Went there today for a workout . Great great place , i met the owners who are brilliant and friendly and knowledgeable . If what you want is a good gym without all the silly led lights and head pounding music this gym is a must . A good honest no frills gym without the ( look at me , look at me gym rat types )

Love this place. All the equipment you need without the typical commercial gym atmosphere. Just wish I could have picked it up and brought it with me when I moved!

I go here as Flow osteopathy has a room above. I will say that even though I'm not going to their gym the staff are always really nice and polite, and make me feel welcome.

Great gym with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The gym has a real feeling of community. Pete has been providing expert powerlifting training for me for 6 months, and has helped me to lift more safely and improve my PB's at the same time.

This place is great. Everything a gym should be. Essential equipment. Expert advice. Friendly staff. Friendly customers come to think of it. Oh, and very reasonable costs, too.

An excellent gym which has all that you need. All staff are very approachable for whatever. They are extremely helpful in advising as to correct weight use, technique etc

I’d like to thank Pete and the team for helping my son since he joined the gym seven months ago. I came along to watch their power lifting competition today and was blown away by the sense of community and camaraderie. My son’s confidence and self discipline has developed immensely over the past few months and having spent time watching him at the gym today, I can see why. Everyone supports each other, the atmosphere is relaxed and positive, the membership fee is very reasonable and the facilities are excellent. I can’t recommend Heavy Metal Gym highly enough, the return on my son’s monthly fee is priceless. This is a brilliant place!

I really only pass through this gym to get to Flow Osteopathy, which is located upstairs. I am a long-time gym goer and notice as walking through that it's a spit and grit gym (as I call them). This means it has free weights and rubber mats, not frilly floor sponges and an array of underweight machines. If you wanna train hardcore with no one walking round judging you I would say that this would be a great choice, the staff are freondly, even though I just walk through and it's buzzing but not bulging with patrons!!!
