This station is very good in terms of cleanliness, also these people clean the dustbins, there are three platforms here and this is also very helpful From which the information of the train is found, where there is also a waiting hall, so that passengers do not have any problem in stopping. People can get easily auto, taxis,hotels,dhaba near the station.And also a vegetable and fruit market by the walking distance.

Although it seems like a lot of facilities are provided here but it could have been better if it is connected to a good city with all necessary facilities like hotel , restaurant , etc. and there are too much flies in the station. It also provides parking lot, waiting area , help desk, etc. Allover it is a good railway station.

I rated it 5 because of cleanliness. Almost all trains halt here. Outside u will find connecting transport media and street food is also available nearby.

Good Ambience and Seating. However, sometimes cleanliness is not proper. During rains, water drips on the seats from the sheds above. It seems that the sheds have not been made professionally. However, there are plenty of seats where you can rest. There are some wide seats on which you can even lie down. Platform 1 has a lot of seating capacity. Platform 2 has less number of seats. Sheds are also less on platform 2. There is also an overbridge for moving from Platform 1 to Platform 2. An escalator is also there on platform 1 for going to the overbridge. But this escalator does not function at all the times.

You will get trains to all major cities of India from here and is well connected with local transportation. But this Railway station lacks few basic thing like less number of over bridges, less number of washrooms, waiting room is not properly cleaned. Waterlogged on connecting road. Although the atmosphere here mostly remains good. Even security is good. This railway station has scope for improvement. There are several nearby restaurants, hotels and dhabaas over two minutes walk.

Only one foot over bridge to cross between platforms, escalator sometimes not working, less number of washrooms..... Cleanliness is good, the cleaning staff is good and could be seen cleaning the platform, drinking taps. Kudos to them!!!

Station has been renovated and now it has got well maintained shadow shed, escalator stairs, drinking cold water facility, rest room, waiting room, washroom and canteen for eatables..

My husband could not find an English toilet for passengers in the railway station . One which was found was so dirty that it is beyond description. When asked about we were told that this was the only English toilet n it was for men . he

The AC waiting hall was a disappointment with no AC in it and it was not very clean. The platform itself was neat but lacks a good place to eat.

Pathankot is served by two railway stations : pathankot cantt(locally called as chakki bank) and pathankot junction. Pathankot cantt railway station is maintained clean but lacks good shops on platforms. If one has to go to pathankot bus stand they can take share autos from exit of platform 1 which charges around Rs 50 per person. Not sure if there are buses from pathankot bus stand to pathankot cantt. If one has to go to Dharamshala/Mcleodganj/kangra they can walk from platform 2 to the main road and wait for buses there. Buses to Dharamshala/Mcleodganj/kangra which start from pathankot bus stand stop at main road which is near exit from platform 2. But sometimes the buses will be crowded and getting a seat can be a problem, so if anyone has more luggage,plan accordingly. For travel/food pictures and information plz follow my insta account. Pathankot Cantt Railway formerly know as chakki Bank railway station... It suits best if you want to trip Dharamshala and Dalhousie in Himachal. Also the Amirtsar is just 100 KM here.

Long route trains are available from here, Waiting area is clean, Hygienic and safe environment, Police is always nearby for any complaints and querry. Small Food courts are also available, I preffer you to carry your own water instead of drinking from taps given, Have a safe journey people.

Nice n clean railway station. You can take small gauge train for himachal and witness many beautiful sight seeing.
