„ghost hotel” currently post covid, does have resort feel which is great, has a great location, very nice 5* deluxe rooms with very nice view in right wing BUT rooms have malfunctioning A/C thermostats in multiple rooms (two of our friends had same issues- either you’re sweaty got or freezing cold), personnel nice but service poor, breakfast was very poor, they didn’t even have fresh juice. Low quality food served, danish cheapest possible ones. Pool was nice but I felt it could be managed better and cleaner (not the water itself, but tiles and paint all around it stains and faideddark paint and floor panels). We paid 90usd/ night b&b, not worth it.

This place has a lot going for it: nice, clean and very big rooms (even the standard size). A beautiful pool and several other amenities (closed because of the Covid outbreak). The staff was friendly and ready to help. They also spoke English quite well. Two things to be aware off: going to your room requires a steep climb / stairs, or a ride with their golf cart. Fine for me, but might be a deal breaker for older or less mobile people. Second, the breakfast was table service, not buffet style (again, due to Covid) and it was pretty good, especially the Thai options. The coffee was absolutely horrible though, which is a shame for a luxury resort. Be prepared and take your own if this is important to you. As an added bonus, the room rate is more than reasonable right now, again due to Covid, and Naiharn is by far the liveliest place on the island now, since Kata, Karon, and Patong are ghost towns.

This hotel is amazing staff are friendly and helpful. The location is a bit out of the way but the view's are beautiful. Beware though it is on a hill and steps up to room's but there is a shuttle bus and lifts. 10 minutes walk to a beautiful beach and a 20 minute walk to main bar's and shop's. Highly recommend 👌.

Beautiful hotel with amazing service, shuttle bus to take you to your room whenever you want and also to the beach every hour. Buffet breakfast was also amazing everyday with something different and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Happy hour cocktails were also a highlight

Checked in for my quarantine stay and it was a very lovely night! The front office manager, Pook, is very kind and friendly and even though I arrived early they kindly readied my room for an earlier check in. While waiting, Gitarre tested to some refreshing coconut ice cream! Everyone from the porters, the buggy drivers to the room service were very professional and polite. Pools are nice and clean. Amenities in the room were very good. And the morning breakfast is rich and varied. Suitable for families as well as alone or with friends.

I was in Putong before this and didn't like it as it as I was constantly being "grabbed". Nai harn, is nice and relaxing, there's a chill vibe. The hotel is close to the beach and breakfast is buffet syle. Not lavish but good, great latte and mocha! The staff are amazing, and the rooms are big and beautifuly decorated with really comfortable beds. There are 4 pools all side by side as well as a water slide. The beach is a 5 min walk with lots of restaurants. The food is soso. I loved the waves at this beach. Reception was wonderful with coconut popsicles served while I waited. The hotel is on a giant hill so you can take time exploring the hotel and find little interesting things. 5 min away by bike is another beach you can kayak for 100bhat I would really recommend the hotel and area for a couple or if you just want to be left alone.

Sunsuri Phuket Resort - Luxury resort with a great view, large rooms, and waterpark swimming pool. Sunsuri Phuket Resort is a 4.5-star resort located in Naiharn Beach, the southernmost part of Phuket, with a total of 132 rooms. Sunsu-ri Phuket Resort opened in 2013 and was built on a mountain hill surrounding the Naiharn Beach, boasting a wonderful view. The front of Sunsuri Phuket Resort is Naiharn Lake, the back is a mountain that winds around Naiharn Beach, and Naiharn Beach and the sea nearby, making it one of the best natural resorts. Advantages are a much larger rooms than a five-star resort deluxe room, a nice view, a water park swimming pool that surpasses a five-star resort swimming pool, and friendly service from staffs. The distance from Sunsuri Phuket Resort to Naiharn Beach is about 300 to 400 meters, so you can walt to the beach easily. The resort offers free shuttle buses five times a day. There is no shopping mall in front of the resort because it is a lake, but if you go 300-400 meters in the direction of Naiharn Beach on the right side of the resort, you can meet various street vendors and Naiharn Beach restaurant area.

Fantastic hotel, great rooms with a stunning view. Pool and bar area is great with ample room, water slide and a dive board. My only comment would be the location. There isn’t a great deal within a short walking distance and the bar within the hotel wasn’t very busy at night at all. We ended up getting a taxi to the nearest village to go for a few drinks instead. Other than that, it was a really lovely hotel with great staff, service and a good breakfast. I would highly recommend as long as you are aware that the bar on an evening doesn’t get much of an atmosphere.

Ideally located hotel, 5 mins walk to the beach, 10 mins walk to many restaurants, bars and massage parlours. Rooms are large with nice views from the upper levels, although quite a lot of stairs to reach some of them. Breakfast is more than sufficient although of only average quality and certainly not a 5* hotel. The standard of pastries and juices could be improved; however the staff are lovely. Pool area is pleasant when it’s not busy. Overall, the lobby and central area is nice but walking around the complex it becomes obvious that there has been a lack of maintenance and upkeep. Small improvement could make this a very pleasant place but right now it’s a good 3-4 star hotel.

It is a hotel where the service from the staff is good. The staff are polite and ready to give you a warm welcome. Bedding is provided every day after waking up. Very nice and calm hotel

Beautiful & Modern! Great location, right by Naiharn lake and beach. Hotel is gorgeous too. Rooms have great interior, comfy and clean. Best parts are the pool and food! Pool is super fun with a slide for kids. Food was authentic and delicious. Great stay for the price!

Pros: Beautiful hotel and rooms, well furnished. 15min walk to beach, or take a shuttle. Good gym and swimming pool. Best breakfast buffet spread and high culinary skills I've experienced. Cons: Housekeeping not up to same standards, missing bathroom amenities, that can be requested for. Verdict: Well worth the value, I would recommended this to friends and family.

I rate Sunsuri at 4.8. It is not 5 because we were a bit disappointed at the dinner quality. Some dishes we ordered did not match the description on the menu & some we had to return. However the staff were all very friendly, apologetic & tried to rectify the problem. The WIFI in the room is relatively slow & the screen frequently went to processing even watching YouTube. The front desk staff was friendly & helpful. We would like to thank the Reservation Manager, Ms Pook, for arranging our transportation needs. Her help & prompt response to our other needs really enhanced our enjoyment for the whole stay. We really appreciate her help. The property is very nice. Walking distance to Nai Harn Beach which has fine sands. You can sign out beach towels at the front desk if you go out to the beach. There is a beach bag in the room for your use. That comes in very handy. The room is very spacious & comfortable. The towel/cloth rack at the balcony is useful should you prefer to wash your clothes. There were 7 hangers in our room. The room cleaning staff work hard & they always have a smile on their face. One minus side is that some resort guests just smoked at the pool not in the designated smoking area & some people smoked marijuana at their balcony. That adversely affected our enjoyment of the property.

Had an amazing experience at this hotel! Will be coming back next year. -very good and spacious rooms -three big pools and pool bar -very friendly and nice staff -amazing Sail restaurant. Delicious menu. We went to this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we had the most delicious food there. -beach is only 10 min walk When we were there, the hotel hosted market with live music, fire show and great food.It was great experience. Most importantly, very friendly staff including drivers, severs, animators ,receptionists, and others made out stay even greater. Everyone is very approachable and makes your experience more pleasant. If you need something, they will make it happen. Such nice people. If not them, we might have a different experience.

We stayed for a week in a villa, gorgeous. Restaurant food is great. Dinner buffet choices change all the time. Kids loved everything they ate. Poolside, the staff are amazing. They remembered everyone and where you were sitting. Nothing was too hard for them. A visit to the Soothe Day spa is a must as well. There's hills to walk up to your rooms, but if you don't want to, they have plenty of shuttles who can drop you off. 10/10, loved it. Will be back

A must place to stay to experience the other side of Phuket if you would like to skip mainstream Patong area. Less crowds, quiet & privacy. Huge swimming pool. Staffs are great & helpful! Stayed in private pool villa & tried their aquatic floating lunch! Get to enjoy our cool sunset view from our pool. The best part is everything we needed provided in the room e.g beach slipper, beach tote bag etc. Free shuttle to Nai harn beach or you can cycling as bicycle is provided for guest. Beautiful beach & wave is great for surfing. We do enjoy our stay in this resort ☺️

Good hotel for a relaxing holiday. The sandy beach within walking distance is well suited for families with children. Near the lake for walking and jogging around it.

We spent 11 wonderful nights in Sunsuri's deluxe pool villa. The villa was quite a treat - spacious, private, clean and immaculately presented. The bed was enormous and so comfortable! We had the best sleeps (we love a firm mattress) Our private pool was quite special and our 11 year old spent most of his time in there. The Sunsuri building itself is understated, blending into the surrounds, highlighting the lush green gardens. All the staff go out of their way to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable time - always smiling and ready to help. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of Thai and Western foods. We loved the chicken noodle soups and the delicious Thai style eggs. The Sunsuri pools are pretty amazing, there's even a diving board if you're brave enough! As the resort is set on a hill, there are plenty of stairs - a great leg workout and kept us fit. Nai Harn beach is only a 5 minute walk. We loved it here and would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff for making our time so special.

Very friendly staff and good food! Their amenities are very aesthetic and fun also. Although location is a bit far from old town of Phuket but proximity to Nai Harn beach is only 3-5 minutes walk.

Great place, awesome rooms and super large swimming pools with a slide and diving area! Polite and very friendly staff who catered well to us. The only area for improvement can be some Indian vegan options for breakfast buffet but being fair to the hotel does not seem like many Indians stay here. This is on the quieter and greener side of Phuket much away from the hustle bustle.

Wonderfully chilled vibe. The hotel grounds have been planned well; a few hide-away areas by the pool, nice veranda to have a mid-afternoon drink. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Above all, the staff at the hotel were amazing; very attentive and helpful. I was not sure which hotel to pick, and very glad I decided to stay at Sunsuri!

We love the Sunsuri! Great resort in a great spot! Short walk to the beach, and lots of places to eat in the area. The resort is beautiful, the staff are very helpful, breakfast is great and we stayed in a pool villa which really was our own private oasis. Will definitely return to Sunsuri!

Sunsuri is a beautiful hotel especially in rhe pool villa where we stayed for 10 nights. Cannot fault this place at all!! Breakfast was fantastic as lots of varieties. Shuttle bus service was always there when we need a trip to our room or too hot to walk to the close by beach. Highly recommend this place.

The stay was excellent and wonderful!! And this hotel is highly recommended!! Me and my husband were staying in the beautiful pool villa for our late honeymoon. The stay was nice and quiet. The villa I stayed comes with a high ceiling so we feel breathable and there are high trees surrounded the villa for our privacy. The villa was full of activity and relaxing combination with a private jacuzzi pool. This was our first trip after the Covid pandemic and it was a very much pleasant and romantic stay. There are full with amenities we need for the stay in place in the room and the housekeepers have done their great jobs replacing and restocking amenities and clean towels daily. There are beach towels had been prepared in the room ready to use. The staffs were greatly providing great supports. They are very polite and respectful. The hotel is providing a scenic view and has a very beautiful private swimming pool with a slider for fun play with families and friends. There are a big beautiful decorated reception and also a big gym with full of exercise equipments available to use. The hotel morning breakfast were great and very tasty. There are a daily special local menu provided for each day with a different menu daily. We were having breakfast with a beautiful swimming scenery and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel located nearby Nai Harn beach and only 6 mins drives to Rawai beach and Cape Phrom Thep. We are best highly recommended this SUNSURI PHUKET for your stay and you won’t be disappointed!!

Couldn't get my room on time but the hotel gave me a late checkout. All the staff was very friendly, had an great time in this resort. Large rooms, multiple swimming pools, gym, and family friendly. My only regret is not to stay longer.

Best hotel ever in phuket I kept it for the last 2 days The breakfast chef Mr.Pond and his stuff best thing you may see in the morning really friendly people The stuff in the hotel make you feel happy anytime you see them I recommend the pool villa really large swimming pool

Honestly, I would recommend everyone to stay here. Prices are fair and the staff are going above and beyond for your needs. Just the front desk staff could be a bit more friendly and more helpful and their English knowledge could also need some improvement. At least because they are catering to lots of tourists to everywhere in the world. The rooms were very spacious and the views were great. The house is dated and could need some repairs and paint jobs, and the pool needs a good clean. But we had an amazing time and the staff at the hotel bar were on top of things, friendly and super helpful. The food was good, the coffee could be a bit better and not out of a machine. The bed was huge and extremely comfy and the air condition worked perfectly. We will be back for sure. Loved our stay, but it definitely was not a 5 star. I would give 4.5 if that would be possible.

  • 3/5 P G. 11 months ago on Google
Booked a room with pool which was lovely. The view was amazing. Room could have been cleaner after chambermaid visits, which were in the evening on each occasion. The breakfast was adequate. Restaurant meals were disappointing. Overall tidiness could be improved - there was a bikini and child swimming costume caught in tree branches which had been there some time. Staff engagement was hit and miss. Usually very polite when approached, but never anticipating what your needs might be - it took a long time to get a drink refill at the restaurant for example. Overall, I would have been disappointed had we not booked the room with pool.

Nice and friendly staff, just near a quiet beach ‘’Nai Harn’’ And the swim pool here is stunning 🤩 Let me late check out around two pm without a minute. The only small issue is the light of the room is romantic but a little bit dark😹 The rest is fantastic and worth for the price👌🏻

Enjoyed a private pool villa with my wife for 5 days. Thoroughly enjoyed morning runs around the premises and the nearby lake. The pool is very well structured in unique sections. Great for family and couples alike. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable, though with most excursions leaving very early, I was hoping they would have opened up a bit earlier. Spa was very clean with very professional friendly staff and therapists. Bikes were fun to ride, but not in the best condition. Gym had everything necessary to feel like I could do a reasonable bit of resistance exercises. Really had no complaints, as it fully met my expectations.

If you want to get away from tailors, hawkers, taxi and tut tut drivers then this is the place for you. Fresh air sandy beaches and a relaxed lifestyle, an artificial lake that trim taught terrific people run around morning into night. 3 0 mins from patong. Taking into consideration that we stayed at sunsuri only two weeks after thailand dropped the thai pass and the expensive travel insurance, l question if you can still call the resort five star if the spa, sip restaurant bar is closed and the buffet breakfast is now a la cart, just saying. But apart from the down falls we enjoyed our stay. There is also a new resort to be built next door (novetel) and a lot of building activity so the area is on the up.

Having had a week at the Sofitel krabi standards were high and unfortunately the sunsuri didn’t live up to the same standards. The hotel itself is in a great location for the beach bars restaurants etc . My gripe was the place was a little tired needed some Tlc ! Our kids absolutely loved the pool with the diving platform all be it I felt a lifeguard would be good as there was no safety regulations. The gentleman doing pool activities was amazing he deserves a shout the kids loved him he works so hard … Also in terms of guests the hotel seemed to be mainly Russian and would of been nice to have more of a mixed vibe like the Sofitel where we made some great friends . Happy hour was good as well . Thanks

Greeted with a refreshing coconut popsicle and water by the friendly, welcoming staff. Location was nice but a number of excursion companies did not want to pick up from the location because it was slightly remote. However, we had no problem using apps to request taxis and the staff was very helpful to request taxis for us, as well. Resort was beautiful, although the steps were rather steep leading up from the main walkway. Our room was amazing (loved the infinity pool and claw tub). Shower water never got hot (just lukewarm) and our bed was mishaped (sloping down on one side), but tub water was very hot (so we used tub most of the time) and bed was still comfortable. Cleaning staff were great. There was a shuttle to transport us to local beach (Nai Harn) and security guards at gate who assisted us to get across the street, which were both pluses. The Loy Krathong Festival was going on while we were here, so we frequently visited the park across the river from resort. Staff was absolutely amazing, food was great (loved all of the Asian cuisine—Pho, Dim Sum, etc.), and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Many thanks to the wonderful staff for making our stay so special!

This resort provided very premium services right from check-in until check-out. Great pool and good breakfast. Our room is clean and comfortable facing Nai Harn beach with sunset view. Basic toiletries were provided, with slippers, pool towel, beach towel, beach bag available. There is also a basement carpark for guests. Me and my wife loved our vacation here!

A great room: sea view and lagoon view, hotel not crowded, staff is quite polite. Minus: Do NOT take Half Board Plus, it is not worth it. We made the mistake and regret it: lots of places around, while you sort of ‘know you have to tick this box daily’ and in the hotel you cannot even order food it the top floor of the restaurant.

  • 5/5 Marta R. 1 year ago on Google
Nice staff, nice breakfast, 24h tuk tuk service to the room and great pools!

  • 4/5 Bowie van E. 1 year ago on Google
Pro's: - Helpful and very friendly staff - Nice pool with a slide and dive board - great view - Close to the beach Con's: - Outdated rooms and old bath room (ours had mold) - There are some restaurants near the beach, others are further away and harder too reach. Notes: - Due to being a hill side hotel there is a greater distance and clime from and to your room. There is a car that can drive you to your room. Might not be best choice for people that are less mobile.

I'm nearly 50 and thought I'd give the waterslide a go... the best 30 seconds I've had in Phuket so far. It's faster than you think and lots of fun. I loved my stay at Sunsuri. The staff are friendly, and Chef Pond's tasty cooked-to-order breakfasts were the reason I'd wake up before 9am. Huge savings on rooms at the moment, well worth a stay.
