This museum tells you the story of the evolution of postal mail in Thailand. Everything is very well preserved and explained well. If you are visiting Phuket town, be sure to visit this museum. Free admission. I recommend this post office museum 100%. Enjoy Phuket town!! Enjoy Thailand!!

A slightly odd little museum dedicated to the Thai postal service. Has some interesting old Post office setups for photo opportunities. Entrance is free. There's also a lot of old stamps and such, and some postal office related souvenirs available for purchase

It is right next to the postal office. Entrance is free. You can buy some nice collector's stamps here, there is no line. There are a bunch of exhibits here but no real stamps on display. Come here to buy local stamps instead of waiting on queue at the postal office.

Beautifully restored old Phuket post office building and now converted into a philatelic museum. The front area is a parking lot so it ruins the view of this historic structure so wish they can create an alternative parking space to keep the facade and area more pristine. The new post office is just right beside the building so pop by the museum if you’re doing any mailing or business with the post office in the island.

You can stop by while passing by; five minutes is enough to see everything.

A small museum tracing the entire history of philately in Thailand. In a separate hall (small room) the post office counter of the late 19th - early 20th century (approximately) is recreated, telegraph machines and telephones are located. A separate stand (part of the wall) is dedicated to the history of philately in Southeast Asia (neighboring countries). Overall, nothing special, but interesting for philately lovers and simply to broaden their horizons.

The good point it is free. And the stuff are nice and friendly, but the exposition is limited. Only for one-time visit.

I had a disappointing experience visiting this museum. The museum is quite small, and you can easily see everything inside in just 5 minutes. But the lack of proper cooling made it unbelievably hot inside. All I could think about was how to leave there faster. Also the staff didn't seem friendly and showed no interest.

This is a great museum in a very cool historic building, with free admission! If you’re a stamp & postal service lover, especially, this is a fabulous place to visit with great Thai stamp art and an “olden days” post office recreation. The staff here are very kind and helpful, too.

Had some fun history of the postal service in Thailand. But the building itself is in need of repairs. Watch your footing as there are several places where the floor is giving in or tile is broken up. Unless you're really a postal service enthusiast I'm not sure it's worth your time. Also, know they close for lunch from 12-1pm.

👍👍 We were booked on a catamaran day tour with another company but they changed our tour to another day so we cancelled. We booked a tour with Seastar through a local tour desk - AS tours I think. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to the check in location. This was all a little disorganised but...
