We stayed two nights in the Butterfly cabin-- cell service (we have Verizon) was very spotty. I know that's a non-issue for many who are camping but it was a challenge for us because of work obligations. I regret not inquiring about the issue prior to our stay. That said, this is a lovely park and cabin camping is such a wonderful thing! We won't hesitate to return as long as I don't need to send texts for work. (Phone calls were out of the question)

Absolutely a hidden gem - beautiful pond views, helpful rangers, and spacious and fairly private campsites. We got to see beavers on the pond and our dogs swam their hearts out. Close to breweries and off site hiking as well.

Small pond is super clean and pretty magical to kayak in the morning and sunset times. The lake steams and is super quiet. There are hiking paths to upper little ponds. Spot 29 is pretty sweet spot right on the waterfront.

1st camp in Vermont and it blew our expectations. Got a cabin on the water in September. No crowds, barely any people and everyone was very respectful. Most spaces seem private with lots of foliage and good proximity to water & amenities. The restrooms were ample, clean, bright, and the whole place felt very safe. Kayaked on pond full of Lily pads and hiked to a couple different bodies of water. The play area was grassy, huge, and equipped with swings, volleyball and basketball nets. Idk if all VT state parks are this nice but we're coming back next fall.

Beautiful little park, staff are great, restrooms are in good shape and clean. Sites right on the pond nice when you can get one, but all sites look good. Ice and firewood available on site, closest convenience store is about 20 minutes one way, so generally pack what you need. Water is good for swimming and frequently tested.

First time to stay at this park. A good, but off the beaten track, bet for State Park camping in this part of VT. Bomozeen and Lake ST Catherine offer more amenities but are busy. We did have to drive out for a cell phone connection. We would stay here again.

Small, cute campground. Play area for kis and another side meadow for playing or stargazing. The pond is beautiful, and the water is clear and safe to swim and fish in, although the banks are mucky. It's a typical Vermont state campground, with clean bathhouses and coin op showers. Bathhouses are lit 24/7 and have outlets inside if you desire to use them. Staff is always friendly. Firewood us always good quality and a great price of$6 for 1 section in their large wood rack.

I almost donโ€™t want to share this because I donโ€™t want the world to know that this is THE best natural campground around! We go yearly and our camping trip there always goes by way too fast. Itโ€™s way better than any resort-like campground Iโ€™ve been to (those are fun too, but itโ€™s not the same as being deeply immersed in nature - with the luxury of nicely kept bathrooms/showers of course!)

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights before staying at Bomoseen State Park for 2 nights. The atmosphere between the 2 parks are night and day, which was expected - what was not expected was the level of care the staff here clearly puts into the sites and bathrooms! Possibly the best cared for sites and bathrooms I've seen in VT state parks thus far. (Whereas Bomoseen was the worst...) The only not so great thing about this park were the horse and deer flies. My bites are still driving me crazy! But it's a lovely pond, and the bugs love it too! The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful. While there, we were expecting a storm with strong winds. The staff went around to give people a heads up on the timing, offered more tent stakes if needed, and even offered up ideas for things to do in the area during the storm. We will definitely be back!

My grandkids loved it. They fished swam and used a kayak for the first time. After spending (2) rain soaked days and (2) sunny days, staying in a cabin is now much preferred than staying in a tent.

Half moon pond state park was absolutely beautiful. Its perfect for beginners at kayaking or just people who prefer flat water. The water was crystal clear. We saw many fish, turtles and even a beaver!

Best place ever have been camping at this location for the last seven years I wouldn't trade my RV ever again. Going from camping to RV is one thing but after this year I learned that I now will be returning to camping in a tent and saving the RV for different events or maybe helping a family enjoy the RV outdoor life by donating or renting my beautiful place; giving all families and with children the opportunity to experience the outdoors in an RV camp setting.,๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿšฃ๐Ÿ‘ช๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿป๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿฆฎ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ•๏ธ๐Ÿ—พ
