It is a junction and has three routes, to Thiruvananthapuram in the South via Quilon, and two routes to Ernakulam, one via Kottayam & the other via Alappuzha. Decently maintained station. Still has lot of scope for improvement in terms of traveller lounge, infrastructure service for travellers. Enquiry office is very efficient and reply to queries precisely and quickly. Station roof is not completely done across every part of the station, due to this during rainy season travellers may face inconveniences. A lot more needs to be done.

Kayamkulam junction Railway Station is a well maintained Railway Station. It has some all necessary shops. It also have drinking water providing stalls. This station has multiple platforms and an overbridge connecting them all. But there is no escalator here. There are waiting sheds and good washrooms.

That two routs are connected and separate in this station so very important station problem is no facility is available include sitting and reserved ticket people. Lot of area no roofs. If you are reached rainy time totally disappointed..

More roofing is definitely required over platforms. Being a Junction railway station and a also a major point used by plenty of passengers, more and more facilities like IRCTC food court, much big waiting halls etc. will be appreciated. There's a terminal bus stand very close to the railway station which is very useful for the travellers. But the only problem is that buses are available towards Kayamkulam town only, it'll be very useful if buses towards Adoor side also enter the railway terminal bus stand.

Kayamkulam railway station is one of the main station.Situated inbetween Kottayam and alapuzha railway stations. Connecting both stations it doesn't provide much facilities other than some benches n a few shades. Most of the seating are placed carefully in the open so that the travellers can enjoy both rain and sun . This could be one of the best attraction here . 🤫 And while you enter the station you may be welcomed by their local guardians 🐕

Kinda decent railway station tbh, u could see those railway station master area is kinda filled with plants which kinda gives a sort of good vibe, and u can see pure kerela vibe at the entrance of this railway station thankfully these auto drivers outside the railway station isn't annoying like in other stations.

Poorly maintained station by the indian railways. Not that much facilities even though the existing facilities are available at an affordable cost. This is a key station to alappuzha and kottayam routes as trains divert from this station. Except for some superfast express, most of the trains have a 2 min halt here, with the exception of superfast trains, which have a 1 min halt. This is an NSG 3 category station. Even though it is a junction station, it lacks facilities that other junction stations in the state posess. So i think the authority should take the initiative to make some improvements.

There are 5 platforms, food courts, toilets facilities, small restaurant e.t.c Ticket counter seems to be too crowded some times and long que in peak time.  Kayamkulam Junction Railway station Situated  around 2.5 Km away from Kayamkulam KSRTC bus stand.

Well maintained platforms. Dustbins placed everywhere. Railway station is near to Kayamkulam bus station. Very neat and tidy waiting rooms for passengers. Staffs were very helpful and friendly . Escalators and lifts are not working properly.

All trains coming either from kottayam or Alappuzha meets here. This is the only junction hence. Kayamkulam railway station is quiet large but the platform lacks roofing at someplace. Yet they provide seatings, wifi, and fully alerting announcement systems. Railway police are present 24*7. Opposite to the entrance is a ksrtc bus station and adjescent to this railway station is an auto stand. Almost all trains stop here. Reservation counters and regular ticket counters are separate.
