A lovely hotel, great staff and service. A bit of a walk from reception to the main road is both a blessing and a pain. It takes a good 8-10 minutes if you miss the buggy which only runs till 8pm. It is worth trying the roof top bar..... Great views. I also loved the pool with the 800m round circuit of the rooms...... something a little different.

Fantastic hotel! Amazing staff! Stayed there for 3 nights - after we finally were able to enter Thailand again. Immigrated via Thailand Pass - and this hotel was during the application process already such a big help. Fast and valuable replies made it extremely easy to fulfill all government requirements! Kudos to Rose for her amazing help! The hotel itself is very beautiful, the staff simply amazing. Friendly, helpful and always a big smile makes your time enjoyable. Food is tasty as well, the breakfast buffet offers Thai as well as western varieties. Lunch and dinner also very tasty. The site is very clean and is basically completely surrounded by their swimming pool. Too bad the weather was not as expected during our stay but anyhow we enjoyed it a lot. Had the private villa with pool. Very spacious and comfortable room. We would always go there again and can highly recommended it! Thanks again to the amazing staff - stay safe and all the best for the future. Hopefully we might see us again one day. ;-)

Absolutely fantastic hotel. We had a room on the second floor beside the pool. Service was fantastic. Everyone was wonderful and very friendly. Me and my friend stayed for 1 week, and we were happily greeted every day. The room was spotless and very well kept. I couldn't recommend it anywhere else.

Itโ€™s not definitely 5 stars hotel. Breakfast quality is average. Set up of eating area is not private. Swimming pool looks old and pool beds are set not to make customer feel privacy. We got the hotel by last mins by booking previous hotel in wrong date. Staffs try to act high standard. They are super nice and friendly but itโ€™s not there yet. More training & practice. The best of stay is room & facility in room. Big space. Comfy bed comparing to other 5 stars hotel. Here is winning. Bathtub is broken so feel little so so of 5 stars room. Assist manager called to solve problem thats nice of her & i gave her real feedback too. Serving old beer at pool. Expired date. Not cold coconut. Again, kindly review the standard of serving beverage of high standard hotel. But staff is really nice to change. Kata beach during festive season is like outdoor market. Not recommend if you like privacy. Maybe suit customer loving fun & loud. Please take all this opportunities for improvement to reach high standard. Comments are with good intention to reflect not complain. Summary : Room 5/5 Staff 4/5 - super friendly & nice. Front desk & overall interaction needs more training, morning brief, coaching and monitor. Pool 1/5 - not excited with curve pool access. Not feel advantage. Old pool not private. But maybe suit other customer. Location 4/5 Breakfast 2/5 not options of good quality bread. ** based on my preference**

nice hotel but doesn't feel like a 5 star. chose this hotel for large pool to chill at the hotel. pool is very kid friendly with some play stuff. breakfast was okay, solid 3/5. bit of a walk to outside but there is a shuttle service that's very nice. it runs every 30min but they offer to give you a ride if they see you. staff are always very friendly, especially the security guard. worse part of the hotel was the mosquitos. balcony door doesn't have a tight seal and I got around 20 bites, 4 on my face and eyelid. killed about 10 but you can never get all of them. buzzing sound every night.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel a lot. The hotelโ€™s facilities are very impressive , including sauna ,gym with schedule activities , bars , spa and kids area . The most impressive is the huge Free form pool , you can get the paddle boat for free and swim around. Floating breakfast was amazing. Also the hotel has a rooftop restaurant โ€œMoon terrace โ€œ , where you can see sunset and Big Buddha , dinner was nice too . We stayed at the hotel just 2 nights and we absolutely this hotel is a hidden gem of Kata area.

Metadee Resort and Villas is a hidden gem! We booked one night before we arrived not really knowing what to expect. When we got to the resort, we were greeted by the most hospitable staff (friendliest and most helpful Iโ€™ve seen in a very long time), and we were shocked at how quiet and peaceful the resort was! Clean, well-kept, and a perfect getaway from the craziness of places like Patong Beach. The swimming pool was absolutely massive and very clean - very much worth staying in a room with pool access. The room was also very nice as well complete with a large bathtub, shower with two heads (one being a rain shower) that has great pressure and warm water, and a large king-size bed that comes with a mosquito net in case you keep your door open too long at night. Two desks in your room, a free shuttle from the lobby to the main road and back (to not deter people from thinking they are โ€œfarโ€ from everything elseโ€ฆbecause they arenโ€™t), a wonderful breakfast buffet with western and Thai cuisine, excellent drinks at the pool bar, a massive room service menu, and so much more! Everything is so well thought-out and we were so wonderfully surprised with what we got. This is a favorite for us now and we will return very soon. Thank you for a great last few days! ๐Ÿ˜Š

The room was really lovely and the staff were friendly. We didnโ€™t try too many of the facilities apart from the pool (which was connected to our porch) but it seemed well thought out. The location is quiet but it does take 10 minutes to get to any shops or the beach. Youโ€™re best off having personal transport I would say. One issue though with our experience was that they played loud music at the bar until late (audible from all rooms I would expect). We were up til around 1am and it was still very loud - not ideal when you have a 7am tour the next morning!

We booked a pool access villa room, which is very nice nature style, love the bed with net, a big bathroom is super with bathtub, really enjoy the pool right front of our room also have a button to turn on massage under water at seat area in front of our room. A big clothes room for dress up is super, big space to relaxed in a room, here laundry service is super fast, my holiday in Phuket is great while we stay in this resort, very helpful and friendly hotel staffs, the reception is super nice. Will defiantly come back here for stay next holiday in Kata beach area ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Absolutely stunning place for stay. Over 100m swimming pool, restaurant, gyms, spa and big rooms and villas with bathtub make your holiday. Decoration is made with old-school style woods and rotting what I like it. Hotel offer ride with golf car to main road as well. Recommend

The worst resort ever! Itโ€™s cleanliness and the food was tasteless, they wrote itโ€™s 5 stars resort, but itโ€™s absolutely under 1 star hotel! The bed sheet was dirty and the pool is full of dirt as well! I would never came back again or recommend this resort for anyone!! Run away!

Brilliant service start to finish. A quite location to relax away from the busy place of Phuket. The stuff are very attentive as soon as you step on to sight. Taking you bags all the way to your room. And ready to wait hand on foot. The rooms have everything you will need in your stay. I stayed in the junior terrace room and was very happy. Big comfy bed, dressed area, his and her sinks, hair dryer, laundry service, safe and a bath on the balcony. The pool is only a couple steps from every room as it scopes around the whole hotel. A wide variety of breakfast and dinner deals to choose from. Something for everyone.

Overall: This is a nice hotel. It's not a 5-Star resort. If you go in with that mentality you'll be good. We went in with the 5-Star resort mentality, since that's what the hotel was described as, and were disappointed. The good: -Fantastic pools, extremely clean and well designed. Especially the one on the villas side. Gorgeous. -Rooms are well designed and the bathrooms/closet areas are incredibly spacious -Most diverse breakfast offering I've ever seen -SUPER comfy beds The not-so-good: -The Junior Suite online shows bathtub on the balcony, this is only available on certain floors. They knew we were there for our honeymoon and gave us a room with no view and no tub, when there were better rooms available at the same price in the same room type, so I was kinda annoyed by that. The staff was accommodating and let us change rooms to one with a tub, since that what we thought we booked, so that was nice. -Room has no minibar despite stating it includes one, and when we asked, they were dismissive. -Water in all the other Thai hotels/resorts I've stayed in is in refillable glass bottles and is plentiful, with unlimited cold water available for guests. Metadee only offers plastic bottles and is always warm. Cold water must be purchased from the restaurant. -Hotel is located far from the main road. Wouldn't be an issue, except they won't allow meal delivery services to deliver to the hotel. The hotel staff told us we would have to walk down to the security gate to pick up the food, which depending on where your room is, could be up to a 10 minute walk in the heat one-way. Additionally, the golf cart that takes you to the main road is only available until 6pm, which made me uncomfortable as a woman walking alone in the dark. -They only give you one room key and if removed from the room, all the electricity turns off. So not great for families or couples who may not be planning on being together at all times. We did get another one but it was met with some resistance from the staff initially, which was weird. -Pool is only open until 7pm. Opens at 7am though. But 7pm is so early. At least keep it open until 9. -Gym is nice, but was so hot at 9am even with the AC on that I couldn't use it. -Pool bar was not staffed during happy hour, so the deal you get at happy hour is kinda pointless. -Towels were stained

The restaurant food was very poor, especially for the price. Toilet paper and towels were a problem as none was added when the room was made up. Often the room was not made up. Other than these details the resort is great and the staff are friendly.

The resort is nice and the concept is nice that you can enter the pool from your own room balcony. But unfortunately the place is not managed well enough and there are not enough good staff around. Especially not for the money they are charging for the experience. No staff in the gym ever and no water cups to use the water dispenser. Food was ok but also could be better. Their cocktails are not so good, definitely the food is better than the drinks. Breakfast buffet was decent but also room for improvement. It's all the little things that added up that make me downgrade my rating of this place to 3 stars. We had given a bag at reception and they told they would send it to our room but then didn't. We asked for our toilet to be unblocked in our room and after coming home at 10pm they hadn't done anything. On checking in we waited more than 90 mins for our room to get cleaned and ready by 3pm which they also failed to do. Due to the delay they finally put us in another room which was ready. Not sure why they couldn't do that before the 90 minute wait but we finally got a room and it was a really good one which we appreciated. On checking out they took 15 minutes to check the room before returning the deposit even though they knew the delay was making our taxi wait and making us late for our flight.

It was a very astounding hotel with a big pool that interconnects almost all thr blocks. Our room came with breakfast, the food and drinks selections were sufficient. 10% of the breakfast menu changes daily. There is also a live soup noodle and omelette station! Travelling to different areas of Phuket is a little hard, as it is quite deep from the main street, so you will always need to hail a taxi, call a tuktuk or Grab a car. Price if my GrabCar is about SGD11 for a 15mins ride, and SGD19 for a 35mins ride. Location is Good, because it is quiet from the busy street. Not so good, because you always need a transportation out. The hotel provide a buggy to send you at to main street, so that is very good. You can also use their phone to call for buggy to pick you, from where they dropped you, when you return too. It's about 10-15mins walk to Kata beach, and al9ng the way you will see some nice restaurants bars, minimarts, also shops for beach wears. Kata beach is also very nice, and not too crowded. If you bring a child, there's a small outdoor playground near the beach in the Community Park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping could be better. Some parts of the room were not cleaned, like the sink area, and the cups used were not washed. Not sure if it's because they are understaffed. The pool is 1.2-1.3m deep. There is a small section for kids, and there are floating mats, standup paddel boats and fancy kids float that are free-to-use. If you want, you can also pay for a snockelling machine and flippers. But the water is very cold all day long, and the hotel area is quite windy with hardly any sun between blocks. There are plenty of sunbeds. The kids room always have YouTube on, and the toys are always packed neatly. The room is generally empty, but is just enough to entertain your kids for half an hour or so. There's also a staff there to briefly engage your child when they are there. My husband enjoyed the gym pretty much, since it is not always crowded and well-equipped. Last but not least, there's a restaurant with AMAZING view of the hotel, but unfrequented. The items can be a little pricey, but it could be affordable to some for the peace and view. It is the Moon Terrace Fine Dining restaurant. All in all, it was great staying there with a child.

My second time staying here, this time in a room connected to the pool. Overall, I love this resort. Great staff (Boy in particular was very attentive), great location, quiet surroundings (see below). Its lovely waking up to the sound of birds chirping in the morning. Great air-conditioning. The pool is superb. What I didn't like.... The rooms are a bit out dated, there aren't that many plugs, and definitely not on both sides of the beds. The pool bar is great, but you can hear the music from pretty early, to very late. The sound travels for a relatively long distance. If you're a light sleeper, this might be annoying. The breakfast is so so.

A 5 star hotel at its price - with room service being completely absent. Despite repeated reminding room was not cleaned up even a single time in 4 days. Neither towels nor bedlinen were changed. The maximum possible is that they would bring a set of new towels in the evening after us calling frontdesk. Other than that beautiful rooms. But how could one call this a 5 star? Its like a Mercedes without wheels.

We stayed here because of the proximity to Kata Beach and the restaurants in the area. Between this hotel and the beach is a Club Med hotel, so to get to the beach you have to walk around it. It is not that bad but it's a 10 minute walk. We had previously stayed in this area last time so we already knew that. However, this hotel is quite a ways back from the road and we decided to stay there because there was a shuttle (golf cart) that would take you back and forth. But on the day we arrived, they were pausing that and didn't offer it. The buffet breakfast in the mornings was pretty good, and we went early so we always had a seat overlooking the pool. I wish the selection could have changed more each day. The room was nice and I liked the separate area for the shower from the main room. (Cabin style) it even had an outdoor shower to swim before getting in the water. We had a great private cabin that had a swim up entrance to the pool. During December when we visited, the sun was hot but the pool in this area was shaded so the water was quite cool. The first night we stayed was Christmas. There was a party scheduled by the pool. I thought that it wouldn't be a crazy loud party, but it was. It was an extremely loud with music playing until 10pm. We had to be up early the next day for a tour. Their website suggests they have many events like that so check in advance if you are/aren't into that. The concierge at the front desk was really kind and knowledge. The other staff were very friendly too.

Decent resort close to Kata Noi. But set far back so can't get a taxi at the hotel, need to find one somewhere on the street. Rooms are older but okay and ACs don't work all that well. Nice huge pool and good breakfast.

Itโ€™s not bad. Itโ€™s one of the places that definitely needs to recover and that will take some time. The staff is extremely friendly, very helpful, it almost makes up for all the downsides. Renovations are needed. Overall itโ€™s clean, orderly, decent. It is a 3 star establishment, not 5 stars. But for 3 stars, all discounts added, itโ€™s worth it.

  • 4/5 Lydia S. 1 year ago on Google
The pool access room has a place for you to shower before entering the pool or the room. Water is warm and inviting, at generally 1.2m except for 1 area that goes to 1.6m. Quiet and there is a buggy service to the main road. A lot of shops but open later in the day. The beach is a 10 min walk and you don't see the beach from the hotel. Breakfast is pretty standard affair.

We stayed in the Metadee for 6 nights as part of our 10 day trip to Phuket, specifically in a One-Bedroom villa with Pool Access. The villa is true to the name, sharing no walls with other rooms, which assists with soundproofing. However, sound proofing from the sliding windows, which makes up the wall facing the pool lagoon, is lacking if neighbours are loud on their terraces. Bedroom is well sized and quality of furniture and fittings is acceptable for the price point. Bathroom is large and spacious, with twin sinks, rain shower with built-in bench and freestanding bathtub. However, the separated toilet has a random portal opening to the shower cubicle which is an incredibly odd design choice likely influenced by the extract system. Pool lagoon is very pleasant with a variety of water features and separated sunbathing areas for those in rooms which don't have an adjoining terrace. The water was a good temperature, not overchilled as we had found with other locations. Landscaping is good, although more exterior lighting around the pool area would really enhance the greenery in the evening. We booked breakfast as part of our stay and found it to be satisfactory with a variety of options and a cooking station for eggs. Hotel bar is next to the main pool area, although not submerged within. Prices are acceptable for a 5* hotel, the staff are jovial and a decent grasp of English. Housekeeping did miss us one day even though we had both the light and door handle tag on, however this was resolved by a visit to the reception on our way out later in the day. The room has an auto shut-off for the AC when exterior leading doors are opened and although we applaud the effort at sustainability, it was finicky and if frequently going out to the terrace, we found that sometimes it wouldn't switch back on and required you to power cycle the AC from the control panel to get it going again. Property location is very good, having no ambient sound from outside the grounds overnight and close enough to access the bulk of the Kata area. All things considered, it was terrific value for money and strongly recommend it as a good mid-price option.

This hotel is beyond comparison and just amazing. Starting with the booking: we entered Thailand as one of the first guests via Thailand pass. So during booking time there were not any โ€žpackagesโ€œ like 1-night-quarantine incl. transport and PCR test. We wrote them an email and they replied very quickly. Within 1 hour all our questions were answered and we got the booking confirmation which we needed for Thailand pass application. Whenever we had another question until our arrival they also answered so quickly. We booked (due to the fact that we had the 1-night-quarantine) the villa with private pool and we can really recommend it. It was very nice and cozy and you already can enjoy the weather and the pool while waiting for the test result. We ordered some food to our room which was very tasty ๐Ÿ˜ƒ prices were okay. Breakfast (buffet) was included and it was tasty as well - a small selection but this could be depend on the fact that there were only few guests here. The hotel all in all is very beautiful and the staff is AMAZING! They are so lovely and friendly and always have a smile on their face. This makes you happy too โ˜บ๏ธ The pool area is nice and you can swim very long ways. Location of the hotel is okay. We rented a scooter so it was no problem for us. You can also walk to the beach within 10-12 minutes. They also offer spa treatments with very good prices, but we didnโ€™t use it because we had no time. All in all: we can HIGHLY recommend the Metadee Resort & Villas - the staff will make your stay unforgettable ๐Ÿค— we will definitely come back, when we will be back to Phuket island some time. Thank you very much for everything!! ๐Ÿค—

An incredible experience with a very high quality of service. The staff are smiling, pleasant and professional. A special note to Cola who was so kind and professional. Thank you to Geoffrey and of course to the hotel manager who made our stay a wonderful experience. The rooms, the magnificent pools and the varied breakfasts. And above all two different concepts. Calm and tranquillity, thank you to the Metadee team.
