For those thinking of staying here DONT !!!! This resort has terrible customer service and can not be trusted. We got COVID and were not able to travel to Tanzania. The resort said to provide documentation and they would provide a voucher to use within 2 years. They then came back and said they would not honor it and would not refund any of our money. Please consider going to a resort that cares about their customers and will do what they need to to make it right !!

We Love this place. Staff, management everybody is so lovely. Food is great chef cook is very helpful. Elias, Gideon and Ramadan and the man from Kenya ( we forgot his name) make our stay special & unique :) If you want to visit Zanzibar, then Tulia is the best place to stay. 5 Stars ⭐️

Exceptional resort with stunning ocean front villas offering magic views on the ever changing tides. Staff is wonderful and food top notch. It obviously comes with a hefty price tag, may be slightly too high.

The best place ever. Nice people great food lots of nature see tide and the best person of the year is our friend Daniel. At night good drinf sat all together watching football match during the day miraculous beaches and safari. Very good vibes. Bungalows, service, massage and every thing was just perfect is my son playing football with the local stuffs at the back yard. Thanks a bunch…

Had an amazing stay, service and the food was great! We had to postpone our stay from 2020, Petra was flexible and allowed us to re-book for June 2022. You will really feel at home here, everybody is super friendly. Food is mainly from the local farm within the hotel! Highly recommend for a relaxing stay and retreat!

My wife and I had an exceptional time at Tulia! We were greeted like royalty (fresh fruit, drinks and the smiling staff) before being shown to our gorgeous room. We were literally in awe of the room, the location, view of the beautiful beach and the luxury of what we were experiencing. The entire team was friendly, professional and always willing to go the extra mile. Food was amazing quality and quantity. The pool and water slide were fun, clean and perfect for us. And the gym was perfect for what I needed. In short, stay here, you will enjoy every minute.

Where do I start with this amazing hotel. Rooms: beautifully designed, very private and the terrace is very spacious. Service: staff and management are accommodating and made our experience to be forever remembered. Specially Redka, she is just an amazing and lovely person. She made sure every night was a spectacular night for her guests. The bonfire at the beach with the masai show was magnificent, I will always remember that… Food: one of us is vegan and the chef made her food separately, to accommodate her dietary needs, which was very sweet of him —and delicious! Location: the beach is private, and because of the low tides, you can take a long walk. Also! This hotel will spoil you with complimentary massage and transportation! Other hotels will charge you $60-70 for transportation, and $100+ for massage… Tulia will forever have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the lovely treatment! I wish more hotels were like this in Zanzibar…

We liked the hotel. All-inclusive option is well worth trying. All-inclusive means ALL- inclusive, including alcohol, nice wine and fresh coconuts ). Nice show every evening. Restaurant is great, we appreciated all the efforts chef-cook puts. The food is really great and nice presented The only dislike - the way you see the hotel from the sea… All in all it is a beautiful hotel, very compact, home-feeling ambience, one of the best in Zanzibar for sure. But we would happily return )

We spent 5 nights (mid October) here at the end of our honeymoon and it was paradise! The Tulia team were fantastic from start to finish, going out of their way to make our stay a unique and memorable experience. Tulia is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy fantastic food sourced from the local area and on-site vegetable garden. The accommodation and gardens are incredible, with a mixture of pool and beach side areas to chill out and enjoy the view.

What an amazing place to spend a vacation at. The rooms are stunning, the entire property is so beautiful and I have no words how to describe the entire team! They are so attentive and enjoy being around the guests. The food is world class delicious. This team definitely understand how to make your vacation memorable. While everyone at Tulia reverse a big thank you, I want to say special thanks to Adam and Simba for always being extremely attentive and positive!

Our stay at Tulia was wonderful. The resort is welcoming a limited number of people which gives a warm and nice atmosphere. All the people working there have been so nice. They had many little attentions all along our stay. This is definitely a place we would like to visit again, hopefully very soon.

Wish I could do 4.5/5 if I could. The resort is gorgeous. I love that we could walk down to the water. This is also the only hotel/resort that we’ve been to so far that has a few selection of non-African wine! Food is overall pretty good, I wish there were fewer flies around the dining section… I love the fresh fruits that were served every morning!

Everything about it is impeccable.i really enjoyed my stay there.Highly recommend!

Reviewing this super late as I stayed in November 2019. However, now staying in another hotel I realise I compare everything to Tulia. Tulia was a lovely property, the rooms were large, there was always ample seating by the pool and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the all inclusive options which as people have said means all inclusive, and we were able to enjoy a bottle of champagne. There was also evening entertainment while you ate which was nice. This hotel is expensive to stay, but worth it. I write my reviews on value for money and enjoyment. So although expensive I would not hesitate to go back and would highly recommend to others.

My wife and I were spent the last few days in Tulia and really had a great time. This place is incredible and the hotel stuff made us feel like a family. The food was amazing, we felt like we ate in a gourmet restaurant all day long! Most ingredients camed from the hotel's organic farm so everything was super fresh. We took the front beach room and it was well equipped, super clean with large balcony equipped with few sofas and hammock. Also, the hotel offers an incredible complimentary massage for each guest and free private yoga lessons. We travelled a lot and we can definitely say that this hotel was the best luxury hotel so far, we had a great experience! Thank you so much Tulia!

Beautiful and amazing hotel. Best of its kind anywhere in the world. We stayed here a little while ago and still have great memories of it. Friendly staff, delicious food, and everything was perfect. Check out the other reviews - you can't go wrong staying at Tulia in Zanzibar!

Tulia was one of best resorts I’ve ever stayed. I didn’t want to leave. The staff are wonderful. It felt like being part of a big family. I don’t have a single complaint .
