For a family of five, this was by far one of the best resorts we have stayed at. The rooms were beautiful, large and the beds were comfortable. However, we did find that the rooms were quite dark even with the curtains open and the stairs were hard to see and find especially in the evening. The service was amazing. The staff were friendly constantly engaged in conversation and were quick to wait on us. The food was also amazing with appropriate serving sizes. While the options were small the variety was large with Indian, Italian and traditional Thai. The location of the resort was only a short walk away from some simple markets and restaurants. Additionally the hotel offered taxi services, who were friendly and willing to drives us for a whole day! We will be coming back to this resort and the experience was overwhelmingly positive!

Our experience has been phenomenal! This was our first resort and it had everything you need: beach with fine white sand, amazing pool with cliff jumping and slide, wide spread breakfast, and menu with a variety of food. From our room, we were able to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Best of all, we met an amazing staff who really made us feel welcomed, especially Nam who felt like family. She was attentive and so caring. Thank you for an outstanding experience!

We loved our stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort! We stayed for 7 nights and each day we were made to feel like royalty. The staff were all super attentive, especially Nok at the restaurant who is pictured with us. We had the all inclusive package and there was plenty of different food to choose from. As well as delicious cocktails. The resort is huge and actually backs up onto the beach. You can walk out of the huge pool and into the beautiful waves. We are sad to leave this wonderful place!

A wonderful place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the sea view from our room, the adults only pool and the overall relaxing feel of this resort. The massages at the spa are incredible and the food is equally amazing! The staff were incredible helpful, kind and accommodating and we will definitely be back. Beautiful overall!

First off, the pictures of the rooms are very deceiving. The pools for each place are on top of each other almost to the point where you are swimming with others. Not so private. There isn't walls just see-through fence things. I can also hear my neighbors through the walls easy and crying babies. Neighbors can see into your room from their pools as well. The staff that dropped off food were rude. We ate at the Italian restaurant and the staff seemed pushy to get us out when were waiting for our plane. Also they turned off A/C for 6-8 hours on Monday and didn't say this would happen until the night prior at 19:00 with a note. Two days later they do the same thing saying power won't work. This is no A/C, no charging outlets, can't plug into walls, no lights in the room and had to pack in the dark! Worst hotel experience ever. The private pool also was pretty cold and the facilities were outdated like the shower drain did not drain well so water would build up. Your door is essentially outside if it rains you are walking in puddles. Also we paid for an OCEAN VIEW ROOM, you could only see one tiny part of the ocean through all the buildings and trees. rip off.

We are here now. It is absolutely no where near 5 star. Rooms are small but nice and bathrooms are nice but whole resort is ‘tired’ and needs a great deal of attention. Service is slow in restaurants. Breakfast basic and pool area/sun beds are dirty with no pool service at all. Had to wait 40 minutes for towels by pool this morning. Drinks and pool toys overpriced. One plus is the food which is excellent when it eventually arrives. Staff are all lovely . No sunbeds or facilities on the beach. Just a very basic resort which could be magnificent but absolutely nothing about it indicates 5 star. No luxury or touches that make it special. 4 star at its best.

Had a great stay with a cozy room overlooking Karon beach. There is some walking and stair climbing to do to get back to the room but we didn't mind that at all and was a welcomed after a large breakfast buffet. There is direct beach access. You can walk out of the hotel to the main part of Karon beach but this will require stepping out to the main road for 100-200m. Breakfast buffet was very tasty with a large variety of options. Stayed during new year's eve and they had some wonderful celebrations and fireworks.

At the pool bar, our barman “O” was absolutely fantastic!!! He made us the best cocktails, our drink just kept coming. He’s such a happy friendly guy. He made our time at the bar pool so much fun. You can tell he really enjoys his job. Thanks for the best time “O” Cheers Annie & Gordon 🍹🍹🥂🥂😎

What a fantastic hotel! Amazing service, staff and food! Words can’t express how professional and wonderful the staff at this hotel are! All staff work together to provide flawless service - and a special shout-out to the car shuffle workers, the luggage and reception workers , the bar workers who provide excellent service all day in the heat (including Pao and all the pool bar staff) and Andrea, the director of food and breverages. All the staff at this hotel are humble, beautiful and kind-hearted and work tirelessly with all their hearts just to put a smile on the face of visiting tourists 💙🐒🐘

Highly recommend this resort. Stayed just before covid end of 2019 and loved every minute of it. As a couple is beautiful but will be back with kids…. The buffet breakfast was beautiful!! And only a short walk to a massage!

Best-ever holiday. Everything was perfect. The staff are amazing. O, the barman at the Adults Only Pool looks after you like you're royalty, as does all the waiting staff in every restaurant. The breakfast is sensational, the lunches are sensational and the dinners are unbelievable. Hoping to bring all our kids and partners next year. Nothing will disappoint you in this resort. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Service is good, rooms were beautiful, and pool design is good. Only problem why it is a 4 and not a 5 is because the pool has too much mud and dust which made me sick for a few days and made me really itchy. So 4 is OK and reasonable for this. Recommend or not? I think its OK and I guess I cam recommend it, but not for kids who have thin skin.

Fantastic resort right on a quiet end of Karon beach. Pools are amazing, great for kids with water slides etc. Staff are excellent, all very friendly and helpful. The only let down is the rooms and resort needs quite a bit of renovations, it’s looking tired and needs a clean and paint. We chose the full board package which was great value I would highly recommend it as the food was amazing

Awesome relaxing resort! Great friendly staff everywhere on hand to assist. Stayed in a one bedroom villa with private pool and did not want to leave. Food was amazing and great variety. Wife and I had three Spa treatments and well worth the money. I would highly recommend this resort for both couples and families.

Good: 1. Huge well maintained territory. Convenient access to the beach. Hotel has quiet and peaceful location. 2. Amazing ocean view with jacuzzi at balcony 3. Swimming pool for kids and indoor/outdoor playgrounds Bad: 1. The rooms urgently need renovation due to their outdated state. 2. Despite its 5-star rating, the hotel’s quality is more akin to a 3-star establishment. 3. The pricing at both the hotel and restaurants seems inflated. 4. Tobacco and cannabis smoke comes from neighboring balconies. In most cases it is so strong that it makes hard to stay outside. What is the point of having a balcony with a jacuzzi and ocean view if you can not use it? 5. Concerns arise due to the hotel’s location between water/sewage streams, raising questions about water quality near the beach. Personal experience: 1. I booked two rooms for my family. It was frustrating to get them in two different buildings 10 minutes apart. 2. Our first day hotel experienced a system malfunction. The door keys did not work for both rooms. It gave us lots of inconvenience. 3. Next day we noticed that smoke from the neighboring balcony infiltrates our room. I dedicated entire day to make sure the maintenance team properly sealed windows and doors. I had to call them twice. 4. After the maintenance team left we had no electricity. We had to call front-desk to restore power. 5. Fridge stopped working after blackout. It took me a lot of effort to convince the front-desk to replace it. 6. Electric tea kettle had a problem with the switch. I had to hold it to boil the water. The replacement did not switch off automatically. 7. Window blinds stuck. Had to call front-desk again. 8. Elevator at building 6 did not work for several day in a row. We had an option to carry strollers by stairs or walk to the building 8 to use elevator there. 9. Most housekeeping requests were addressed promptly. But there was a case when I had to remind front-desk several times as my request was ignored. All in all I waited 3 hours for ice. 10. Checkout was quite challenging. Some of our belongings were taken to a “lost and found” room. It took me half of the day and lots of effort to get them back. I was very close to calling the police and filing a theft report.

This place is the best. Pleasant to the eyes. The layout of the resort is cool. The pools are awesome with views of the beach. Food is good and service is fast. Pool service and bartenders are great. Not a far walk to traditional Thai shops. Great place. My room overlooked the beach. Great room.

Amazing stay here for the last 12 days celebrating my 40th. O at the adult bar is exceptional. A real stand out. He goes above and beyond to make your stay special. And he makes the best cocktails 😍the resort is paradise. All staff are kind. The pools are amazing

Centara Grand Beach Resort exceeded our expectations 10 fold. The resort was gorgeous with the beautifully manicured gardens & lovely babbling stream that twisted around the resort. The addition of an adult only pool was a terrific idea & I would encourage the idea of having adult only accommodation blocks & possibly eating area. The Ripples Pool Bar was staffed by an amazing young man, O. He was attentive, obliging, accomodating & wonderfully friendly which absolutely added to our overall experience. Well done O & thank you. In regard to the other staff that we encountered, they too were excellent & added to our experience. If there was anything negative to add it would be the menu selections on offer. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, it would have been terrific to see more Thai oriented options. Our room was very generous in size & with a very practical layout. Plenty of cupboard space making it easy to put things in their place. Overall we couldn't have been happier with the Centara Grand Beach Resort.

Beautiful resort and pool, great kids slides and lazy river. Amazing rooms, views, facilities, very clean everywhere around the grounds and in the rooms. Entertainment by David and Ken was a highlight. Always keeping the kids and us busy with water aerobics, beach games, DJ music and announcements 👌 fabulous place especially if you purchase the all inclusive package!

Enjoyed the resort, the staff at the Spa top notch, the Cafe not so much slow to provide service got our order wrong that my companion was still waiting for her meal when I was nearly finished if it wasn't for us flagging the staff and asking what had happened she won't have gotten anything. Another negative is that no free shuttle bus service provided at least to take you to the main shopping district as it is far from anything so be prepared to pay more for taxi service and in Phuket it's more dearer than Bangkok.

We had the most relaxing amazing stay here, absolutely beautiful and serene. The staff went above and beyond especially the pool bar staff. The breakfast buffet was amazing. Our trip was with luxury escapes which included meals and beverages, my only pick with this was I wish they included little more variety on package menu and offered all restaurants! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for your amazing hospitality.

Fantastic hotel. Upgraded our room with pool which was perfect. Views are to die for over looking the beach. Adult bar with Mr O was the best, he is such a friendly, welcoming and polite man. Definitely worth coming here just to see him.

Overall the hotel needs a overhaul. このホテルはおすすめできません。 Food: not so good，both Thai and Italian are not so good, breakfast is also below average. Room: old and lack of maintenance. We experienced many problems. We got changed to another room, but we’ve got another problem. Location: OK, but need take taxi if you want to go somewhere Service: Staff are nice and friendly The light couldn’t turn on 2 times, binds is broken, water is not hot enough. We exchanged to another room, but it’s far away from the pool and the room is smaller. Cost is not cheap so I feel not getting what I paid for. Old hotel is OK, but lack of maintenance is the main problem. You can’t expect customers to point out problems for you.

I think this is a pretty good hotel in the category of upscale but high volume hotels. It does well in terms of providing a good quality product and service at scale. It caters well to a mass market. But it must understandably sacrifice some of the things you’d expect from smaller luxury hotels. The pool with water slides, breakfast and beach is all fine. I don’t think the pool suites are worth the price because they lack privacy. They also lack blackout curtains which seems a big mistake at a resort. Everything is competent without being wow. I recommend it for families with young children who would appreciate the water slides. I wouldn’t recommend it for a luxury couples getaway. One thing though, the beach is filthy with washed up rubbish and plastic. A shame. I wish the hotel would clean it up more thoroughly.

One of the best resorts, located on the beach n covered with a lot of trees, they have a private beach. It has a lot of garden area and big swimming pool, court, spa, restaurant and many more.well maintained resort and the discipline and culture is appreciated.staff were excellent and good service. It is a good family stay and people can enjoy it, The hotels are located on top and have excellent site views. Fire shows...

The resort was amazing! The service was great, all the staff, especially the Duty Manager Jane, the entertainers David and Kanen, were really nice and considerate! They always tailored activities suitable for us, and often came around to check up on us. The activities were enjoyable, and my family had fun participating in them, including the pizza making and aerobatics. We had a pleasant time at the resort, and would definitely recommend staying at Centara Grand in Phuket to anyone that visits Phuket!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Make sure you pop in to Ripples Pool Bar to say Hi to ‘O’, the best ever Pool Bar Supervisor!! Keep an eye out for Joy at The Cove during breakfast. She will fill your day with happiness and if you’re lucky you’ll see her dancing at Dinner as well. All staff are amazing. Service is perfect. Highly recommended.

Ripples Pool Bar - what can we say?!? AMAZING! Our bar man O was such a legend. He remembered our names from day 1, and our drink choices. Always friendly with a big smile and good conversation. I would have happily spent our whole holiday at this bar, we felt like royalty. Drinks are strong and cold. We’ll done O and Ripples Pool Bar.

Our experience at Centara Grand has been fantastic, everything from the resort itself, rooms and facilities are everything you could ask for on a holiday. The staff are so friendly and accomodating and food is excellent! Highly recommend the Ripples Pool Bar and shout out to our bar attendant O, he has absolutely made our trip, his attention to detail from the first day to last and the service he provides each guest is outstanding! Genuinely polite people of Thailand experience was just doubled by friendly Centara Grand reception, restorants, pool bars and room attendants. And the great resort facility tops it up. It is our last day of our holiday. We will be back in a year time for sure. I wished you experienced it too 😎

The staff were friendly and the service was ok. The rooms are a bit old but totally clean. The pool's temperature in our room was a bit colder than I expected. The breakfast is great and you can almost find delicious food for every taste. The beach is clean and just great.

This Resort is wonderful in every way. The staff were beautiful and so friendly. The spa was amazing, so professional. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The food is excellent. Best steak I have ever had. Thankyou so much for a magic holiday and congratulations on a wonderful Resort.

The rooms feels and smell old.. very long distance to get to the pool and breakfast area (it took us 2 elevators and a long walk between them to get to our room). The pool area is fantastic and a there’s a variety of pools and sand which is great with kids. The beach is beautiful, but don’t expect any facilities on the beach- no beds, chairs or shades. We recommend eating and drinking at the restaurant by the beach - not overpriced as the restaurants at the resort and delicious food.

Ripples Pool Bar Extremely nice, fantastic service from the bartender named O. He’s so nice and welcoming. He made our time at the pool at least 10 times better! Definitely recommend others to go there. The pool is clean and the food is delicious. Very nice drinks and smoothies.

Best experience at Centara, the staff were so kind and always ensured that we were happy. Could not fault the place or the staff, beautiful hotel and beautiful people. Especially those by the pool and Nam at breakfast, so kind and hospitable.

We loved our stay. We had one Premium Spa and one Deluxe Pool room. Watching the sun rise / set as well as thunderstorms off the coast was incredible. The whole hotel was clean and staff all very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the lazy river; it washes any worries away! The breakfast had a huge variety of cuisines and dishes changed each day.

Great service, excellent rooms and right on the beach. Try to find the bar with the happy hour deal at a given hour during the day. Thai food is really good. Would suggest over the Italian but both are really pleasant. Overall, excellent service.

This place is definitely over-rated or at least not baby friendly hotel. We have been staying here with our 2 yr old son for 5 days and he ended up getting stomach flu and I almost broke my toe in children’s pool at the slide (now it is all swollen). They have very pointy/unnoticeable stairs everywhere in pool areas and my husband almost fell down at the stairs in lazy river. Our son now has bruises and scratches on his legs because of their unthoughtful stairs. The food is whatever and overpriced. Every night having their food ( whether it is Italian, Indian, or thai) was a true torture. Not good. When we walked into our room at first, we noticed an used floss pick in bathroom area, broken bathtub, or broken mirror in 5 star hotel room. When we asked for a room cleaning after 5 days, they didn’t even change the bed sheets. Really? We came to Thailand a lot and stayed at different hotels but this was by far the worst experience.

The staff here are amazing. We came here to renew our vowels and we have not been disappointed. The food is magnificent, our room was subtle luxury and although we came in the wet season we still got the sunshine we wanted. We have been treated like absolute royalty. We are only here for another few days and I’m sure I’m going to cry when I leave as they all feel like family now. A big shout out to Kookkai and her team for truly making this an unforgettable experience. I am going to miss you all so much!!! ❤️

Awesome location and great resort layout. We had the pool suite, which I wouldn't recommend as the private pools don't get much daylight so rather cold. Also the main pools are really great so you don't need it. Do being Mosquito spray and other repellents for you balcony if you have one.

Going to a Centara Grand hotel gives you quality guarantees for the price you pay. The customer service is spectacular. The hotel is located on the beachfront and has a huge swimming pool and also has some water activity areas for children. the breakfast is quite complete and there are several restaurants within the resort. Great place to chill

Stayed here for a week and had an amazing stay. Truly was an experience. Buffet breakfast had an amazing selection of foods. Dinner in coast was top notch and ate most nights here. Gym was open 24/7 and had really nice equipment plus cool air conditioning. Loved the lazy river and slides. Staff were always attentive, smiling and helpful. My only knit pick would be the price of alcohol in general across the resort and the minibar. A fair bit more expensive then the norm.

What a great place to stay. The staff were always helpful and made our stay more enjoyable, The food was terriffic, lots of choices and all cooked perfectly. The access to the beach from the pool was fantastic and made you feel like you were on your own private beach. The rooms are a good size and kept clean and tidy by the friendly staff. Would not hesitate to return here for another fantastic holiday.

We came to the resort with our daughter, son in law and granddaughter for a family holiday and we have had a wonderful time. We have four days left to enjoy the resort. My suggestions are very simple. The choices for European breakfast hasn’t changed the whole time we have been here and it is pretty average for a 5 star resort. Better choices and quality would be great. The pool filtration needs some work, the pool wasn’t always sparkling. The floors in the corridors are treacherous when wet. Maybe a non slip surface would be safer. I have slipped many times. We are on the all inclusive package and it was disappointing to have surcharges on lots of menu items and that I had to pay for a glass of wine with dinner. The resort surroundings are magnificent, rooms a bit tired but very comfortable. The staff have been just wonderful they cannot do enough for you. Particular mention to Nok, Ray and Chaplin who made our holiday complete. We are loving our time here and would come back.
