Yeah this is a great ride, very fast considering it's a wooden roller coaster. But, do we really need the unnecessary theatrics in the room prior to the station, its pointless and makes a good place for queue jumping! We just want to get on the coaster and make the most of our day now watch some pointless video, would have give 5 stars if it wasn't for this! I would recommend getting here fairly early in the day as there is always a quite lengthy queue for this one!

Absolutely love wicker man. The theming in the pre show is incredible it’s like Disney level of effects. The ride itself is also great I just wish the theming continued a bit more on the ride Too. And they really missed a trick not loading people off at a different area so that it looked like everyone had been sacrificed haha

Potentially my favourite ride ever! The theming is excellent, with a spooky atmosphere, especially when you get to the pre show. A ride that i will happily queue hours for every time i go to Alton Towers, due to how much fun I have every time! Absolutely Love It!

Always love the Wicker Man, one of my best rides!!! Closely followed by Nemesis, will be open next year and can't wait to ride again!!

Faster than you think! Perhaps the best ride at Alton Towers. Though the queues are too long and the preshow encourages people to push and shove their way to the front after impatiently queuing.

The Wicker Man is Alton Towers' best coaster in my opinion. Brilliant theming, awesome pre-show and visuals with a great ride experience too! The preshow is sometimes called "unnecessary" by some, but I'm a fan of the little shows before the rides. It's a nice way to make the wait for the ride easier, and I'm not concerned that someone may *sneak* in front of me a couple of places. Let's be real, it's not far at all. Besides, the preshow is actually quite cool. Before the preshow, you hand off your belongings to a staff member in a kiosk and you get them back after the ride. Way better than lockers if you ask me. The ride is nice and speedy, and the drops and banks are thrilling enough for even the more seasoned coaster riders. The indoor sections are brief but fun, and the wait was actually a lot shorter than what that app said it would be! If you're nervous about big rides, this one can be a bit of a thrill, but it's definitely a must do!

Wicker man is a great ride, one of my favourites due to atmosphere and theming. We arrived Friday when storm babet was finishing off and only waited for 20minutes where as it's usually an hours wait

One of the best rollercoasters for 1.2m tall and above I've ever been on! Was really impressed and the team working it were so slick and fast that the queue system seemed to go faster than it would have. The little part before you get on the rollercoaster may be a little frightening for some children who would still fall into that height category (1.2m or over).
