Good small beach for tourists and pilgrims. But need to maintain the beach clean and litter free. It's also the responsibility of the people to take care of our Environment. Clean water, less waves and good view from the beach. Definitely recommended place to visit

Nice place... Belief that Lord Ram is said to have construct a bridge from here over the sea waters to reach Sri Lanka... It's in small village called Thirupullani... They have separate place for cloth change... Most of them leaves their clothes after taking bath in the sea....

Both pilgrims and authorities should take more care to keep the beach clean and litter free. This requires sustained awareness campaigns and persuation.

This is the place where Rama left for Srilanka, our vanara senai (with divine power of Lord Hanuman) started building stone bridge to Sri Lanka. And very pious and divine place for Regular Sankalpam & rites for ancestors. People need to take batch at their place first in the morning, then only need to take dip in Sethukkarai Samudram. This is due to our respect for this place. We need to take Sankalpam (small mantras for getting rid of all types of Doshams & Shapams which we are unaware of - from our ancestors side till our generation and maintain happy life in future). After the Sankalpam, devotees need to take a bath in the sea (pl be careful for own safety). Seperate place for changing dress is there - thou not much clean. Post the holy dip, we can either go to temple directly. It go to temple after becoming ready from our stayed place.

More facilities for tourists should be provided. The dress changing room should be neatly maintained. Poor maintenance .small eatery stall should be available.

Worst experience.. Local people are allowed to do final funeral near by temple and the sea shore is full of clothes which make you feel worst. Not a place for tourist.

A place of immense religious significance, Sethukarai or the Sethu Coast is where Lord Rama is believed to have constructed the popular Rama Sethu bridge to reach Sri Lanka to rescue Goddess Sita from the clutches of Ravana. Ruins of a bridge are still visible there. Tourists can visit the Adi Sethu for a sacred bath. This is the point where Lord Rama is said to have taken a bath before leaving for Sri Lanka. A small temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is a popular attraction in Sethukarai and draws scores of pilgrims every day. The temple is also referred to as the Sethu Bandhana Anjaneya Temple and is situated right on the seashore. Sethukarai lies at a distance of around 70 km from Rameswaram and makes for an interesting visit.

Only shore and Hanuman temple is there. Not neatly maintained. Panchayat has to take steps to clean the shore. Car parking fees collected for unworthy maintenance

Amazing place. Clean water. Weekdays the crowd is less. The beach is known for its calm waves, hence great for playing in the water. Short shore. The Lord Hanuman temple by the shore is small, simple, peaceful and well maintained. Knowing the mythological importance of the place makes it even more interesting. Huge paid parking space is available next to the temple.

Actually an excellent place where i got goosebumps, butThe place was little unclean due to rituals performed by the public, the government should take in to the notice to avoid such litters and clothes which are thrown in to the place, otherwise we might loose the sanctity of sethukarai

Must place to go when on trip to Rameswaram, it's said that from this place the ram-sethu bridge construction started. few years back, local fishermen would take tourists inside sea via boat and show the ram-sethu bridge, but now it's closed.

Sethukarai Hanuman temple located 68 kms from Rameshwar and 20kms from Ramanad. Holy and sacred place calling back to Ramayana times. Lord Ram started to build bridge to Lanka here. Temple deity Hanuman ji is sitting facing south of the sea toward Lanka. I felt the vibe in my body seeing the grace of Hanuman ji. Vibhishanan brother of king Ravana surrendered to lord Ram here. Lovely atmosphere here sea breeze cool and soothing. Tender waves easy to swim or dip in this holy sea also called rathnakar theertam.

Sethukkarai beach is a serene beach located in Thiruppulani, Ramanathapuram district. It's believed that your sins are washed away by the sea water when you take bath here. It's also mentioned in history that Lord Ram stayed in Thiruppulani Shri Aadhi Jagannatha Perumal temple for 3 days, waiting for his men and also worshipped Jagannatha Perumal to grant him wish in building the Sethu bridge successfully to reach Sri Lanka. Lord Ram was granted the wish and he was successful in reaching Sri Lanka and save Sita.

This place is believed to be the place where Vanarasena led by Sree Hanuman started construction of Ram sethu bridge from India to Srilanka for transportation of Sena to fight the battle. This is also alternate place to offer dhidhi to ancestors. Famous Hanuman temple is also a best temple to visit.
