Jan 2023: Before the pandemic, Dulcinea is our fave go to Spanish restaurant in the metro. They serve delicious beef salpicao, lengua, paella and churros, to name a few. But now, it's like eating in a fast food joint. The plating was badly executed and serving size decreased tremendously. The lengua was thinly sliced and the beef salpicao cubes was cut smaller than usual. The mashed potato side was not even a full scoop and food was already cold upon service. The wait staff wasn't very attentive to customer needs like refilling of water glasses. So disappointed...

I've been craving for sansrival even during the holidays but I can't seem to find a place where I can buy just one slice so when I passed by Dulcinea Glorietta 4's shop, I immediately stopped when I saw the cream coloured dessert wrapped with brown bits of cashew nuts. Without thinking twice, I went in, found myself a seat, called for the server and excitedly asked for sansrival and brewed coffee. My heart was happy. They had a customer from a neighboring table order a baked macaroni, it looked and smelled so nice. Their churros also looked yummy paired with creamy chocolate dip. I think their food is good, in general. I just hope for freshly-baked goods next time. Dining here for the first time was comfortable, it felt like what it would have been if I walked into a kitchen of a mom who spoils me rotten with delicious meals. P.S. I thought at first that the sansrival was not that satisfying but when I tried to eat the other half I took home, I realized it was good! My first impression was probably affected by the fact that I also ate an ice cream not too long before I stopped by the shop.

I've been here many times over the years and most of the reasons are because my Dad wants to eat churros. Their churros are very light and airy and my Dad loves the chocolate dipping sauce that comes with it. Yesterday I stopped by with my husband and my parents for a merienda (snack). Dad had mentioned wanting churros the minute we stepped into Glorietta and I knew that Dulcinea would be the place to go. He had ordered mango juice to go with the churros. My husband had a cappuccino and shared some of the churros. I had seen the ube brazos de mercedes and my Mom loves ube so I convinced her to try it with me. It was very light, spongy and sweet! I also had a cappuccino to drink. I feel that the desserts were great but the drinks were just ok, nothing too special. Glad my Mom and Dad enjoyed the desserts! Quality time with them is a treasure!

I’m sorry but I love Dulcinea mainly because of their churros. It’s hard to find a good quality shop that sells churros in Philippines. Not to mention their perfect warm chocolate dip. You know it’s always fresh because you will always wait a few minutes to get your hands on their churros after you order. I’m a big fan!!

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought a lot of changes in everything including how the restaurants operate. My colleagues and I dined here while catching up after 3 months of lock down. Not all food are available as shown in the menu. The staff are limited as well. We sitted one seat apart😅 The desserts are still amazing though, I'll always come back for their churros. The sansrival is great too, matched with black coffee. Amazingly, there was no service charge... Or was it there before but I didn't notice🤷‍♀️ the restos open at 10am-5pm only while on partial lockdown.

A small cafe with minimal seating but a great menu of Filipino dishes. The churros con chocolate is a must-try -- the crispy churros are freshly made and the dipping chocolate is sinfully thick!
