The staff are overwhelmingly friendly, absolutely lovely. We went on a random Wednesday night and it was fantastic, I havenโ€™t laughed that hard in ages! Only issue I can think of is the toilets, only 6 cubicles for women in the whole place and in intervals thereโ€™ll be a twenty person queue, and the toilets have dirty walls and some with no locks. But honestly, even with that, I canโ€™t wait to come back!

Venue is set up to make your comedy experience feel that bit more personal, very tightly packed which can make heat a problem, service is second to none with Drinks served to your seat. Comedians are very funny, you'll laugh fron beginning to end and they interact with the Audience to make your visit that bit more memorable. Hot Water is a must for anyone visiting the City of Liverpool

Quirky venue but chairs very closely packed together making it feel very hot and theres not much leg room. The girl in front of me kept flicking her hair behind her and it ended up going in my drink a few times. They have an app so you can order drinks and snacks during the interval which get delivered to your seat and really fast service, all staff we encountered were cheerful and friendly. The 4 comedians on were brilliant, each one very funny in their own style, following them all on social media now and booked tickets to see Paul Smith on his new UK tour.

My 1st time at Hot Water... and it was amazing! Paul Smith was the reason we came and he did not disappoint. Even got a chance to have a pic with him ๐Ÿ˜Š The room in the cellar is very small and intimate so the jokes seem to hit harder. There was a guy autistic comedian who was hilarious but forgot his name... Highly recommended

Had to leave these guys a review, been a fan for ages online but never actually been, finally went last night and wow, so SO good. Paul Smith as compare was superb and the other acts were excellent too (we particularly liked Andy Askins - absolutely bloody killed it!). Even the door staff were funny ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ (the big fella should be on stage himself). For a Wednesday night, for a fiver (or even free if you're tight!) you absolutely cannot complain, if you've not been before, get yourselves down there, you won't be disappointed I guarantee it.

Outstanding show. Paul Smith is hilarious, just as funny in person as he is on the Facebook clips. Can't wait to go back

Great night out at the Hot Water Comedy Club. The staff here are great, they sign post stuff, explain things really well. Drinks to your seat. The venue itself is small but organised really well by staff. The comedians on the Wednesday we went were great. It was a "try new material" night which was good! Giving them the chance to try material in a nice environment.

Absolutely loved it. Great comedians and felt like a very personal show as I was practically on the stage. The staff were nice too as we didn't have a clue what we were doing and they explained the whole thing to us and what to do.

After a last minute booking for the double-act we were very glad to attend. Not happy we were front row ๐Ÿคฃ so the roasting was very much on my head. Been a while since I have had tears from laughter loved every second and the 2 acts were great. Ironically, the host stole the show for me - not that I remembered their names...just like what I did during the day ๐Ÿ™ƒ Love The Viking and his Axe โœŒ๏ธ

Went on the 'As seen on tv' night, wasn't sure what to expect as it was free, but it was fantastic. Laughed from beginning to end, great service using the app, have told everyone about it as it is well worth a trip to Liverpool for

Lovely bit of mid week comedy. Really enjoyed our experience and the host was hilarious!! Only comment would be my god it was 30 degrees outside and the seats are VERY close together. Tall and wide people may struggle slightly. I was wedged between two large guys and had bum ache after.

Top place to go watch Comedy in Liverpool ๐Ÿ‘ The Bar is good and Service is quick, people complain that prices being high, but they are the same price as elsewhere in Town, so I wouldn't worry about that. The comedy venue downstairs is good, it seems small but can fit about 100+ people in it ๐Ÿ‘ It is well organised, with Staff sitting people on a first come, first served basis, working from the Front to Back ๐Ÿ‘ The front Row is literally within 'spitting distance' of the Stage (e.g. 2 feet ๐Ÿคฃ) so be careful if you don't want the comedian 'talking to you' ๐Ÿ˜‰ You can order drinks from your seats which is a great thing. Would recommend a trip there ๐Ÿ‘

A must visit for any comedy fans! The quaint basement setting makes the experience even better, and more engaging, especially when seeing resident comedian Paul Smith! Ticket prices are reasonable, and will definitely be worth the money.

EXCELLENT place for a fun night-out. We visited on Sunday where 8 comedians presented their newest material. The actors and the host were hilarious, we had such a good time. Although the drinks are more on the expensive side, the show was completely free. Would definitely recommend the club for anyone living in or visiting Liverpool!

Great place. Lots of laughs. We went to an open mic on a Monday night. Danny Clives was sensational as always. Callum Oakley was terrific also. Fair play to the people that did their sets for the first time. It takes really courage to do that. Highly recommended venue!

Absolutely amazing night out! We went to the late show on Fri 29th Jan and all 4 guys were hilarious, but special mention to compรจre Phil Chapman - he didn't miss a beat! Bar and door staff were chatty and friendly, everything was well organised and loved the seat service for drinks! If you're really tall, tell them as you're being seated, as some seats have far more leg room than others which made for a far more comfortable night! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Packed in like Sardines. Nowhere to put your coat or drinks and squeezed into small seats. We were a party of 6 asked to be put by the side of the stage where there was empty seats but put towards the back. Not sure I would recommend this place

Our train from Leeds to Liverpool was cancelled, as a result we arrived to the venue 25 minutes late. The staff were polite and helpful however they had not reserved any spaces for us despite us paying ยฃ20 pp with a group of 6 of us 4 weeks prior. We was turned away and are currently on the train home because we couldnโ€™t attend the next show as our train home had also been cancelled forcing as to catch an earlier train. Absolute waste of a day and the only reason we came to Liverpool.

We had the pleasure of seeing Rob, Josh and Kate perform last night. It was an incredible show. Staff are brilliant, atmosphere great and a brill start, middle, or end to a night/day out. We will definitely be returning. Also great value for entertainment!

Just amazing! Great venue, not too busy, drinks were well priced and the acts were brilliant!

Entrace before show was quick and easy. Bar open at intervals. Seating in the actual show was okay. But if you're short (5ft 2), you wouldn't see the act. So you would be better off watching it live from home.

Hands down one of the best comedy clubs I've ever been to! Atmosphere is electric, the theatre room is very tight and compact but it makes it so much more intimate. You can literally reach out and touch the acts, though you absolutely shouldn't for obvious reasons. Tickets are pretty cheap for a city venue, though the drinks prices are a bit expensive even by city standards. However, you can order drinks to your seat via the website, which is absolutely incredible for saving time. Overall fantastic club, highly recommend!

Great night. Staff were really friendly. Drinks were brought to your seat so that you didn't have to miss anything. Comedians were fab, (following new ones on insta now), and Paul Smith was on top form with the front row. Very fun night, laughed from start to finish. Would defo recommend ๐Ÿ˜Š

After seeing Paul Smith a few times on YouTube an ad popped up saying he was doing a few nights at hot water managed to grab a ticket for the early showing on a Saturday very well organised drinks were reasonably priced and could be ordered to your seat during the interval looking forward to going again

One of the best comedy clubs I have ever been too. I attended their free Sunday night show and the acts on where fantastic, I then attended the open mic night the next day and that was just as good. I would highly recommend both these nights. And I look forward to attending one of their bigger nights too. If your in Liverpool for a good time, this has to be top of the list of things to do.

Brilliant night at hot water comedy. We saw Danny McLoughin, Phil Chapman and Alun Cochrane. The bar was set high from the start and stuck at that level throughout. Tricky customers were handled expertly by Danny, who kept the vibes good despite a couple of testy moments. The bar was efficient and well priced. Highly, highly recommend!!

Great night went after recommendations on "Have a word podcast" and wasn't disappointed. Every act superb, great lineup and Paul Smith what a legend, only regret was not being front row so he could roast me! Would I recommend YES YES YES. Went midweek couldn't believe the value of the tickets ยฃ5 each. And last but not least all the staff from the girls running the floor to the bar staff fantastic! Laughed all night long, travelled from Derby can't wait to get back.
