I
recently
had
the
pleasure
of
staying
at
The
Excelsior
Hotel
for
two
nights
during
my
best
friend's
wedding,
and
it
was
a
memorable
experience.
Here's
a
breakdown
of
my
stay:
Check-in:
We
arrived
at
10:30
pm,
and
the
check-in
process
was
a
breeze,
making
our
late
arrival
hassle-free.
Room:
We
booked
a
deluxe
room
with
one
king
bed,
and
it
exceeded
our
expectations.
The
room
was
spacious,
with
a
generous
wardrobe/closet,
a
comfortable
bed,
and
pillows
that
ensured
a
good
night's
sleep.
The
bathroom
had
a
wide
mirror,
adding
to
the
convenience.
Buffet
Breakfast:
The
buffet
breakfast
was
a
delightful
surprise.
Alongside
the
typical
offerings
like
longanissa
and
tocino,
there
were
some
dishes
like
beef
steak
and
a
chicken
dish
(I
forgot
what
it's
called).
Fresh
fruits,
salads,
and
the
option
to
customize
your
egg
preferences
with
the
help
of
the
staff
made
breakfast
a
treat.
Bar
with
Live
Music:
We
absolutely
loved
the
bar
with
live
music.
It
was
the
perfect
spot
for
the
after-party
of
our
friends'
wedding.
The
reasonably
priced
drinks
and
the
entertaining
performances
by
Jessica
and
the
other
musician
added
to
the
fun.
I
highly
recommend
trying
the
chicharon
bulaklak
and
beef
salpicao.
The
mojito
and
margarita
were
excellent
choices,
and
we
couldn't
resist
having
15
shots
of
Patron
Tequila,
even
though
it
was
a
bit
on
the
expensive
side
per
shot.
Areas
for
Improvement:
-Check-out:
The
check-out
process
took
longer
than
expected,
possibly
due
to
someone
having
to
inspect
the
room.
Despite
placing
all
the
towels
back
in
their
places,
it
still
took
some
time.
However,
it
was
tolerable.
-Room
Service
Menu:
It
would
be
helpful
to
have
a
menu
available
for
room
service,
which
is
a
standard
feature
in
many
other
hotels.
-Toiletries:
The
toiletries
provided
in
the
room
(shampoo,
conditioner,
body
wash)
were
too
small,
and
we
ran
out
on
the
night
of
our
arrival
–
and
we
couldn't
request
for
more
because
room
service
is
already
unavailable
by
10pm.
Overall,
The
Excelsior
Hotel
provided
a
wonderful
experience,
and
the
bar
with
live
music
was
a
standout
feature.
We
would
love
to
return,
if
not
for
the
horrendous
traffic
on
Alabang-Zapote
Road,
even
late
at
night.
