemala for a magical stay. Thanks especially to my room host Suji for making my stay so special. See you again soon Keemala

OMG!!! The best resort we could have every been to! Beautiful Location, Attached Pool was so serene and scenic. The cottage style resort has so much within itself, wonderful hikes, flowers, Thai Smell within the streets and amazing staff. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Loved our stay, Loved the food and Loved the location. It was close to most of the things we have on our itinerary for 4 days and less than a couple hours drive from major islands! I am sure there are a lot of affordable resorts in Phuket to choose from but if this is in your budget - definitely go!

The hotel deserve 5 start because everything to me is perfect the staff, rooms, food, service, and the beautiful view. The hotel is a Romantic Hotel, so if you are coming with your friends you may find it quiet, even some activities may not be able to send you their free shuttle for pickup. You should give it a try and I wished more nights were available. Thank you!!

Really enjoyed our stay at Keemala, we stayed at the Tree Pool house, it was a great experience. The room was really beautiful and clean. Overall, the resort was really nice. Spa was good too. We didn't enjoy the food or breakfast at the restaurant as much.

Amazing resort! Our room (clay with private pool) was so big and comfort, the design of room is 10/10. Breakfast is so delicious, a lot of options. The staff are so cute, helpful and care about everything. Thanks to Peter the driver for funny tour in the resort, Pui and all the staff of the reception for their help.

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Keemala Resort, particularly Mai and Pui, for their warm welcome and exceptional hospitality. During our stay, every member of the staff was kind and helpful, contributing to our overall feeling of happiness and relaxation at the resort. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable. ❤️☺️

We went to the Keemala for our honeymoon. We had a phenomenal experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - Tony looked after us and made sure we had a special stay and helped us with reservations and activities. He was super responsive and friendly. The breakfast is tip top, the pool is beautiful and the rooms were really special. We were sad to leave but really hope to return soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Keemala. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was amazing and really good quality. Some villas need to be refurbished. Definitely coming back.

My wife and I had an amazing stay in Keemala. Three nights went by so fast. The clay cottage was stunning and the pool was very relaxing. The staff is super friendly! Special thanks to Housekeeping for keeping our room so tidy. The Mala restaurant offers a great breakfast buffet and menu, dinner was very tasteful aswel.

Where do I start? When the service by villa host March and the entire team is exceeding the already great product that is staying at Keemala, you get what is truly an experience. The New Year’s Eve was exceptional cuisine with more Thai performances than what we experienced at the Bangkok grand palace.

Luxury living in a very clean and well appointed hotel. I kept waiting to see Ewoks. It still did not disappoint 👏 the bath tub and sinks in our villa were carved out of an actual stone. Crazy view from the top villa. You get shuttled around in golf carts from spot to spot to spot on the resort grounds because it's built into a mountain and the hills are STEEP! Although you can still walk if you want to. The shuttle carts are fun and all you have to do is dial zero and they show up within minutes. Our villa was far from everything so it made sense. What a fun resort!!

The most amazing place I've been to. The rooms are athletically amazing with bronze and wood fittings. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough. Their staff had the best response time even though the place is spread over a hill. Anyone who gave this place a bad review might have had a bad luck 😂 The restaurant is pretty good too but slightly expensive. Location is a bit far from the beach and other places but if you're on a honey moon.. You might not even need to leave.

I hate having to leave bad reviews but I frequent only 5 star hotels and anyone giving this a 5 start rating must have had a fever, delusional or simply do not understand what 5 star is. I'm just as disappointed in American express for having this on the FHR program as they have not done there homework as well and somehow allowed this hotel to be part of FHR. We booked 4 nights here and unfortunately had to stay the night. I would score this with a three star if they were honest but charging 5 star hotel prices for what we got is robbery. The rooms (we had the bird's nest) are outdated both inside and out. The rooms very dark and the air conditioning was terrible up until midnight when we were finally sleeping. The grounds are nothing special and not well maintained (for it being a 5 star) and the view is trash as it overlooks apartments in the distance as well all around the property. The best thing about this place was leaving and checking into the rosewood about 20 min away. The hotels are not even on the same playing field and the rosewood was cheaper. I'm going to be baffled about this one forever. The memory of how terrible this is for what they think is 5 star was worth it I suppose. And ill finish by saying one nice thing, the people of Thailand are amazing people but if your going to call your self a 5 star resort and charge 5 star resort prices be prepared for those that know what a 5 star hotel looks like to comment negatively. So if your reading this review do yourself a favor and cancel your booking in time or don't make the mistake we did unless your expectations are 2/3 stars and you enjoy overpaying.

Amazing place, stayed 2 nights for our honeymoon. We checked-in earlier because our flight got here way earlier than check-in time and they were nice enough to get the room ready for us! The staff’s amazingly friendly, the environment was very nice and the free breakfasts too! Would definitely go there again. Thank you Keemala team for making my honeymoon great.

The hotel was very secluded and a perfect get away! It was perfect for our honeymoon. We appreciate all of the staff as they were very accommodating. We would recommend this resort to others. Pui and Pam were very helpful!

Everything about Keemala was absolutely magical! The most unique architecture and tranquile ambiance - the villas are all to die for and don’t even get me started on how epic the bathrooms are! The spa is truly devine - treating yourself to a massage is a must! The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond the entire time! The food was delicious every single meal we had and they have a very wide variety of options for you to pick from. I am already counting down the seconds to return to Keemala!! Don’t hesitate and book your stay with them right this second!!

Loved this place! The most beautiful-nature like resort we’ve stayed at! The villas are so pretty and their pools are big and the views are like no other place. Customer service is on point! Everyone was so attentive and nice the whole time. We loved our stay. It would’ve been even more perfect if it was a kids free resort.

Staying here for 1 night for our honeymoon, I work in hospitality so I like to do hotel hopping and this one was the best hotel that we have been staying so far on this trip. We stayed at the bird nest and it was breathtaking. From the view to the interior of the room. The room rate is on the expensive side but totally worth it. All the staffs are so friendly and helpful. We changed our transportation 3 times and they accommodated every request with big smiles. Definitely will come back here to stay next time I am in Phuket.

Super luxurious. Very, very nice. Excellent service. Food great. But beware. Super steep hills between units, restaurant, spa, etc. Difficult to walk. You need to have staff pick you up in a golf cart to go anywhere.

An amazing place. One of the best places I have stayed across the world. The accommodation is beautiful and of a very high standard. Lots of nice touches to make the stay special. The thing that stands out is the friendliness and level of service - after one day it seemed that all the staff knew who we were and which villa we were staying in. The breakfasts are really excellent and the restaurant does great meals. One highlight was the cooking lesson that we booked as part of our stay - Nadear the chef and her team were really fun and helped us make amazing food. Brilliant place.

Extra Beautiful resort. We went there for having lunch. Being vegetarian, we requested for a veg pizza out of their menu and they made a delicious one. The Beauty of the resort is really breath taking.

Stayed there during my girlfriend's 30th birthday. Had already super high expectations since we treated ourselves and wanted it to be worth the money. In the end, the expectations were even exceeded. Great service, great rooms, great facility, super friendly staff. Overall, it was a memorable experience!

Great hotel away from the madness, but close enough to everything you need. Stunning villas. Really unique. Very good food too and the staff did everything they could to make it a perfect couple of nights.

The best place I have ever stayed (and I have stayed in lots of places)!. The compound and rooms are absolutely dreamy- it honestly looks like its out of a Pinterest board. All the staff are so lovely and the food & drinks are absolutely delicious! So many small touches that we still cannot stop thinking about - like the lemongrass shower gel that they make on the compound (we have messaged Keemala to see if we could order this and get it delivered to Australia ahaha). Such a unique and beautiful stay- we were so upset to leave. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing!. One of the best places I've stayed in ever! The place is a small village of perfectly cared for forest. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, perfect, and cozy. I would recommend this for anyone seeking a quiet nature escape. Must stay.
