My husband and I stayed here for our 7-day honeymoon in May. We had a wonderful experience! Staff was very polite. Parking was available ($30/day) in front and back lots. The room was recently renovated and had a small fridge (no microwave). The pool has several hot tubs and poolside service. You can walk right out onto the beach from the pool area. There's also a walkway to Duke's Kauai and an Italian restaurant. There was some construction noise during the day, but we weren't often at the hotel during the day so it wasn't too much of an issue.

Our stay was perfect! A few weeks prior to our trip we heard from the concierge desk who were extremely helpful with sending us recommendations and making a dinner reservation for us at Dukes since there were no more online reservations offered. The pool and beach were exactly what we were looking for when booking this resort! The bar and servers around the pool were great! And breakfast and lunch were delicious. The grounds and our room were spectacular. Overall one of the best travel experiences. We felt like VIPs the entire trip!

Views and location are outstanding! Service staff was friendly. Pool and hot tubs are some of the very best we've seen. Food at Kakui's poolside restaurant was excellent, if pricey ($30 for burger & fries after tax & tip). Duke's was better last time we were there, but the setting is amazing. Parking was $25/day, which is pretty steep compared to the other place we stayed (free) ... and maybe (?) not necessary - no signs warning of private parking where they told us to park. Fitness center was good, but lacked ab equipment. All-open shower glass / sink / toilet area was tricky for family w/ a boy & girl. Price was high for us ($700+/night with fees), but overall wonderful stay.

Visited this resort in March 2022. The staff could not be more helpful! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Check in was a breeze. Super close to the airport. The property was in pristine condition. The pool is amazing, big enough to accommodate tons of guest. The views are spectacular. The restaurant in the property is also very good. Overall, an outstanding experience.

The best part about this hotel is the amazing pool and beach front. Staff was kind and fun. The rooms are clean and newly renovated. The renovations are not luxury though. Vinyl floors, some kind of plastic that looks like marble in the bathrooms. The cleaners only come every other day but don’t leave extra coffees, shampoos, towels for the two days between cleanings which was annoying. The hotel is not really near anything so it is good place to lay around at a resort. I would not say it’s luxurious though.

Nice hotel. Pool area and beachfront are large and not too busy. Pool bar has decent food. Had a nice spa and a store with tons of supplies. It's in a good area near to the airport and a few nice restaurants. Gave 4 stars because honestly the resort fee should just be posted in the price at time of booking and our rooms telephone didn't work so we could not reserve hotel services. Attempted to call different hotel services from our cell phones but things like the kitchen (for room service) can't take long distance calls. They attempted to fix the phone over our three day stay without success. Parking was hit or miss, but mostly miss. They do have a healthy looking Nene that hangs out in the garden most days so that's cool

This hotel/resort is really nice. Our flight was canceled, so the airline put us up at this resort. The picture I posted was taken from our room. Our view was amazing.

If you stay at this resort you will have plenty of dining options that are all good. Prices are in line with similar locations—in fact the room rate may be slightly lower, depending on the type of room you get. Drink and food prices are “resort”, if that makes sense. The pool is worth the price of admission—absolutely beautiful surroundings, multiple hot tubs, kids pool, etc. Having someone bring you a Mai Tai while you lounge poolside here is pretty great. Top notch service. It’s a bit noisy (you notice the heavy doors that echo when they close, hallways are a bit echo-y, etc.). We had a pool view room on the first floor and I loved the setup—you get a little lanai with loungers.

Tonya at the front desk made our stay one for the ages! She was super helpful and accommodating. We can’t thank her enough. The resort is beautiful and stumbling distance from the beach. The rooms were very clean and the bar has strong drinks. No complaints over here :)

We absolutely loved the resort. Booked through Costco package and everything was perfect. Car self parking wasn't extra ( unlike what some reviews said). Also a lot of complimentary benefits from resort fee such as 1 appetizer, 2 drink at in-house dining and access to fitness & culture classes. The highlighted centre pool was magnificent and a perfect area to relax while in the resort. Only disappointment was Kalapaki beach as it was just an average beach.

Great hotel. Rooms were clean and updated- pool was nice and warm, lots of hot tubs to relax in. Loved the location and how close to restaurants and shops near by. My only complaint was the prices for things- such as drinks and food. Very high!!! Definitely recommend going to buy some juice, beverages and snacks at ABC or a grocery store. $6 for a can of juice versus a six pack for the same price. We loved the pool and the amount of seats available was great. We would try to save a seat early but even if we didn’t we were able to find a place to relax. Also, a bummer no bath tub for our kids but the big shower was great- we hope to return!

Great resort and clean, updated room with a gorgeous pool and multiple Jacuzzis. The restaurants on site had good food and good service. Breakfast can get a little slow with the short staff situation in peak hours. Good access to a small beach front. We had a garden view room with a partial ocean and pool view. Sheets and bedding felt newer too. Airport shuttle service was great. Took off 1 star since they made a mistake on the final bill and double charged the resort fee, which I ended up catching. Glad they fixed it. A 5 night stay with a double charge does add up quick. Hopefully the front desk team is trained to catch these and not make the same mistake with other guests in the future.

We stayed from October 6th-October 13th. We booked through Costco with no issues. We celebrated my birthday and our anniversary with a few freebies like cocktails, and appetizers. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I enjoyed the huge pool and easy access to the beach. The parking is a little tricky with the lot closest to our room being first come first serve and locals and other visitors using that lot to access the beach. The other parking lot was far from our room, making it difficult to make plans. Otherwise we loved our stay and cant wait to come back.

Our flight to the mainland was cancelled and the airlines placed all of the passengers here for the night. Wow! the view was spectacular & the room was clean and comfortable. As odd as this might sound, it was a totally pleasant experience!

Beautiful location! Very nice circular pool with lots of chairs for guests. Great beach and walk to nearby restaurants. The property is well maintained and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are very nice as well. Can recommend!

Beautiful location. The property is well maintained. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The rooms are great, my personal favorite is by the pool. We had a nice deck which we used daily. Large resort with a few restaurants on site. We loved the proximity to the airport -only a 10 minute drive. They do offer shuttle services to the airport. You have great ocean views and are pretty close to other attractions. It's a small island but do recommend renting a car to get around if you are interested in seeing other attractions.

We had a great time there a few weeks ago. Walking distance to shops and food as well as the beach. The pool was huge and had great service. Get the pot stickers or spring rolls at the pool. Great location to drive anywhere on the island. We were gone most of the day exploring, but enjoyed our time at the resort as well. If we ever come back to the island, we will stay here again.

Very beautiful property. I would've given it 5 stars, but the shower in my room was obviously skipped over for cleaning. There was hair all over the shower walls and the soap dish had soap scum was dirty. 🤮

This hotel was beyond expectations. So beautiful and relaxing. The pool was huge and the grounds were kept meticulously. Truly one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at and is now my gold standard for judging other hotels. It is worth every penny.

Now don’t get me wrong… the grounds are gorgeous. It’s a great location close to the airport and lots of good food around, and the beach on site is awesome. This is my second time staying there, and since it’s been changed to the ‘Royal Sonesta’ it felt a bit different. I did not know there would be so much construction (if I did, I may not have stayed there)- but I was just a bit bummed. Felt like the quality of food and drinks was down, everything was spread out or blocked by contraction, it was just ehh. I LOVED this place the first time I stayed here, and I just wonder if the quality has slipped a bit since the change in ownership.

Our family had a fantastic time here on vacation. The staff is outstanding, friendly, and helpful. The hotel is clean, beautiful, and has everything you need. The gym is nice and has a lot of equipment, and space. Highly recommend.

We had a conference here and the facilities are quite nice. The receptions were well done and the Mai-tais are awesome. The pool is nice but does not offer warm clean up showers. The breakfast buffet was quite nice geared for western food. Great varieties of eggs Benedict from day to day. Miso soup and some pickled vegetables for the Japanese or adventurous westerners

Do not be fooled by their false advertising. They will sell you a room that is stated as a “ocean view” and the only ocean you will see is if you are standing on one side corner on the outside deck. Then they will tell you their rooms are rated based on views from the decks not the rooms. Makes zero sense. Very disappointed and underwhelmed. They also have a kid pool with a slide that can get very noisy in the rooms around it. Lots of screaming kids. Nothing special.

Got a resort pass for the day which included a day bed. Ours faced the bay and was perfect for our last day on the island. Got there about 1030 and left about 530 when they told us they would like the cushions and the towels as they were cleaning up. They said we could move to the pool chairs and could stay a while longer if we wanted but after a day of drinking cold beers and enjoying some of the strongest Lava flows, we were ready to go. If you have time, head to the bar by the pool and order another round and some potstickers! Some of the best we've ever had! Will definitely go back!

Beautiful property in a great location. The rooms were spacious with comfy seating on the balcony/patio. Situated next to Kalapaki beach. The food is delicious but very pricey. Definitely rent a car to experience local restaurants and interesting sites in the nearby towns. Yoga by the beach was very relaxing.

While the place is great, the design and architecture is great. It is too tough to navigate, there was a stain on the bed sheets when we had checked in. The next morning we were woken up by a delivery truck that was extremely loud very early in the morning. The only good thing about this place is that the beach is right next to it. And if you think you’re going to go on the beach when it’s dark think again, because there are no lights and no one is there.

Honestly probably the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. Everyone was so lovely and helpful every step of the way. The newly renovated rooms are nice, very clean. Standard hotel rooms but well done. The property is beautiful, the pool is great. We only really ate breakfast onsite but that was always good. Very close to the airport but somehow we never saw or heard a single plane. Very centrally located if you’re planning on going all over to see all ends of the island. My only gripe is that the have a pocket door with paned glass for the bathroom, so if you have to go in the middle of the night you’ll wake up your suite mate.

Don't forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you choose this place you won't be let down. Beautiful clean resort. Construction currently happening on the lower floors though we barley noticed. The resort restaurant has wonderful food. Lots of local gems within walking distance. The beach is clean and all sand. Perfect paddle boarding/surfing location. We will absolutely return.
