I love this place! Gorgeous , rich in history and amazing location. Traditional with a touch of modern. After a certain timing the gates will close for additional safety. Do note that there is no lift since its a traditional house.

The building is truly beautiful. A real gem and perfect spot for photos. You feel like you've stepped back in time. The team at reception is just great. Very friendly and helpful at all times. Many thanks for that! The vending machine in the lobby has drinks for reasonable prices The location of the hotel is perfect: lots of restaurants, bars, shops, massage studios and so on only a few steps away. However, the historical ambience of the building also has some minor drawbacks: unfortunately, the rooms have no soundproofing. There is always some light shining through the skylight in the room door. We stayed in the Junior Suite which offers significantly more space (recommended for longer stays). Unfortunately, the room cleaning was mediocre.

This place has character. Period. It's a gorgeous property where every inch has an aesthetic appeal. Unfortunately I stayed for only a day but it was easy to get to by public bus from the airport. Right in the heart of old Phuket town. The service and the whole appeal of the hotel is exquisite. The rooms a bit on the smaller side were very cozy and comfortable. A definite must stay at.

We stayed for 10 days and have never felt more at home. The hotel is lovely, with lots of little courtyards to sit and work from. The staff are incredibly lovely and very helpful and attentive. Rooms are well appointed and cleaned daily. The location is perfect, close to all the cafes and restaurants of Phuket Old Town but on a quieter street. Be sure to include the Sunday Walking Market in your to-do list!

Got to the hotel, to a room and went to get lunch. I came back and then noticed the bed is really soft and way too uncomfortable. Asked the staff to change a room but they said all beds are the same. So I asked to check out and get a refund as it was only 2 hours after checking in. They said the manager doesn’t agree to refund. I asked to talk with the manager who refused to get out of his office and instead sent the receptionist to say there’s nothing they can do. I ended up checking out right away just to get out of this place. Rooms look very old and not well maintained. Bed is the cheapest they could find. Nothing good I can say about the place or staff. This is one of the hotels that looks so different than the pictures.

Love this historic hotel with old charm! Convenient location, clean with great staff who are ready to help. Special thanks to Alan at the reception desk. Whose willing to go the extra mile! Came for a week and stayed for a month!

Come to this hotel because of I Told Sunset About You. I’m not staying, just hanging out at the lobby and enjoying the breezy wind. This place must be so popular because a lot of tourist staying here. Also the location is also a photogenic location too.

This place is awesome, such a perfect location in the middle of Phuket town. It has a beautiful design, so nice that people always come in to take pictures which is a bit annoying. Best part is it’s also really affordable.

This is a really special place to stay, ok, there is no pool or beach and the upstairs rooms have thin walls so you can sometimes hear the other guests but the hotel is absolutely beautiful, they just don't build them like this anymore. All through the hotel you will find instagram worthy pieces of art and decor. The thing that really makes this place shine though is the staff, they are really friendly and helpful and actually know what they are doing so they can get you much cheaper transport and tell you where to find the most obscure things.

Such a cute hotel and had no idea the history behind it before staying!! It’s right in the center of everything in old Phuket town. No need for scooters or taxis you can literally walk to all the great little local bars, cafes and restaurants. No noise pollution either which was great! Thank you to all the staff for you hospitality

Beautiful colonial hotel located right in Phuket Old Town. If you are one who needs to sleep in complete silence and darkness, this place is not for you. As it is a very old building, you can hear people's footsteps as well as when they close the doors. There are creeking sounds through the day too, I guess this is a common problem with old buildings. You can see from my photo that light does get into the room in the morning. They also do not provide bedroom slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste. These are not dealbreakers for me though. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Just putting these here in case these are dealbreakers for some! Oh they also provide free parking at the next building if you drive.

What a charming hotel in the heart of Old Town! This is our second visit to Phuket City and the location cannot be beat! We love the traditional feel of the building, but with the comforts of recent renovations. Love seeing so many people taking pics at the entrance/lobby on the way to our room. :) Warning: No elevator, so be sure to ask for 1st floor if this is an issue.

A beautiful nostalgia themed hotel - but two big drawbacks. The worst balcony I’ve ever seen - it’s shared with another room, no view at all, you are in a tiny cement walled square looking at ugly walls covered by mold, fungus and leaking water pipes. Mosquito inhabited too. The other drawback for car drivers is that there is no parking at all - so be prepared to carry bags quite a long way. This is a busy area with not enough street parking for the many hotels…

The good: it's affordable, it's quiet even when the hotel is along the main road. The bad: I understand hotel wanted to evoke nostalgia when guests stay at the hotel. In some of the rooms tho, there are some creepy decors like dolls, etc. You can let the staff know if you are uncomfortable and would want to move to a different room. The best: it's very central. Everything is walking in old town from this hotel.

A wondful experience at the On On hotel. Super comfortable beds. Just be aware that there are no lifts here and that the hotel doesn’t offer many of the service amenities normally expected in a hotel. I would have given 5 stars but the housekeeping department was a little haphazard. Leaving cleaning materials behind in the room and not arriving on one of the days (despite the sign being put out by 11am). But all in all, very helpful and friendly reception staff. And the location couldn’t be better.

Prime location in old town Phuket. Room is decent, clean and has everything you need. Older style but has improvements to be more modern. Nothing over the top or anything extraordinary, decent place for a few nights. Likely the best option for the area

Five stars on our Jr. Suite room, the hotel common areas and location in Phuket town. This place is very instagram ready! Two stars at best on the non-friendly vibe we received at checked-in by the hotel reception staff. Started off a bit challenging to get someone’s attention (three ladies behind the counter with one ranting about a problem that should not have been seen by any patron), no happy smiles or “welcome to the On On..”, and a dirty look as we asked for parking. Hmmm. Was a disappointing start to a happy weekend away.

We stayed at On-on from 7-9th of January. We were greeted by Amanda who was very friendly and helped us with check in and provided great recommendations for ferry to Phi Phi island. The rooms are nice and well equipped. There is a bar fridge, kettle for tea and coffee and shower gel, shampoo provided. Even though we stayed two nights, we got room service which was a lovely welcome to come home to. What's special about on-on is the museum like structure which was very photogenic! Apparently it's the oldest hotel in Phuket! To get around (Kata beach and Karon) we took the blue bus which was 40 Bhat. If you want something faster and private take ondrive (app).

This is my first stay overnite in Oldtown after many times visiting Phuket. Targeted the hotel for long times with the main reasons of the name of hotel (= my nickname... 安安 in Hakka slang read as On On)... and definitely the heritage decorations.... As bonus, Leonardo deCaprio has stayed in the hotel is another plus (but not in the room I stayed 🤣). Right in the middle of the Old Town of Phuket, if you go the 3 directions from the main door of the hotel all filled in with the old building functioned as shop houses, resto, cafe, etc. The hotel lobby itself filled with many antiques as the decoration (one of my gen z friend amazed with the radio put there as he doesn't know what that is), rooms are spacious with aircon run well in this hot islands. Don't expect lift or elevator as this is only 2 storey building, if you are lazy to bring your suitcase upstairs ask for ground floor room... Access key is given for staying guests considering the hotel lobby is very popular with passerby tourists taking picture. Outside the building once in a while used for film or advert making and professional photographers. A worth to visit and stay place in Old Town.

Super cool vintage hotel, nothing tacky here. Extremely helpful staff, laundry service that finishes the clothes in 5 hours. Snacks, real coffee in the room, great location, nice hot showers.

Just loved every minute at this hotel. Transported us back in time with the lovely decoration and mood of the shared spaces. The rooms were also well sized for s city hotel and the beds comfortable. The bathroom does not offer much privacy but that did not bother us so much.

This was just not the hotel for us. My husband chose it based on location and wasn’t familiar with “historical” hotels. It was clean at the staff were friendly. The location was good for coffee shops and restaurants. If you like an upbeat or vibrant vibe…this is not your place

Perhaps one of the most famous hotels in Phuket and it was worth the experience. I spent a whole week here and felt very comfortable throughout. The location is away from the market and is very conveniently located. The lighting in the room however could be better.

Lovely little hotel only a block from beautiful old Phuket. The place has got real character in a good way. Our room was massive and beautiful. We will definitely stay again next time we’re in the area.

I would highly recommend this room. The staffs were very welcoming and rooms are very comfortable. Many tourist attractions and popular restraunts are also around the corner. The staff also taught me a car booking app(indriver) that cost an affordable price(much cheaper than grab and taxi) in phuket.

Small rooms, but very functional and full of character. Staff very friendly, but limited services available. Great location in the heart of Phuket old town.

Great historical boutique hotel, perfect location to check out old town from. I didn't mind it, and found it entertaining to watch, but because it is a historical location and has a very pretty entrance you will watch a bunch of tourist using the lobby and entrance as backdrops for Instagram photoshoots.

A very cute boutique hotel is in the center of Phuket town. The location is top! The room is clean and has very nice decorations. Staffs are friendly and nice. Highly recommend.

This is the old charm building in the heart of phuket old town. The hotel is located to very central area closed to restaurants, cafe, bars, and landmark. The hotel is originally from the old sino Portuguese architecture. It was like a tiny museum which is full of antiques collection and stories behind this hotel. The staff was helpful. The room was tiny, clean, and affordable. However, no breakfast in this hotel. Water bottles sold here was a bit expensive- doubled price than normal price.

This historical hotel might b missing some modern amenities but it makes up it in charm & decorations. This is the 1st & oldest hotel of Phuket. It is conveniently located in central Old Town Phuket & u can walk everywhere. The rooms are each decorated in a theme of the era. There is only stairs (no lift) to get to your room & no air conditioning in foyer area, but rooms do have air con. There is no option for food, but restaurants r only a few steps away. The staff r friendly & helpful.

We actually didn't stay here, but were caught in a rain shower and couldn't find a taxi. We asked the front desk to call us and they were so gracious and helpful. If we ever stay in Phuket town, we will be staying here.

Vantage chinese hotel with a lot of antique goods. Most comfortable to stay in with pleasent staff. Room very clean and tidy. Very good places to bring family and friends.

Very nice architecture. Though the place is old it has a a lot of character. Staff are very friendly. Since this is an old style wooden hotel the only con is the wood creaks so if ur a light sleeper and some folks r up late and noisy you might be disturbed.

Had the absolute best time here. What a beautiful place to stay with an even more beautiful staff team. Clean and comfortable gorgeous rooms, tasty fresh food. I will definitely be returning xx

We enjoyed our stay at Memory at On On a lot! The hotel is really charming and everything is decorated with a love for details. From here it's just a small walk to Phuket Old Town and lovely cafes. The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially now during the time of COVID restrictions and regulations. Even before we arrived they helped as a lot, for instance when it came to get some updates on our pending Thai Passes. Many thanks to Sukanya, Nittaya and Kanlayanee for the patient communication before we arrived in Phuket. Also huge thanks to Alan, Pop and Preaw for helping us during our stay in Phuket!
