Great place to go with the kids on a rainy day, but unfortunately it does get rather full during the school holidays and at weekends so my advice would be book your game online before you visit, We always have a subway from next door after bowling

We had a great time, food was lovely and the computers are easy to navigate my girls loved that you can add your photo to your name on the big screens. We will definitely be going again! It was very busy I am glad we pre booked on the app.

Went to play bowling at 2PM. Got told was booked up until 10pm. Decided to play pool instead. They took our deposit and gave us balls. Went to the 2 tables we had booked there was no cues anywhere. When we went back to the bar they said they had none to give out. Luckily 2 lads were just finishing and gave us the ones they was using. Staff was rude throughout our visit. Magically when it filled up later on there was an abundance of cues brought from out the back. As for drinks we ordered a pitcher of Pepsi with no problem the 1st time. 2and time got told they didnt have enough so we could only buy it in individual pints. All the while the staff was going to the back room with pints of Pepsi for themselves. Highly unprofessional and will not be returning.

2 friends ordered alcoholic drinks. Due to be being underage I bought a coke. They said that because I had ID they would watch us. Although I didn't have a drink, they cam and took the alcohol off of us and refused to refund. Poor customer service wouldn't recommend to anyone. The bowling however was great just the bar staff who were very rude

Revamped in the summer of 2023. A welcome facelift which now makes the place look amazing! 24 modern bowling lanes, each one having its own interactive screen to customise names, photos and see stats (for the competitive types!) Tenpin also has a large arcade area which has all the usual you expect like skill/strategy & action arcade games with all the latest titles like Halo: Fireteam Raven, Storm Rider 2 etc.. 8 good quality pool tables (plus decent cues) plus two brand spanking new karaoke booths which look super fun for group get togethers. Large selection of drinks ranging from slushies, soft drinks, beers, wines & cocktails. Bar snacks, pizzas, burgers etc.. also available. Staff are polite & friendly, the whole place is spotlessly clean & management are always on the shop floor making sure things run smoothly & to a high standard.

Came here on a Wednesday night for 2 games of bowling. It was as good as bowling can be. Although I do think it's one of the more expensive places to go bowling and there is nothing extra here for the money. We paid for 2 people for 2 games came to about £28. We finished the games in about 30 minutes so I would recommend going for the 1hr play for £30 that also includes pizza. Only downside to the trip was the "strict covid rules" when we entered the venue my partner didn't have a mask. We was told we could not enter the venue without one and we would have to keep a mask on throughout bowling. Not a single person in the venue had a mask on. We questioned why this was and the young lass couldn't give us an answer. Must have been arround 40 people in the venue and only staff had masks on. Eventually she let us in when I went to get a mask.as soon as we were in we took it off.

I took my daughter and her friend. They are both 12 years old. It cost me £20.00 for them both 2 games of bowling each and a basket meal. The atmosphere was okay. Although it was dark like a disco effect and the music was a little too loud. You had to raise your voice to speak to each other. I would probably return if there was a special offer on. I believe they have offers on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Not sure if these are during certain hours

Great bowling alley- recommend going on a Tuesday as they have 50% off but would suggest booking if you do this as was very busy. Can order food and drinks to the lane and we loved the selfie feature on the scoreboard

Can get some reasonable deals if you go at certain times. Can order food & drink to your lane which is helpful. Sometimes get bookings for groups of unsupervised teens messing about on lanes which can be annoying but generally fun

Was here for my sons birthday party, really good value for money, highly recommend for anybody looking for kids party's and staff are are amazing. Well done to the Team there keep up the good work. Thanks for making the day 👍👍

On arrival we had a 20 minute wait until a bowling slot would be free but that's absolutely fine because it's inside of an arcade! There is also drinks served within the arcade both alcoholic and none alcoholic. By the time we had a stroll around it was our turn to bowl. Using the screen we were allowed to type our own names in and decide who goes first. They have fun music playing and the atmosphere is brilliant. Prices are decent and the place is very clean and professional. Would definitely go again!

Bowling was brilliant, service at the bar very slow and didn't seem to know what they were doing, waited ages for drinks, cocktails and coffee cold. Disappointed but still a good evening out.

Very rude cocky staff today, my younger brother who is autistic went to change his pound for pennies and the machine ran out, asked multiple times for the staff to help and they replied being abrupt, snappy and making him on verge of a panic attack, asked if he could just have his pound back but still wouldn’t help… not very good to be treating a minor like this…

A great experience for our cubs to end another term of scouting. Fun was had by all.

Very disappointing went into speak in person to find out why leeds was cheaper than Castleford for same event lady explained the reason, for travel reasons for others i booked Castleford anyway a few weeks in advance for a family get together for my sons birthday this was a surprise for him the lady at the time was really helpful and appeared happy to help told me if i wanted to bring balloons, cake etc down in advance they would be happy to put them up for me, which they did, i asked at time of booking if there was a time limited which i was told NO and that as they was so many of us she was booking off the top 3 lanes for us which is more private pointing out the area she was meaning, arrived for bowling was asked for names which then they decided who was playing with who which had to be changed all then appeared to be going well everyone was playing happily enjoying themselves then mid game the system was closed down went to find out what happened to be told it was on system that id booked for 1 hour pizza party then asked was that what i booked NOPE we had been there over an hour by then and not had any pizza as i returned to where my family was as the game they closed down had been put back up for us to finish to find my family had to move as they had booked one of the lanes out and somebody else was playing on the lane inbetween us before we had even got all packed up this to me was disgraceful still no mention of a time limit either today by any staff member the night ended up ruined didnt even get to do the birthday cake and found strangers in middle of the 3 lanes we had booked and to top it off while we was all trying to rush to get all things together staff happily just wondered up taking drinks away without even asking if they was finished, i get its a buisness but customer service is what keeps businesses running and this was terrible standard at any time never mind during a celebration i have rated 2 stars purely became the lady who booked did seem happy to help also the first part of evening was enjoyed shame it was spoilt and staff just didnt care having nothing to say really, finally giving us our un used birthday cake after having to go request it back, wont be rushing back in a hurry and certainly wouldn't arrange a get together here again. Its right what they say stick to what you know best.

Played bowl and eat, menu asks you up front what you want to eat, food came out withing minutes of starting to bowl. I am not complaining as this is really speedy service but would have much preferred to get food in the middle of the games. Just makes you feel a bit rushed. Other than this need new balls, some are a bit square, especially after my sons way of throwing it. Bowling makes a great family fun day out. And again I can't fault the friendly staff.

Really expensive for what it is if you don't come on one of the days where they have a deal, thankfully we went on a 50% off Tuesday deal. Convenient you can order food via a QR code and food is as decent as you'd expect for a bowling alley

Bowling alley with arcade games and bar. Feels a bit dated and definitely expensive for what it is, unless you visit on Tuesday when bowling is 50% off. It felt a bit crowded when we visited but the lanes are separated with perspex glass which helps a bit.

Great arcade etc didn’t go bowling. not a lot of choice for prizes . My son won 3000 tickets but had to give them to a family with small children because there weren’t any suitable prizes for him . So better prizes would be great please !!!

Went here a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved it. A little pricey but you pay for what you got. Lovely little touch with your photo being up on the board. Overall we had a lovely evening and will be visiting again :-)

I've always had a great time using arcade, pool & bowling. However for the first time have witnessed the rudest staff ever stood behind bar, when waiting for assistance they stood talking, look directly at me without no effort to ask me what was wrong. Later a young child went to the bar & started shouting for help only one of the ladies was serving this time & the other did not go over to him despite multiples of shouting..... I from a distance could hear him & had to assist due to there poor service & lack of regard

We love Tenpin Tuesdays, half price bowling & beer is a win HOWEVER, the staff behind the bar are very slow and quite miserable, it's also like a sauna crossed with the Sahara desert in here on half price nights!! Surely with the amount of people they're expecting on a Tues night, they can put the air con on higher than setting 1. We do love it and it's such good value for money but so hard to concentrate when it's SO HOT!!!

We want to give a shout out to the absolute angel DEE..She rescued us when we were having issues with the Piano game in the amusement area. She is fabulous & extremely kind.She sorted out tickets for us . Thankyou Dee. This was on Saturday 30th September Xxx

Good bowling experience with a pizza thrown in! The pins are on strings but I don’t know enough to say if this is a good or bad thing. I’m certain some pins got knocked down because of the strings but not 100% sure. I’m getting older now and couldn’t see the pins in the dark so well! Pizza was tasty.

Booked in for a reasonable price on Tuesday for 2 games. The place was packed. We got to our lane and started the game to find the barriers werent working as they should so they ended up moving us lanes. Unfortunately the same happened again on this lane and had a bit of messing around with staff trying to sort it. In the end when the bumper didn't pop up we pulled it up manually. Not impressed at all with the bowling. Food and drinks were cheap and very fast.

Love the new layout since we were last in. There was a minor mix up on our booking time but Akira helped us out. Cool guy

Really good. Accidentally purchased for Leeds instead of Castleford but they transferred booking no questions asked. Lanes are nice. 4* because the lane wasn't cleaned before we were put on it, and for the lack of ball weights and hole sizes.

Great time for a date night booked in easily and everything was clean and tidy nice feature having your photo added to the score board as well would recommend calling in advance to make sure there’s space especially on a weekend

I don't claim to be a bowling expert, far from it. It's perhaps been a good couple of years since we last played a game but as a bit of fun with the family on a birthday trip out we turned up and got a lane. Not much instruction on the all electronic scoreboard, we somehow managed to only add 1 person rather than 5 and had to get the staff to come reset things. As a plus, you can wear your own shoes so long as they are flat. Kind of takes away from the experience of old and certainly means I can't use the excuse of the shoes being cursed or uncomfortable. What I would say as a rather large negative is that the balls here were all very beaten up. You can see them 'bobble' all the way down the lane as the chunks that have been taken out of them knock it off course. I know it's likely the same at most places but I don't remember them being quite this bad. Don't take it too seriously is what I'm saying, and if you do.. bring your own ball.

Not at all impressed with this place. I suppose I can't really blame them for me having a bad game, but the pins on strings are a bit naff. Main problem is that there was mess, absolutely everywhere, while staff stood around looking bored. Ladies toilets was filthy. Don't they hire cleaning staff here? Service was generally a bit lacklustre. Cold drinks were served in warm glasses by bar staff who didn't seem to know the first thing about customer service. Don't think I'll bother with this place in future.

Went here for my daughter's birthday. Booked in advance to avoid queues. I thought it was quite expensive when I bowled (about £50 for 2 games for a family of 4) Got assigned lane 23. Which was near the end of the lanes right next to a load of building works. So we bowled in virtually silence as we couldn't hear ourselves talk and had to keep our coats on as it was freezing cold. Also the quality of the lanes and equipment was poor. The bowling balls all had big chunks out of them and barely rolled straight and the bumpers on the lane to our left kept failing. All in all it was rubbish. Wouldn't go back. There's so many other things to do at Xscape I'd try something else. The only positive was that the staff were friendly and polite.

I went there with hubby and it was the best time of my life.

Not the best bowling I've used and not the worst. Lanes were cramped and felt claustrophobic with all the plastic screens in place. The optional bumpers or no bumpers for each player is nice Not totally wheelchair friendly but only a small step onto the lanes which was manageable

Good afternoon out with friends. Pity the two lanes we were using went into fault twice, but at least when notified, they quite quickly reset the lanes and we continued our game. Would be nice if novices had an indication on how to select a ball.

I took my 4 year old for his first proper game of bowling last night, safe to say he absolutely loved it we will definitely be returning very soon as he's already asking to go back 😀

Brought my son and friends for a couple of games of bowling, reasonably priced and based on no. of games rather than time. Played pool too, good size 8' tables and very fast. Cues a bit battered and bent though.

We went over on our day off on a Wednesday and could not believe it when she said 3 games would be 21 pounds per player. I was expecting some kind of mid week offer like they do at other lanes. The lanes had no oil on them and the pins were strange. Worst I have bowled on in a while and so much more expensive.

Pricey but arcade good

The place has loads to do and is great fun. Kept very clean and tidy. However on every visit especially on a sat night there is a lack of staff. Waiting 15mins for a drink at the bar as only 1 member of staff on. No darts available to play on the dart board. And on last visit no triangle given to set up the balls on the pool table

Had a lovely time just me and my daughter went early afternoon mid week all chilled no issues. Staff were helpful and friendly. Had a great time. X

We have been here several times previously and have enjoyed but this time we were really disappointed. We always have a burger because they're normally very nice but this time they were just slapped together with no salad. We won't be having food again.

Nice place, good price and friendly staff but the drinks / food are expensive e.g. £1.95 for a bottle of water.

Loud, busy on weekends but it's too be expected of a bowling alley. They keep raising the prices, knowing the nearest bowling alley too this is in Leeds.
