Not fully operational yet. It is apparent that the number of construction workers is greater than the actual “animals” inside the zoo. This is the very reason why I came to visit, it’s still under renovation with new attractions being constructed, hence entrance is free. Kids 11 years old below are not allowed to enter, though. The enclosures and cages are so huge it felt like the animals looks comfy inside. They’re also designed so that visitors will get to somewhat immerse with the animals (special on the aviary side). Path walks have anahaw leaves design embossed, benches are well thought of, water fountain that dances with the music, butterfly garden that has interiors of that Singapore’s Garden by the Bay. No available carpark yet. No food stalls. Only one souvenir shop is open at the moment. Clean toilets. I’m really looking forward to the completion and paying the ticket on my next visit would be worth it. Good job Manila! 🇵🇭

Finally renovated! Ongoing construction aa of now but you can already enjoy the Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden, a modernized and improved Manila Zoo! Enjoy nature's beauty with different animals (as of now only few animals are in their different safety cages) in the midst of the City!!! What I like most is the butterfly garden! Don't miss it out as you can enjoy seeing different species of beautiful butterflies. A place perfect for family bonding that kids can enjoy the most! 😊

On January 29, 2022, I was able to explore Manila Zoo with my Mom since our house is just nearby, and both of us had a great time sightseeing and checking out the entire zoo. The place is really instagramable and you’ll have a lot of fun taking pictures with your loved ones. But that’s only applicable for those who live in or around the Manila area. If you guys live far away and are planning to drive hours just to get here NOW, I suggest that DON’T GO for the meantime. Because it’s still in the process of construction and it’s not yet finished, if you want to see animals, you’ll be disappointed since, as of now, there are approximately only 10-12 kinds of animals in this zoo. Wait until the renovation is over. Perhaps after 3 months, it will be worth the time to go here. Not to mention, they close down really early. If I remembered, it was 6 p.m.

This is my first time to visit the New Manila Zoo after it was renovated recently. I was very curious about the changes and improvements done to upgrade the zoo. Buying our tickets took some time. Staff-assisted registration was time-consuming. Altho there were automatic ticket machines, I wonder why we had to buy our tickets from a staff. Well, the new look of the zoo was quite impressive. It's a far cry from the old zoo that was very messy and dilapidated. The new concept and design are nice, modern and interesting. However, I have already seen some things that need to be repaired. What disappointed me though was not seeing the "major" attractions like the giraffe, the hippo, and Mali the resident elephant. Unfortunately, by some sad coincidence, Mali the elephant died on the very same day that we visited the zoo. The enclosure where Mali was, was closed to the public with signs that it was under repair. Apparently, the elephant was already dying at the time we were going around the zoo. We were there in the morning, Mali passed around 3PM. Comparing Manila Zoo to other zoos that I have seen and visited, it needs to add more variety of species of animals if management wants to make it really interesting and attractive. Some destinations were closed to the public. The aviary viewdeck was off limits. The butterfly garden lacked butterflies. Nice and clean restrooms. A good selection of food kiosks. Very chill coffee shop called Aviary Cafe. And lovely souvenir shops.

Still under construction, but it's free entry for now. Much smaller than avilon zoo, but it's well designed and there's a lot of animals to see. Elephant, tiger, lions, reptiles, primates and a butterfly garden. The tour through the whole zoo takes about 30-60 minutes depending on how long you spend on each spot. No foods or drinks available so I recommend bringing your own water bottle and maybe some snacks.

A modern, clean, and well designed zoo! The last time I visited the Manila Zoo is probably 9 years ago and I must say, they have done a great job to bring this zoo to a respectable standard. The facilities are clean, the animal areas are well maintained, and most importantly, the landscaping of the whole zoo is nicely done. Yes, some animals would benefit from more space and I firmly believe some of them should retire elsewhere, particularly the poor lonely elephant. But apart from this, the zoo is definitely a great place for families to enjoy their time. Important: book the tickets and pay online via their website to avoid waiting to enter.

It's a great place for family and nature. Bringing of own foods are not allowed inside but there are lots of food stalls to buy from. They will add more animals eventually. There are lots of people who visited but also there's ample spaces inside. So much better than the old Manila Zoo and it's very nice. 😊

If you are visiting Manila you definitely should see this place The entrance price isn’t high and totally worth the view. Place covered with beautiful green plants! Trees, bushes, grass - it’s has it all! Many different species of birds and animals! Such a elephant, tigers, monkeys, parrots which talks to you: “Hello!”, “How are you?”, “What’s your name?” I felt a bit sad for some of the animals as they are really skinny and some of them looks really sad Nevertheless, I would recommend to go there and bring some treats #ManilaZoo #PhilippinesZoo #ok_s_i

Relatively small and there is no big variety of animals. In fact many of the listed animals do not present at the zoo. Other than that it is a good place for bringing kids and spend some time in a park-like environment.

Awesome ambience! Although still under renovation when we went there for our COVID booster vaccination so we got around for free. The zoo was amazingly modern, clean and spacious and we even got to see the elephant and a dozen of beautiful peacocks near our vaccination waiting area. Definitely going to visit again with my kids when we go back to Alert Status level 2.

Indeed, it's a lot nicer now as compared to the old Manila zoo. Plenty of open spaces and attractions are grouped together. Limited parking is available on site. There are plenty of fast food options within the vicinity of the zoo. Seatings are available within the zoo. The zoo can still be improved. A number of empty cells can mean that the animal has been set free or has perished.

It is quite nice place with very reasonable price. I can say that for me, it is worth it! For your 100 pesos you can see a lot of different types of animals. I love the trees ! It is huge place! I just pity the tigers because the cage looks small for the two of them there.

Cages should be bigger and there should be clear instructions about the locations of birds animals! Of course the cages where reptiles are kept should be clean as the glass was really blurred it was difficult to spot the reptiles. The pond where turtles was not clean, cage of crocodiles and tiger was big, didn't got good shot of tiger 😉Otherwise it's a nice place to spent time! You can pose with Scarlet Macaws, Crocodile even with Anaconda! 😎 One should try! 🤞

for only 300pesos for non-Manila residents, and it is worth it. It can now compete with other zoos with beautiful architecture! The pathways are nicely done. Your kids will love it! By going here, you support feeding the animals.

We visited the Zoo in Manila today for the first time. It has been forever it seems since my last Zoo visit anywhere. I would say today’s visit was fun for us all. I think my biggest surprise was they want you to register online in advance before entering. After the hurtles of gaining access were met, I found that the Zoo was clean & maintained very well. The viewing in some areas is a bit tricky, be prepared to pay extra for foot covering for the monkey exhibit? The Zoo is mapped out really well and we had no trouble finding everything. The animals appeared well taken care of and none were thin. We will return soon for another day of fun soon.

A big haven for animals. It has been there for years, yet the place doesn't progress that much. The kids are satisfied nonetheless. There are a number of animals showcased, however most of them seem a little sad. Cages doesn't seem like it gets cleaned often. It needs huge maintenance. I pray they do get big time patrons for this zoo and help liven up the place a bit. It wasn't like this when I was a kid. Please help this place.

A good place to learn about animals and bond with family and friends. The zoo has a number of animal species ranging from reptiles to birds and to mammals. But I feel that the place has starting to be in a state of disrepair - there are cages without animals in it and some cages needs repair. The place needs a bit of repainting and renovation too.

Overall, a pretty decent experience. Some animals were not out and about on our visit like the hippos and the giraffe but not really a big deal. However, not encountering a single butterfly in the butterfly garden is a bummer. The collection at the reptile house is good though and it also offers a brief respite from the heat outside. There are also Halloween decorations scattered around to liven up the place. I recommend booking online at their website to skip the queue.

We checked online the availability of the zoo and it says it is OPEN daily. Today we woke up early to make sure we maximize our time if we arrive in the morning there. We travelled from Cubao, Q. C. for the supposed to be unforgetable experience for our children. It is not near, so tiring,so hot, very traffic, pollution all around and not to mention the risks about the viruses along the way. We were disappointed right after we arrive there, it was TEMPORARY CLOSE and no one could tell why. No notice outside, and as I said, we checked it online and it is clearly written there that it is open TODAY, daily and will close 6pm. Such a waste of effort, time and money.

Decent experience, personally for me I felt like there wasnt alot of animals, but it was entertaining, but the first thing I wanna say is how i feel so bad for Mali the elephant, she's being abused and deserves to go back to her home, yesterday when I went here she was hiding and not wanting to show herself to anyone. ------------------- I took alot of pictures here of the animals, They have souvenir shops but I didn't buy any. They also have free wifi here but i didn't connect to it, for me the best part was the turtles or the lion!! The lion was literally so close to the window and was just yawning, it was so cutee, and the turtles was so small, there was also an alligator or crocodile in the water and it was hard to see it but it scared me a little. Also there were stray cats just laying down in the butterfly exhibit so 10/10 HAHAH, Manila zoo is just infront of MMDA so a quick walk. Overall 6/10.

DO NOT VISIT! Many of the animals looks sick. It’s the worst zoo I’ve ever visited. The Ostrich have a huge lump on his leg that looks like cancer or something, doesn’t look healthy. The lizard have scars after bumping his face in the glass every day.. The crocodile doesn’t look so well either.. Many of the animals did not have any water, little shelter from the sun, it was dirty inside the cages and on the path where people walks. The animals are acting strange and bored. They don’t have enough space and things to play with.. The zoo is also missing many of the animals. Did they die? No giraffe, no elephant, no hyena and no hippos. The place looks like an abandoned zoo. Please do not support this animal cruelty.

Love how it was renovated after years of used. Upon entrance you are required to register and pay via online or otc, while it may be inconvenient for some, for me it is really helpful that we are adapting to new ways of paying, registration. For the zoo itself, it looks like animals are well fed and I am trusting the process that there would be new animals in the future.

“”Don’t listen to the good reviews..”” I regret to say that my recent visit to Manila Zoo left much to be desired in terms of animal care and facility upkeep. The conditions in which the animals were kept were below acceptable standards, with enclosures appearing unkempt and lacking proper hygiene. It was disheartening to see ostriches, crocodiles, and reptiles in visibly poor health, indicating a concerning disregard for their well-being. Crocodiles ponds dried up due to the heat, left exposed to the sun & heat. Moreover, the absence of adequate shelter for the animals was alarming, leaving them vulnerable to harsh weather conditions. The decision to impose additional fees for viewing certain animals, such as monkeys, felt exploitative and prioritized profit over the welfare of the creatures. As someone who rarely resorts to negative reviews, I feel compelled to express my disappointment and urge others to reconsider visiting Manila Zoo. I have included photographic evidence to support my observations, and I sincerely hope that the management takes immediate steps to rectify these issues and prioritize the welfare of the animals under their care.

It is an iconic place here in Manila City. I have many fond memories as a child here. Sad to say, it is beat up, overused and poorly maintained now. I fell sad for this place and hope for a better future for it. I hear scandals of poor treatment of animals, workers, and that they pollute the ocean with the zoo waste water that is not treated and dumped to the bay. BUT there is an upside... As of December of 2021 Manila Zoo is being rehabilitated and refurbished by the City government of Manila and their partners. They say good things will come after relaunching and they will focus on solving the issues mentioned from before.

Zoo looks good and new. Facilities look modern and there are a variety of places to eat. Could be more interactive though (Tour Guide, Trivias etc). Buy tickets in advance to avoid long queues. No waiting time for me It takes around 2-3 hours to go through the whole zoo and some of the animals could really benefit with having some friends :) only saw 1 zebra and 1 elephant 1 Asian Tiger 1 Siberian Tiger they must be sad living all alone

Better than before. The structures are good but got a bit disappointed by the numbers of animals there. Other animals are not present like giraffe, hippo, and gorillas. I don't think the price for the nonresidents are worth it (yet) due to lack of other animal species. Would recommend buying tickets in advance to not wait in a long line, but their online process of ticket reservation is too hassle because you need to fill up the form individually.

Overpriced, annoying, disappointing. P300 for a national public Zoo is definitely at the higher end, and honestly above its worth. The getting-in process is very tedious and slow and time-consuming, they require you to register online while standing in the heat and are asking a lot of private questions, down to your home barangay. Also the cellphone signal is slow in that location. As a group or couple you have to register and buy the ticket separately for each person. The payment process is flawed. I paid via GrabPay and even 24 hours later I still haven't received the ticket. It took some discussion with the guard to let me in with "only" the proof of payment. And once inside, the experience is hugely disappointing, especially if you bring kids. The rhino was nowhere to be seen, neither was the giraffe. The Tiger was a tiny glimpse behind an exit service door. The butterfly garden had hundreds of dead butterflies, but I could find only 3 alive ones actually flying around. There is a lack of water/bathing area for almost all of the animals. Swans with a dry pond, sad and huddled around a dripping faucet. The best habitat is the one for the monkeys, it's generously big and offers a lot of trees and climbing options. Kids also find playgrounds inside, but that's not the actual purpose of a zoo.

I was immensely surprised with how much Manila Zoo has changed. I loved the newly renovated zoo. The animals looked healthy. Their pens are more animal friendly. There were some pens were animal descriptions are not displayed. This is quite important. Ticket cost 300 pesos per head if you're not a resident of Manila. For residents, it only costs 150. Seniors, kids, and PWDs can enter for free. Tickets should be bought online. There's a signage with the instructions on how to buy it at the entrance. Present the QR code to the staff before entering the zoo.

As of the date of this posting, you have to buy your entry tickets online. There was no walk-up and pay option when we visited I'm kind of disappointed, to be honest. They still have signs up, indicating they an elephant, a hippopotamus, and a giraffe. All three of those animals died years ago. Also, to enter the monkey viewing area, it is a kids playground area, and everyone needs to pay an additional 20 pesos. Heard multiple people upset about the extra fee.

Zoo! I love that! Elephants, crocodiles, tigers, and more! Entrance fee is only 100 pesos! (50 for Manila citizens) Crazily cheap given the so-many animals you can see inside! And unlike many zoos around the world it's in the urban area, you can get there just by walking if you happen to reside nearby! But don't expect first-class management for a zoo in this third-world country. Many toilets are either broken or of very poor conditions or don't have toilet papers and washing gel. There are no guide maps, you can get lost at first but it's no big deal since the zoo isn't too big. Some animals seem to have malnutrition and it's a pity.

2020 had been a blur and for some of us, it was a bore. We all need a place to stretch out, get some fresh air and exercise. QC Memorial Circle is free. With the help of the local city government, they have Zumba and daily exercise led by professional trainers. Your kids can ride the bike, your mom can shop for plants and dad can enjoy a good morning breakfast at one of the restaurants. Come and see for yourself!

This newly renovated zoological park will make you feel in awe of the design although they tried to mimic the Singapore feels through some architectural and structural choices. They maintained the positionings of the entire zoo making it nostalgic yet the ambience is new and improved. Some animals are not yet in their cages and there are still some improvements to be made.

It's took to long time there and butterfly 🦋 garden in not worth it you only found only few flies inside the garden. Reptile 🦎🐍 section was good tho.. They have board of any animals but unfortunately they don't have those available inside the zoo. It's neat and clean from inside, comfort room are available at every corner of park. Birds 🐦 section is not good tho they only have cranes, peacock 🦚, macow and 🦆 duck inside.

It’s a nice small zoo. As a foreigner (Filipino American) it’s easy to see the whole zoo in an hour Or less depending. It’s one of the nicest zoos to see in Manila. I highly recommend the Aviary Cafe if you want a break from the heat. Nice cool area for rest. Pasta and refreshing drinks. It also has a great view of the peacocks. A lot of other foreigners I met kept looking to see if the Manila zoo has the Philippine Eagle. I wish they did , or at least have more local animals that are endemic to the Philippines. Overall still a nice Zoo to visit. Side note : parking is hard so I suggest riding a cab (or GRAB) to get here. Super crowded in the weekends. I suggest buying tickets in advance.

A nice place to roam around and see different kinds of animals personally. Im just amazed with the crocodiles, zebras, elephant and the tigers. There are also snakes, different kinds of birds amd other reptiles. Only that it lacks development since the typhoon that had damaged the zoo. My mom and aunt said that it was more beautiful than now when we visited it. Still, it was still worth it if you want new environment. They have entrance fee P100 for Non Manila people and P30 for locals (just bring postal ID or any ID to prove your residence).

I think the zoo price is okay at 220. You cant see these animals anywhere else in the country. It is also for the animals so there there. The zoo is small but it has bear, lions, tigers, orangutan, alligators, and wild deers. Fun to have a close encounters with the wild animals XDD Plus points for the signages hahaha Fun that there is also feeding time where everyone is called to watch feeding of alligators It is sad though the bear has no company. But other than that it was worth it 😇

ENTRANCE FEE: ADULT/ CHILD Manila Resident: 50 pesos per head ADULT/ CHILD Non Manila Resident: 100 pesos per head Not your typical Zoo. The place is very smelly and not clean. You will observe how the animals are not really being taken care of. It's quite painful to see the situation of the animals there. You can feel the animals were suffering. No more giraffes. Fewer animals. Tigers are caged individually. Canteens are operational, but a bit costly. Free use of restrooms, but quite smelly.

Nice and very quiet place although some animals are here. This area is used for many party, small and big event, like debote, school event like project presentation, catering venue, movie and teleserye shooting, or even family clan and brotherhood reunion, has parked for everybody like sweethearts, husband and wife, boyfriends and girlfriends, even friendly meeting and family relaxation. Its a simple and good place for refreshing your mind, body and soul. I visited this place before, one time with my wife and daughter year of 2012, maybe 4 times with my college classmates, we did here project presentation before 2007-08 School Year for HRM course. We Rent and Used the area beside Lake for our project. That time, the entrance gate ticket passes here is P10-15 only per head. Now, i dont have any idea what price the ticket is. Before i dont have phone to take pics so i dont have prof of pics that presentation done to share it with you.

Two stars are only because the entrance was free. It is still a work in progress or rather a construction site. It should not have been opened in such a state. There are very few animals to see, but lots and lots of people, occupying almost every inch of space. The animals seemed distress, especially the elephant: skinny and lifeless. The lines to visit reptiles and butterflies expositions were almost 100 meters long each. Maybe because we dropped by on Sunday. So if one really intends to go before they fully accomplish the construction, one should avoid weekends at all cost.

Free to the public but not yet fully operational. Has 5 live sections so far (elephant, tiger, lion, reptiles, butterflies). Looks really promising, comparable to SG and Avilon Zoos, just smaller. Hopefully its still affordable when fully operational.

DATES WE WENT: 2/14/2023 - weekday, 10am not crowded 2/18/2023 - weekend, 10am not too crowded but no more carpark available. VERY NEW. VERY ARCHITECTURAL. Your '90s or '00s self will ask, "IS THIS THE SAME PLACE?" Yes!!! But every bit was renovated. Kids and Young at heart will enjoy the park. 💯 I suggest starting at the Botanical Garden (left side from the entrance).

It's been a decade or more since I visited this place and they have immensely improved everything! 😍 I love how they organize each sectors and how they group each kind of animals. It is unfortunate for us that we only had short time touring the place as well as the weather was bad that we decided to cut our tour. Adult or kids will surely enjoy this place! Tips: take a picture of the map first so you can decide where to go prior to, bring a lot of towels, fan and change of clothes as you will walk a LOT 'cause there's high humidity and lastly, do not forget to hydrate yourselves. you may opt to take a ride but I highly encourage to just walk cause it's a form of exercise also 👌 Highly recommended place 💯

Great improvement from the previous Manila Zoo. All animals look like they're well taken care of. I highly recommend to book your tickets ahead of time to avoid the long line. But if you want to get a discount for PWD and senior citizens then you should avail the tickets onsite. There are still some closed area under development like the museum etc. But there are still plenty of places you can go to. I suggest that you wear sunblocks or bring umbrellas because the sun is really up when we go there. Various food stalls are also available. They also have air-conditioned restaurants/milk tea shops. Overall experience, the kids enjoyed it and the place is great for photos.

The improvements are very nice and the place is very clean, however there are very few animals. A couple of the animal areas are in need of some cleaning, I would hate to see the zoo return to the unkempt mess it was in the past. Without constantly cleaning up the animal areas, specifically the elephant and hippopotamus area and the lion and tiger areas. You run the risk of a return to a second class zoo. Probably the greatest need is more animals which would bring in more visitors equating to more money.

It was fun going there. But the thing is lots of animals aren’t there. They put the picture/name on on the wall, but u can’t find the animals haha. Just visited the revamped Manila Zoo – the facelift is awesome! Digging the whole vibe. But hey, they kinda forgot about wheelchair accessibility – some spots are tricky with steep steps and bumpy roads. Hope they sort that out soon for everyone's sake. Now, they've got a swanky spot for a hippo, but where's the big guy? Same deal with the monkey zone – massive space, but I only spotted one monkey doing its thing. Oh, and there's a busted glass situation there that needs fixing. Also, went to the butterfly garden expecting a fluttery paradise, but no butterflies in sight. Bummer! Loving the zoo's new look, but they need to hustle on more animals, smoother paths, and fixing up the broken bits. Hoping they get it together soon! 🐾✨

A small zoo in a very good location. Walk around in 2-3 hours depending how much you stop watching certain animals. At the same time nice and a little sad. Some animals, like the elephant, giraffes and gorillas were missing at the time of my visit. Some animals have limited space, some are accommodated better. I hope they'll do a renovation to upgrade animal pens and add more signs for an easier walk-around. Staff is friendly and prices are affordable. Buy the ticket on-line, 300 PHP/adult. Please don't get me wrong, I don't mean to badmouth. It's still a fun visit with kids, and some places look really beautiful.

It didn't feel so hot because of the trees and plants. It would be better if Ma'ali was still there along with other animals we saw there a decade ago. We missed the hippo, the horse, the chimpanzee, the giraffe; I think there was also a gorilla and then a few more when we visited before. But overall, the ambiance is way better than before. It's better to visit during weekdays, though, especially when you have young kids, so that it's not so crowded and for you to enjoy the experience better. We have seniors and kids with us, so we really appreciate the air-conditioned areas such as The Butterfly Garden.

Those drinks still have a dead frog dead. The parrots and the big bird don. Eating soil. I don't care for you properly. So from then on I said myself dead somewhere. Even the place is full of dead leaves. This place needs renovation. And this place needs to change staff. Once a month the sweepers are paid clean. (Original) Pumunta ako dito last month. Pero i was suprised na wala ng masyadong makita don. I meam the cages are all grown of weeds and plants. This place needs renovation. And this place needs to change of staff. Once a month lang ata nag lilinis ang mga binabayaran na sweeper e.

Even though the place is pretty and is lively, it is lacking affordable food. Yes, it can be a place where documentaries can be held, it's not quite student friendly because its lacking affordable foods. Aside from that, it's great.

Very relaxing place to visit. The place was surrounded by numbers of trees. You can you notice the freshness of air here. Even if it is sunny, you will not feel any discomfort since the place has enough moist and humid to control an ambient temperature that is a little bit low even if it is noon and even the sun is at its peak. If you have kids, I assure that they will enjoy walking along this mini zoo and seeing a numbers of species. The place was also a good spot for taking pictures that can be keep as memories.

Quezon Memorial Circle is a great place for kids, who don't seem to notice, perhaps, how this park is a little run-down. You can get there by taxi, or (I suppose) by car or motorcycle (depending on limited parking) or by walking under the circle, through the underpass in front of Quezon city hall. There is a free CR. Many kinds of plants to buy A few restaurants within the circle Various food stands, Shwarma, hard-boiled eggs, mango shakes, Gatorade, water, coconut juice, nuts, etc The outer circle along the road is loud and it's not too great for walking or jogging. The inner circle is farther from the traffic and is more relaxing for a walking or jogging. The inner jogging circle has a few lights around for nighttime running. There is also the Quezon shrine to look at. Overall, decent place to stretch your legs, walk, and try some snacks.

Beautiful place! It is my first time and so amazed that big and pure of nature.

  • 4/5 MJ G. 3 years ago on Google
AMBIANCE: It's the closest to nature you can get in the city. Its signature is the big trees that surround it and the plant shops under the trees. Very beautiful sunset to see here casting silhouettes on trees. Relaxing moment. TIP: Visit all the shops first before buying you might find cheaper and better plants than the first store you find. Prepare your urinary bladder as restrooms are pretty far but there is one in the area, just ask. Don't get pressured by salestalk. Visit here at around 2pm or sunset

There are lots of different plants and gardening materials from loam soil, pumice, coco peat gardening tools etc to choose from. It has enough parking space from those wanting to buy some gardening materials or those who just want to exercise from walking biking, jogging etc. There are lots of food stalls to choose from what ever your budget is whether bbq, mami, halo halo etc and they even have Maxs Restaurant,Tropical Hit, Bacolod Inasal and other restaurant. Its a nice place to repax, to unwind or to break some sweat safely since it is open area. There is an entrance fee of 15 pesos before the Covid19 pandemic but now I think its free.

very nice zoo and cool but i rlly feel bad for the animals. mali looks sad and just lives in concrete cage they monkeys lions annd tigers too.

  • 4/5 Israel P. 2 years ago on Google
I am just concerned sa NOISE POLLUTION sa loob ng Zoo.. too much noise could stress animals.. fireworks omg.. if you have dogs or you are an animal lover, I feel sad seeing them in a miserable state during firework .. how much more in the ZOO.. and I see people VAPING and smoking.. IT SHOULD BE A NON-SMOKING ZONE. The zoo is for education and for us to appreciate the animals and those endemic in the Philippines .. but I think it is very inconsiderate that people think it is just a PARK and doesn't care about the welfare of the animals inside it. Manila ZOO management should also educate people/children about those animals. I hope to see more improvement to make the Zoo a completely world-class park.

This is a good picnic spot with food and fun activities and a lot of animals! As a zoo, there is a lot to improve.. animals are kept in very small enclosures.. they look lonely and sad. Animals have to be taken care of and fed better! Entry ticket is 300PHP for 1 person.

  • 4/5 john c. 1 year ago on Google
My son enjoyed the experience in general. I liked that there were a lot food vendors and cafes. My only knock on this zoo is that they were missing key aninals like giraffes and hippos. They also only had one elephant, which my son loved. Overall a pretty good zoo that can use more environmental standards..

The new Manila Zoo is very beautiful, I come to Manila Zoo at 1pm and the weather is very hot. Just a reminder that you need to purchase the ticket online on their website. Do not forget to bring your own water so you’re not dehydrated. Best time to visit I think at 9am or 4pm

  • 3/5 Philip B. 9 months ago on Google
Highly inefficient entrance system, whereby you have to register as well as pay. Several animals advertised are missing, like the hippo and hyena. Some species billed as Philippines Endemics, like the Brahminy Kite, aren't. The entire place could do with more cool areas, fans and seats, as it gets incredibly hot and sweaty walking around, in July at any rate. Decent collection of reptiles & birds, but the capybara & big cats pens are really inadequate. Still, it is hopefully bringing awareness to the masses of the plight of wildlife.

  • 4/5 Markus A. 9 months ago on Google
I gave it 4 stars because the.. the tickets buying process is very bad! The lines are very long. There is no type of organization for entry! This process needs to be upgraded! Have booths! They need workers to process people into the zoo! They make you register all your life information before you enter the zoo! It should a simple pay with cash or scan or pay with your phone .. or buy and print your tickets online .. other than that the zoo was ok .. my kids liked it

If you are planning to visit Manila Zoology on a weekday, I'd recommend that you book yourselves tickets, especially if you are going after lunch. I've visited before the renovation and it's really a huge improvement. The toilet is a huge improvement from the previous. Although there are some animals missing in the exhibit, my kids still enjoyed viewing. From open area cage style to a glass separator is really a huge improvement.

  • 4/5 Lex C. 8 months ago on Google

Nice small clean zoo. Walked around 1 hour. A lot of animals are not out sad. Their website is the worst, spent an hour trying to get tickets. Thankful a kind zoo employee came by and helped us out.

  • 4/5 Emiru C. 8 months ago on Google
It would be nice to make sure that you go there in good weather so you can really enjoy everything. They have indoor sights, so all is good. However, some of the animals that I expected to be there are not there. I like the scenery but if you are expecting to get good shots for the animals, you should stop expecting that. Almost everyone is sleeping and not moving 🤣

  • 4/5 Shiel T. 8 months ago on Google
already renovated..we went here last holiday and enjoyed it. There are some food stalls with tables and chairs where to eat. There's a pay parking lot, but it's a long waiting during holidays and weekends. You must book online to avoid long lines. Bring a tumbler as I've heard they don't allow plastic bottles.

  • 4/5 abrera e. 7 months ago on Google
The place is crowded and the process of entering the place takes more than 30 mins if you don't have the online appointment. It's a hassle walking in. And the fees are quite expensive for a 300 pesos per head if you are not a Manila Resident and if you are, it's only 150 pesos. Better have your online appointment if visiting this place.

We enjoyed the manila zoo, it has improved a lot since my last visit 10 yrs ago though the animals were fewer now. The monkeys are just 3, the zebra is 1, etc. It is also saddening seeing the elephant being with herself alone. I know it is difficult to maintain this big zoo but I was saddened by the fact that it's no longer the zoo that has a lot of animals to see. Im hoping this will improve in the next few years. There's a food kiosks inside so youll never gonna be hungry.

Highlights: Capybara and Aviary Needs improvement on the different enclosures. A lot of missing animals, and habitats could use more plants and moving water. Animals look sad. But place looks better following the renovations.

Manila Zoo became more strollable and clean - great for a weekend outdoors with family, especially those who have small kids. Very limited species left to view though. We didn't even see a giraffe. But glad to see the animals have bigger enclosures from before.

it was not bad for me , I'm just annoyed how the animals here are not cared properly. The zoo cares so much more in people visits and recreational activities than the discomfort of the animals inside. The animals rarely even get the "dayoffs" from people being around all the time even in holidays and weekends. Look at those poor animals' faces inside, they look depressed and look tired. The
