Roscoe Village was not what I expected. It has beautiful preserved buildings, restaurants, shops and businesses. I guess that I thought that it was a replica of a canal era village with reenactments of that time period. They might do that but I didn't see it.

Amazing time! Wow and wow! My daughter's favorite was by far the Hays activity center. We had so much fun doing all of the activities! We had lunch and Steak n Stein and the food was great and waitress was very considerate of our schedule even though the place was slammed and she was super busy. We visited all of the stops on the self-guided tour and we really enjoyed the narrators and the exhibits. We capped the day with the canal boat ride which was delightful and relaxing. I'm so glad we showed up early when everything opened because it gave us a chance to enjoy the whole day and we never got bored.

Nicely done restored historic village. Staff is helpful and friendly. Price is reasonable. Several restored buildings include a working blacksmith. Recreated one room school house. Several stores and a couple of restaurants. Please note the restaurants get very busy at meal times. We actually couldn’t get seated.

Been coming here for many years. The music, shops, crafters, food and atmosphere so warm and inviting. Always will be a part of our family traditions and stopped at The Barn Restaurant in Smithville on the way back.

Charming 19 th century town with shops and much history since it sits on part of the Erie Canal line. Horse drawn canal rides are available. Delve into history as you visit the village blacksmith, print maker, broom maker and even a one room school house. See homes of a doctor and a spin and weaver along with their artifacts. Nice shops to visit as well as a grocery store and a restaurant. Plan to spend the entire day here!

Nice historical town. Lots of shops, gardens, art galleries to explore. Take a trip on a canal boat or visit a museum. Several restaurants, candy shop, ice cream to enjoy. Allow 3 to 6 hours. About an hour south of Canton.

Looks nice, quaint little tourist area with a park, historical buildings, and a museum. Unfortunately while we were there everything was closed because it was Monday.

Wonderful little historic village. The only remaining intact village along the old Ohio & Erie Canal. We just tripped across this on our way thru rural Ohio. A great little detour with multiple old buildings that are set up as mini-museums. It's mostly self-guided. Just a couple of the buildings had any staff. Start at the visitor center and leave your car there, it's just a short walk. Along the street are multiple nice shops as well. We spent about 3 hours, but you could spend more. Nearby are the remains of one of the locks in a nice park.

Cute shops with lots of different kinds of offerings. Historical demonstrations are offered but we did not partake. We just stopped to take a short walk and see everything. We stopped in the candy store and there were lots of fun choices for kids and adults including every flavor of soda ever. The flowers around town and at the garden are lovely as well.

Nice afternoon destination! Half dozen or so renovated historic buildings mixed with privately owned shops. Blacksmith, leather works, weaving, broom making all performed on weekends Memorial day through Labor day. Tickets give access to 15 minute film depicting canal history and small museum.

Roscoe village was a great historical experience except for the highway right beside it. Other than that, there were plenty of shops and good places to eat. It was a quaint place.

This is a quaint village. You can enter most of the stores. You must pay a fee and get a wristband and key card to enter the older structures. Nice large parking lot for our camper

We enjoyed our short visit walking around the shops. We didn't but the tickets for the museum part of it so I can't comment on that. It was a nice place to visit for the afternoon. Love the different shops and the ambiance of the street. It was very peaceful and not a long distance to walk. I would suggest parking at the Welcome Center instead of on the street. Lots of information at the welcome center.

We just returned from the "food truck" festival in Roscoe Village. Unfortunately there were so few food trucks we ended up eating in a restaurant instead. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. Luckily we had good weather and good company or all would have been lost.

What a cool hidden gem! Lots of unique little stores and great restaurants all in walking distance. We ate at Hucks tavern the homemade blue cheese chips were amazing. Flat bread pizza was yummy.

Roscoe Village is a beautiful little village right by Coshocton. It used to be right next to the Erie Canal, and it still resonates the charm of yesteryear. Its picturesque buildings feature the right amount of stores and eateries, with the Warehouse being a cozy place to have lunch or dinner in a beautiful setting. While I am still sad that the Roscoe Village Inn and its wonderful restaurant no longer exists (home of a college now), I am relieved that Roscoe seems to have sprung back to life. The higher end stores of the 90's are no longer there, but the new mix of handmade crafts and knickknacks seems to bring in customers nevertheless.
