The hotel is very quiet and good for relaxation and meditation. Note, the hotel has no real beach with a good shoreline. When we were there, the beach was full of garbage such as cans and plastics. On first glance, everything is great, but upon closer inspection, I noticed a lot of issues such as cracked tiles and loose tiles in the private pool villas! Some issues with faucets and doors. For 5* hotel those things need to be taken more seriously! Location is not really good because from one side you see some manufacturers from another place you see tankers or commercial ships! To go out somewhere you have to take taxi all the time! Overall hotel is good but boring!

Don't know where to start. We stayed at Amatara for 2 nights as a family. We booked the bay view suite first but when we checked into the room we were extremely shocked how damped it was. It smelled so bad we were about to puke. The front desk staff who escorted us to the room was so bad at her job that when we keep asking to do something about the room she keeps showing us the room amenities despite pointing out the main problem. I have a son aged 3 and I couldn't wanted to take any risk by stayed a damped room. So I kept asking her to immediately comes up with a solution. She said she could fix it by odor & fragrance but that wouldn't fix the problem of a damped room. Then we asked for an upgrade but she refused saying no room were available (absurd since we noticed later that most of the rooms were available). She left the room without any solution. After waiting 20 minutes we called the reception again and one of their staff said she would let us know. We then decided that we'll change the room into next category with extra charge. We went to the reception and the lady there wouldn't even bothered to talk to us. Later one staff came with a new room key and showed us another room with a sea view. We took the room since it wasn't smelled bad. The last day when we were outside of our room heavy rainfall happened and when we stepped into the room the entrance was flooded badly. The ceiling is was leaking and the wall was swamped. Our shoes and sandals were soaked with water. The amount we’ve paid to stayed at this property didn't give us any justice rather ripped our pocket. This whole place is a scam. When we called the front desk again to fix up the flooding issue they didn't even bothered to come. How come this is even normal in a service industry when you're not ready to serve the clients. We checked out with disappointments but the staffs didn't even bothered to acknowledged their poor service. The whole property needs renovation and training on customer service. BEWARE OF THIS PROPERTY. Naming this place a Wellness resort is a total joke!!!!

Beware of huge snakes - My family and I had a terrifying ordeal. We arrived at the property around 11:30 pm. After the greeting at the reception, we sat in the buggy to visit our ocean view villa for the first time. Just as we were entering the villa area, we saw a huge snake crossing the narrow path. There are trees and plants on either side of the path and the snake was crossing over from one to the other. The guy driving the buggy was honking and the snake then moved further into the woods. We still couldn’t see either end of the snake so I guess it must have been pretty long. We then immediately reversed and went back to the reception. One more staff member got in and this time we reached our villa safely. We tried calming down and the staff assured that he never saw a snake in the 2 years he worked here. After they left, to make matters worse, we saw a big brown millipede on the wooden floor in the bedroom. We called the reception and they sent a guy over to get rid of it. He used a white napkin to catch it and then threw it into the plants. We asked him to search the villa for any more unwelcome visitors and thankfully didn’t find any. I asked him if snakes are common and he just said that they’re found naturally, whatever that means. Either way we’re kind of freaked out and the start of our stay has can terrifying.

Many great things to mention. First of all the staff, very very accommodating and friendly. Secondly the breakfast buffet, amazing choice. We stayed 10 days at this resort. The staff can also help with the rent of a scooter just outside the resort, very friendly guy. We used the motor/scooter to go over the island. There is also a daily schedule with wellness activities which are fun and well organized. All and all I would definitely recommend the resort, the prices are very good for what you get.

We liked it there! Nice resort with good views. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good too. They also offered a temporary room for us when we checked our because our flight was at night and that was so nice of them. Thanks to all the helpful staff and we would come back again!

Nice location, can see bay view or sea view in most of the rooms. Bay view room is subject to high or low tide (meaning no water in the bay at times) but still very nice. Wonderful staff wearing big smile most of the time and speak fluent English. A staff calls Jasper is wonderful and helped me to find my lost jacket very efficiently. Another staff calls Lam (maybe wrong spelling) helping us with luggage and on-ground transfer from airport to resort also provided wonderful service. Nice breakfast provides lot of variety to choose from with the backdrop of sea view. The resort provides a great swimming pool with lots of space, clean water. Joined their wellness exercise class and they provide a nice mix of different classes ranging from HIIT, yoga and candle making class - subject to an additional reasonable fee swimming pool bar - happy hour is also a wonderful choice - buy one get one free - must go get it if you stay there Too bad I did not join their spa due to schedule clash but it leaves a room for me to stay again. The only reservation is the private beach - not ideal as expected and so I did not join the kayaking as planned. But this is still a wonderful stay.

We had a lovely stay recently at Amatara for our honeymoon. If you are looking to stay in a busy area with nightlife, this is not the place for you. However if you are wanting a quiet place to relax with great amenities and beautiful scenery and pool, this is your place. The hotel is quite big and there are buggy services to take you from the lobby to your room or entrance of the street as it is quite a long walkway. The staff and service were impeccable. Our room was not ready upon check in and they offered us a complimentary massage as an apology. While the massage was nice we probably would not utilise it as a paid service as there are several places nearby for a fraction of the price. Breakfast was excellent, good selection of Thai and western food and the Thai food changes daily. If dining out I'd suggest going down the street to support the local businesses, there are a small number of decent restaurants within 5 min walking distance. We also had the pleasure of indulging in many cocktails at their pool bar, shout out to Tim for hooking us up with lots of delicious drinks (he did not hold back on the alcohol - you can definitely taste how strong the drinks are! Go at 4-6 for happy hour) The only thing we could fault during our stay was the water pressure of the shower, this was the only lacking thing left to be desired. Otherwise 4.5/5 for our stay - everything else was perfect, thank you to the staff for taking care of us and making this a memorable trip.

The service is excellent. The kids club had a lot of fun activities and their massage is amazing! Special mention to Joy, who is in charge of our booking of activities as well as giving us advice on our sightseeing trip. Overall a very relaxing stay. Only downside is that the private beach is small but no one really goes there.

Nice bay view suite but make sure to get suits in the upper floor to get the best view, as lower floor is facing either the red roof of the front buildings. Room is clean with most of the needed amenities with 2 chairs in the balcony. If you are going to sit in the balcony put mosquitoes spray. They do have good selections of breakfast with nice pastries. Swimming pool has a beautiful view over the ocean. Hotel location is nice if you are looking for quite area to spend a couple of days on. Also it is around 20 minutes drive to old town, Zipline, ATV, water park & other central activities.

Our family with 2 kids enjoyed our stay at the resort over the 5 days. Loved the pool, breakfast, buggy rides. Clean rooms and polite staff. Loved the kids club with supervising staff! Only downside is they asked the adult to stay with the kids as we have a 5 and 3 year old, because “there will be another family with 2 naughty boys coming later”… the boys were 2 and 4 years old but they didn’t ask their parents to stay with their kids but we had to, even though our kids were well behaved.

The front desk people, especially Sri, is very, ,very helpful and responsive , the best asset! The second best is the grounds, they are beautiful and, incomparable. The pools are clean and inviting. The bed and room decor very pleasing. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the housekeeping in general made small mistakes as in giving me a dirty glass, forgetting to give me fresh towels on both days of my stay.of leaving empty water bottles and their metal tops.

We had a great time at this hotel during our stay in 9/2022. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and offered amazing complimentary activities and free laundry for a few items. We got the pool vila with a huge bathroom and tub perfectly centered in the structure for a romantic evening for 2; overlooking the ocean (wasn’t too nice due to low tide), but overall a great experience! We would not hesitate to come back and enjoy this beautiful hotel with family and friends. This hotel is not the newest one, nor was the TV great, but given the customer service, and overall atmosphere, It give it 4 stars.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Shout out to Arno at the moon bar for a great friendly service. The infinity pool is just stunning, food is amazing and the pool pavilion is the stuff of dreams! Have stayed in few 5 star resorts before and Amatara is not over the top flash, its still luxurious but authentic at the same time. they leverage on the amazing views and create an amazing ambience with their night low yellow hidden lights. Thanks to everyone at Amatara who made the holiday perfect especially after 2 years of lockdown in Australia.

We spent almost 2 weeks at the resort, we liked it very much. The service was excellent and the quality of food was good. Our daughter (3 years old) loved the kids club - if you are with small kids, this is such a perk. The beach - while private - is rather small and underinvested. That said, the pool is awesome and makes up for it.

Beautiful resort only let down by attention to detail. Our ocean view pool villa was fantastic — peaceful, private and spacious — but not all of them are completely private, so request one of the better ones in advance if you can. The staff were generally pleasant and helpful, but we they weren’t really sure of the government requirements for the Test & Go program, which we ended up completing ourselves. This may not be entirely the hotel’s fault as the government was adjusting the rules, but we did expect that they could confirm the details for us. The resort is about 1 hour from the airport, so expect to pay more than ฿1,000 in each direction for a taxi. Allow around ฿800 return to go to Old Phuket Town, so we ended up renting a car to explore the island at our own pace. The breakfast buffet is reasonable, but we found the poolside drinks and snacks to be below average. Overall though, we had a great stay and would consider returning in the future.

Exceptional stay with dedicated and professional staff. Cannot thank the team at Amatara enough for the warm and welcoming experience. Spa and wellness was too good and the room service was amazing - food presentation was next level. Our 15 day stay at the pool villa was something we needed for our 10 year wedding anniversary and we cannot thank the team enough for going above and beyond. We will definitely be returning with family.

We did stay there due 14 nights quarantine as Phuket Sandbox in October 2021. We stayed in Sea View Suite. The room has a good size with a useful floor plan. Not only that, it is located close to the swimming pool and the lobby. The swimming pool has a panoramic view to the sea. Stunning. Food was very delicious. We enjoyed so much food out there - breakfast, lunch and dinner. High hands for all in the kitchen - you did an amazing job. They would cook anything possible for you. Spa was also fantastic. The therapists are professional and did an excellent job. All staffs have true service minds which it is pretty rare to find from the real good 5* resort. Overall, we really had a wonderful time at Amatara Wellness Resort. Everything was great with an excellent note. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay at Amatara! We will never forget the excitement we felt when we arrived at the hotel. Beyond the extremely warm welcome from the Amatara Team (special mention to Kylie), we were absolutely amazed by the magnificence of the hotel! We personally stayed in one of their incredible Pool Pavilion with private pool and sea view. If you’re looking to live an unforgettable luxury experience, then this room is for you! Also, as a wellness resort, the hotel offers a multitude of wellness treatments & activities - which I promise will make you want to stay at Amatara for a long, very long time! Just like the food which is absolutely delicious with 3 signature restaurants offering highly refined cuisine! As frequent travelers, we are used to visiting many hotels around the world, and we can assure you that the Amatara is worth the journey!

My wife and I stayed here and we had the most amazing time at this property. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Joy attend us during check in and greeted with summer drinks, garlands and a welcome card and then transferred to our villa in a golf caddy. Each and every staff member that we came across was very polite and respectful. The property was top notch and all our needs were taken care of. The ocean view pool villa was one of a kind and we will definitely being going back and recommending this to our friends and family.

Second time in this dreamy resort. A paradise ! Litteraly one of my favorite hotel on earth ! The villas and the suites with private pools are sublimes. The rooms are design with taste. The vegetation is luxuriant. The breakfast is insanely good. The staff so nice and will answer any of your needs. A luxury experience. Perfect for a romantic getaway !

The property is beautifully made and is scenic but I feel they can improve their service slightly while responding to guests requests. They have beautiful restaurants, a pool and lobby area but the private beach isn't worth it. It has many activities for the guests which makes it a good place to stay esp for people looking to relax and enjoy the property itself. It's in south Phuket so the entire area shuts down early at night.

Great food varieties across all restaurants and the most amazing views. Peaceful and quiet. Everything felt premium including the service. Special thanks to staff member Joy at the frontdesk.

Very close to the Mekong River, this hotel is very well placed with lots of free parking available. Very nice rooftop bar with many cocktails and beers to choose from. Breakfast was ok, not the greatest-but you will be able to find something to help start the day. The rooms are comfortable and simple. These are well priced too so we’ll worth the visit.

Fantastic staff they give it the small personal touches that most places don't. Overall this is a lovely relaxing place to stay the only downsides are that the rooms are starting to get a bit tired and care worn. And the food is typical resort food of a lower standard but don't be put off as it is a lovely place to relax.

What a fantastic experience! We stayed at the bay view pool villa--the room and views were stunning, and there is so much to do on property! Joy, Nui, and Jasper at the front desk were absolutely delightful and super helpful. We absolutely loved it!

It is the first time for me to stay at Amatara Welleisure Resort. I fell in love with the incredibly beautiful seaview from the resort and the good services since I arrived. I like their main swimming pool and the bar a lot. My boyfriend and I chose to stay in a pool pavilion, the room with a private pool. I love it so much. We also enjoyed the view and our dinner at Sun & Moon Rooftop Bar on the first night. We were lucky that there was not much rain in daytime during our stay. If you want to go out and taste the local restaurants in the nearby area, you can book a golf car, they can send you at the entrance of the resort. The golf car service is available 24 hours. We had an impressive experience and we were so happy to stay here.

Amatara is an excellent hotel. the staff were so kind, the views are stunning, the room was beautiful and there are so many great amenities (gym, yoga platform, pool…etc.) I would highly recommend. The only aspect to note is that it is in quite a remote part of the island but we got a moped so it wasn’t an issue. It is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in (probably the best)

I had an incredible experience at Amatara Resort! The room quality exceeded my expectations, and the breathtaking ocean view added a magical touch to my stay. The lady at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, making our time at the hotel truly special. I'm already looking forward to returning – a definite must for anyone seeking a memorable and delightful retreat!

This resort is Gorgeous with a capital G! The rooms are splendid and the property is scenic. The Spa is great and the pvt pool is so much fun. We stayed here for 4 nights & this would be one of our top resorts. I was not very happy with some of the staff considering this is a premium property. We missed our 5am tour pickup and the front office manager did not even bother to inform us. He had no clue how to fix the problem and after much persuasion he was able to follow our lead on solving the issue.. ofcourse we made it to our tour. A staff member in the restaurant also could do with some customer service lessons. But then I guess the property trumped all of this and we would definitely go back here! It's a little away from the main city but has enough of little things happening on the outside street. Highly recommended!

We had the most incredible time staying at Amatara for our honeymoon. The room was beautiful and kept very well by daily cleaning staff. The pool area with the infinity pool is stunning and the water so clean. The bars were brilliant and offered a great range of choices. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly and the food at the restaurants is impeccable. The service and quality of the experience at Amatara are exceptional. The spa was also a brilliant ex pt. We had the Hamman experience and the Signature massage twice, as well as a learn to massage each other session. The atmosphere was so relaxing and the treatments were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it and again the staff were brilliant and made you feel so relaxed and comfortable. We are recommending Amatara to everyone we know and already can't wait to go back.

An amazing experience start to finish, the hotel is beautiful, rooms finished to very high standards and the wellness retreat options and standard were the best I have had. Above all of that, all of the staff were so personable, friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. The waiters and waitresses at Senses restaurant and the pool bar were particularly friendly and helpful, as were all of the wellness masseuses and doctors. Would highly recommend

I am thrilled to share my experience at the Amatara Wellness Hotel, which was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome, and the stunning view from my room left me absolutely breathless. The hotel is immaculately maintained and exudes a serene atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind and relax. The wellness facilities are truly top-notch, and I found myself completely rejuvenated after my stay. The spa treatments were especially outstanding, and I felt completely pampered and revitalized. But what really sets this hotel apart is the incredible staff, specially Jasper , she was over welcoming and supportive, she made an upgrade to a villa without even asking her to. Every person I encountered went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. From the concierge to the housekeeping staff, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Overall, I would highly recommend the Amatara Wellness Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing getaway. The perfect stay, amazing views, and helpful staff all add up to a five-star experience that is truly unforgettable.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay in a bay view villa with pool. The resort itself was beautiful, all of the staff were excellent, the restaurant was wonderful. We had no regrets in choosing this over some slightly more affordable 5-star hotels - it was worth it all. If you're debating between the sea view and the bay view, I'd consider that at low tide in the bay it gets quite empty, in case that bothers you for aesthetics or photography. For those who really care about the private beach of your hotel - this one is nice, but the sand is fully submerged at high tide. It didn't bother us as we didn't plan to spend all day on the sand, except for a day that we went to a public beach elsewhere. The only valid reasons I can think of for you to choose another resort would be that the private beach is your top priority, or you really care about being as close as possible to the old town or Patong.

We had an amazing time there. For 7 nights 8 days, we got relaxed and excellent experience. The bay view villa 43, located at the corner of the bay has a beautiful view. All staff is professional and well knowledgeable. We love the bartender at the Sun and Moon bar. Foods at the restaurant were incredible too, especially steak. This is our first here...but we would definitely come back again.

The resort is very comfy and safe and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Joy as she helped us with everything that we needed and recommended activities to do and places to visit and was always ready to help or answer questions. Also all staff members were very friendly, we would also like to thank Pan for her great service and for being very friendly and sweet to us. We also loved our bay view villa and it has high privacy and all the things that you will need during your stay. We loved our stay there so much! Hope to visit again soon ! Ester & Yazan

We stayed for 3 nights. There were 3 main issues. 1) F&B was very poor. My husband is vegetarian. He asked the confirm the penne whether it was veg. meal. The staff confirmed. After he was eating, a piece of chicken was there. This is not acceptable. We also ordered room service, for example, veg. pad thai. We found spoiled bean spout and smelly tofu. I already showed it to HK who were doing cleaning at that time. 2) Overall service level was poor. With the experience of staying five-star accomodations, I personally noticed the service quality did not meet the standard. I compromised and understood that the pandemic might cause the lower service quality. For example, we went to have breakfast. The staffs were less likely to offer service to guests. Over the breakfast, we never experience seating allocation at the breakfast table, no thank you, no service offering when you carried many food plates in hand. On top of that, my husband ate chicken, no proper apology and empathy from the staffs. Plus, room service staff did not speak with good tone of voice. I am not sure because I am Thai that why the staffs tend to not give good service. I hope, not. I gave this comment because the staffs were likely to offer greeting to foreigners, delivering coffee to the table, etc. 3) The room had ants on bed. HK assisted to contact the front office if ants were back. They didn't come on the second night but the third night returned. This issue was unexpected from a luxury wellness resort. From my experience, I would not recommend this resort to my friends.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at your hotel! The staff was incredible - friendly, helpful, and The only suggestion I would have for improvement is in the area of food options. While the vegetarian and seafood dishes were delicious, I personally found the lack of halal options a bit limiting. Offering a few halal dishes on the menu, or even providing information on nearby halal restaurants, would be a welcome addition for Muslim guests like myself. truly went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The spa's wellness program was an absolute highlight of my stay. The treatments were exceptional, and the overall experience was top-notch. However, I would suggest considering offering more flexible pricing options or promotional packages to attract a broader audience.

I recently stayed at Amatara Resort and dined for six days at their Senses Restaurant. The experience was nothing short of incredible. The food was both delicious and healthy, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was truly amazing. The waiters, especially Oil and Nin, were exceptionally kind, remembering my dietary needs after my colonic and my favorite drinks. Their attention to detail made my meals there very special. Throughout my stay at Amatara, the service was outstanding, starting from the moment I made my booking. Boom at the reception was incredibly welcoming and kind, contributing greatly to the quality of my stay. The spa staff, particularly the ladies who assisted me and the nurse who facilitated my colonic therapy, were helpful and made sure I was comfortable and well-informed. Even the housekeeping staff added a delightful touch to my room, creatively arranging towels into cute shapes like bunnies, which brought a smile to my face every day. I highly recommend Amatara Resort and Senses Restaurant to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service, great food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The dedication of the staff to guest satisfaction is evident in every aspect of their service.
